Story
Jake came from South Carolina as a foster dog that our son and his friends fell in love with. He is 3 years old. He was with the boys for 2m in the and created a tremendous bond. Our son brought him back home with him We have 2 dogs and one is a rescue too. The dogs are not getting along as our dogs are territorial of us and our home and not working well with jake Jake is very easy with people and loves being with anyone who will give him attention He’s very skittish when he sees a bike or scooter. He does well with other dogs

Story
Meet Max!Ok, so Max may have a common and ordinary name but please don`t be fooled - Max is far from ordinary! He`s a smaller size dog with a big personality full of lots of feelings especially love. He`s a puppy at heart and really enjoys time with people and other dogs. Max can be a bit shy or reserve when you first meet him but he comes around fast especially if you smile at him and speak to him in baby talk. Don`t ask why thats a thing but for him he enjoys it! He can go to a home with another dog, preferably outside of the city due to his little bit of fear of loud noises and traffic but would do ok with time, lots of high value treats and especially with the company of another dog. We have been helping him learn the basic foundational behaviors which he loves showing off so if he sounds like the pup for you please come visit him at our Boston location - he will be excited to meet you!Max is currently up to date on all vaccinations, has been spayed/neutered, microchipped and been seen by our vet team. For more information on Max or any other animal currently residing at the Animal Rescue League of Boston, please call us at 617-426-9170. We welcome adopters from NH, RI, CT, and NY. However, we will be unable to facilitate same day adoptions due to state regulated paperwork requirements. Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper, slow introductionsGood with cats: NoGood with kids: Older children only (16+)Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesIf you’re looking for the ultimate companion, Jaxtyn checks all of the boxes: he’s extremely smart, attentive, dedicated, and eager to make his humans happy. (Plus, he’s extra, extra handsome if we do so say so ourselves!)Jaxtyn absolutely loves affection and thrives on the connection he makes with his humans. While he does prefer a slower introduction when meeting new people, he quickly becomes comfortable and loves to show off his impressive manners. Jax gets along well with other dogs after proper introductions (he can still be wary of new friends he meets on the street), and while he would enjoy a dog sibling to nap and play with, he would be just as happy as an only dog where he can be the center of attention.Jaxtyn has been working diligently on his training with his foster dad and has an impressive skillset that includes focus and release commands, expert-level leash-walking skills, and all of his basic commands like ‘sit’, ‘down’, and ‘wait’. Jaxtyn is fully house and crate-trained and thrives with structure and routine. Jaxtyn is currently working to gain more confidence on walks around things like bikes, scooters, or busy sidewalks and he’s making stellar progress. Jaxtyn would do great in a home in the city as he’s shown he can be comfortable in an urban setting or would love a more low-key house in the suburbs with a yard to romp and roam in. Bonus - he’s great in the car so he’d be thrilled to be your adventure buddy! Jaxtyn is an amazing boy who’s ready to find - and unconditionally love - his family! June 22, 2024, 1:26 am

Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: UnknownGood with kids: YesCrate trained: NoHouse Trained: YesDaisy is a sweet, wonderful, and loving pup, on the lookout for her forever home! Calm and well-mannered, Daisy loves nothing more than relaxing in a safe, comfortable space, with her humans by her side. A perfect house guest, Daisy prefers to be outside of the crate, and proves her manners each time she is left at home. While Daisy has been around all types of humans, she seems to need a bit more time adjusting to the men in the house, and does best with slow, low to the ground introductions, at her pace. She has met kids of all ages, and would prefer to be around dog-savvy kids that know when to give her space. With proper patient intros, Daisy will befriend any respectful four-legged friend, and would love a dog to look up to, who can teach her that life isn’t as scary as it seems! Daisy loves being inside of the car on a ride, but  would prefer to walk on a quieter street, as being outside of the car isn’t her favorite! Secure, monitored areas are best for this girl. Sleeping through the night, and loving a good nap wherever her humans are, Daisy is ready to be your shadow! If your patient, loving home seems like the right fit for a sweet, hopeful girl, Daisy just might be the pup for you! Please Note: All dogs currently available for adoption are posted on our website. If you cannot find a particular dog on our website, he/she may be on a temporary foster hold. All dogs are otherwise posted until they are officially adopted. This dog may have other interested adopters in line. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application.June 22, 2024, 1:26 am
