Story
Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: Yes, with proper introsGood with cats: Yes, dog savvy catsGood with kids: Older children only (13+)Crate trained: YesHouse trained: YesZaria is an affectionate, and loyal girl with a real zest for life. She is a medium energy dog who enjoys a play session, followed by a nap. She benefits from slow introductions to other dogs. She would also be fine as an only dog. Zaria happily entertains herself with toys or a romp in the backyard. She has lived with cats and has for the most part ignored their presence. Zaria loves her people and enjoys making new human friends. She can be an enthusiastic greeter and sometimes forgets her size, so older dog-savvy children would be best for her. Zaria enjoys going for walks around the neighborhood and looks to her humans for reassurance and guidance in new situations. Zaria is an intelligent girl and very eager to please. She knows a plethora of commands, and loves to learn new things every day. She is fully house trained and crate trained. Zaria enjoys relaxing in her crate throughout the day and sleeps soundly in it overnight. She is looking for an experienced and patient adopter who will continue to provide her with structure and routine so she can continue to be her best self. Are you the lucky family who gets to add Zaria to your bunch? Please Note: All dogs are posted until they are officially adopted. Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VTGood with dogs: YesGood with cats: Yes, dog savvy catsGood with kids: Yes, dog savvy childrenCrate trained: YesHouse trained: Yes Meet Hotch! He is a lovable, affectionate boy with a huge personality and an even bigger heart! This medium-energy pup has bursts of playful energy mixed with plenty of couch snuggle time. Hotch would do well in an active home to take him on fun walks and provide him with a lot of love.Hotch is very sociable and gets along wonderfully with other dogs of all ages and sizes. He would do well with or without a canine sibling. Hotch was curious about the cats in his foster home and would do fine with dog-savvy cats who don't mind a friendly sniff. He has done well with children ages 1 to 9 who are used to dogs, though he greets bigger and smaller humans alike, so he'd do best with dog-savvy kids. Hotch enjoys playing with stuffed toys and loves his walks around the neighborhood! This smart boy is eager to please! He is fully crate trained (sometimes just needing a little coaxing with a treat) and house trained. Hotch is crated during the day and overnight without any issues. He transitioned easily to potty training and has had zero accidents since coming north. Hotch is excellent on leash. If you're looking for an adventure buddy by day and snuggle buddy at night, then this goofy, lovable boy is for you! Please Note: All dogs are posted on our website until they are officially adopted. Story
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Butters! Buttersis approximately 3 months old and 20 lbs currently and he likely has some Boxer in his mix. Butter`s story is heartbreaking. He was left in a crate to freeze until a good samaritan rescued him. In his foster home, he is working hard on his house training, crate training and leash walking. He could join households with kids 10+, dog savvy cats, and other dogs. As a puppy he will need someone who can teach him how to be a great adult dog.His foster says, `Butters is a happy boy! Ready to make best friends with you and with anyone he meets. His smile is priceless, along with his head tilt. Give him a chance to join your family to keep learning and growing into the sweetest, luckiest boy ever.`He is available for adoption in N Dartmouth in March. Story
Meet Lacy, our 2.5-year-old 50 lb rescue! She is an incredibly loving, loyal, and calm companion who just wants to be by your side. She loves snuggling up on the couch or in bed. Lacy is wonderfully behaved at home, fantastic on walks (non-reactive to people or other dogs), and has a blast playing at doggy daycare! As much as we adore her, we are expecting a baby and must make the heartbreaking decision to rehome her. Lacy bonds strongly and exhibits guarding behavior around me, especially when visitors arrive. She did have a bite incident in May 2025. Since then, we've invested in extensive training and tried medication, resulting in zero incidents since! Because she still shows protective tendencies, we and our trainer agree it isn't safe to keep her with a newborn. Lacy will absolutely thrive in a calm home without small children or frequent visitors, where she can be your snuggly best friend.
