Story
Meet Blitz! Blitz is a 5-year-old, 55 pound working dog. He's smart, food driven, and loves playing fetch. He sleeps through the night in his crate, is house trained, loves learning new tricks, and can be good with other dogs if they allow him to calmly greet them. Blitz would do best in an adult only home, with an owner who is active. He loves going on walks, runs, hikes and car rides. He can be wary of new people, and will need someone to continue to train him on confidence building. Blitz will walk in a heel when requested, he is a quick learner, super food motivated, and will LOVE his owners immensely. Update from foster Mom: With his people he is the BEST dog, and he's good with dogs if they aren't pushy. He's a quick learner, a cuddle bug, house trained, muzzle trained, e-collar trained. He LOVES hiking with me in the woods, has amazing recall, and loves playing fetch. I believe he would be the best dog on a farm, where he isn't forced to interact with strangers. I strongly believe that when he is off leash, he will choose to avoid strangers as opposed to confronting them. So why has this amazing already trained pup been with us so long? He doesn't do too well with strangers. We've gotten people interested, but seemingly they seem to ignore his "wary of new people" bit in his bio, and those who have applied want a friendly dog who is ok with meeting everyone. Are you someone who will allow Blitz to become comfortable with strangers slowly? Maybe an active outdoorsy introvert? Or okay with leaving your pup at home while you go out to be extroverted? Blitz is AMAZING. he just needs someone who understand he isn't too fond of people until he feels safe with them. This means not allowing others to approach him on walks and when out and about. NO trips to Home Depot or TJ Maxx for this guy. He only needs outings with his new parents! P.S. This means he will take time to warm up to you too! -- If you are interested in finding out more about Blitz, please fill out an adoption application by copying and pasting the following link into your browser: http://bit.ly/2JnZqK5 Blitz is being fostered in Worcester. The adoption fee is $250. Like Broken Tail Rescue on Facebook!. Follow Broken Tail Rescue on Instagram! Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label. We expect that all adopted dogs will enroll in a formal dog training class with their new owners. Obedience and training classes are an excellent way to learn more about your newly adopted dog, gain handling and training experience, and improve your relationship with your pet.

Story
Meet Lilou! She is about 4 years old, 40 lbs, and she may have some Boxer in her mix! In her foster home, she is working on house-training, crate-training and leash-walking. She could go to a home with kids 10+ and other dogs. Cats are unknown. She has been with her BFF, Leo.Her foster say, "Lilou is a sweet and loving girl! She loves car rides and curling up on the couch. She knows how to sit and will paw you for attention if the treats aren't fast enough! A good walk will do enough for her to be ready to come home and chill. She doesn't play with toys much, but loves treats and being able to be with her people. Lilou is currently living with another dog (Leo) and would do great with an easy-going dog her size to wrestle and play with. She does best with dogs her size, so no small dogs or cats would fit her lifestyle best. She is very food motivated and would respond well to obedience training! She is used to eating her meals in her kennel as well as spending some parts of the day in there. She doesn't chew up items, furniture, and has never gotten into the garbage or food bags. Behaves well in the house without being in a kennel! She is such a good girl that would love to spend her days going on walks and curled up on the couch with her favorite people."She is available for adoption with an approved adopter in Dartmouth, MA on March 1st. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.- Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, financial, and emotional responsibilities of a puppy/dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- Puppies/dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fee can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Story
Meet Jedi! He is about 9 months old, 35 lbs, and he is likely has some Boxer or Pit Bull in his mix! In his foster home, he is working on his house-training, crate-training and leash-walking. He could go to a home with kids 10+ and other dogs. Cats are unknown. His foster say, "Jedi has had a bit of a rough start to his life. He's been learning how to "Dog" with our 4 resident pups. He's been working on leash training at the park and is going great. He's learning that car rides equal special treats like Pup Cups. He has discovered that he loves fetching balls from the steps of a swimming pool and will work at this "job" all day long! He's learned that if he sits he gets rewarded with tasty treats! That his crate is good place to rest or sleep especially when he's fed in it. Although his favorite place to sleep is in your lap and he might be the biggest snuggle bug I've ever met. He's had a great low to medium energy while he's been with us. He loves going for car rides but will need to be tethered unless you want help driving as he wants to always be as close to you as possible. He has learned that a home means he will never have to wonder when or if he will be fed. Because that was always a question in his prior living situation he can get overexcited about food and have a tendency to counter surf. He does not meet a stranger and has a the most sweet and loving disposition. He has this great blocky headed face that you just want to kiss and love on. This sweet boy has so much love to give he's going to make a great companion or family member for some lucky adopter!."He is available for adoption with an approved adopter in N Dartmouth on March 1st. ***** My adoption fee will be waived February 20 25 during a special adoption event!Learn more at:http://www.mspca.org/feewaived Meet young puppy Juliette! Juliette is happy, bouncy, and full of life! Juliette loves her friends over at the shelter and has been our latestlittle puppy project. Thus far in our care, Juliette is working hard at practicing her polite greetings, comfortably navigating the world on leash, and using her little puppy mouth in appropriate ways all by the means of force-free, positively reinforced interactions. We are looking for adopterswilling to take on this little lady who will require a bit more support than your average puppy while she continues to learn the ropes of life!Juliette is a bit worried about dogs, and would prefer to be the only pup in the home. Juliette has a history of living with a cat that she waspretty interested in playing with, so any cats involved in her life should be dog-savvy, and comfortable with a high-energy pup! Juliette is lookingto join a home with adults only at this time to best set her on the track to continue practicing being her best self in a lower traffic home. If our smart cookie Juliette sounds like the pup for you, please head to the Methuen MSPCA location Tuesday-Sunday between the hours of 12PM-3PM!

While volunteers review applications as quickly as possible, it is helpful if you review the following information about our adoption process:LISTED BREED(S) & AGE: We are taking our best guess on age, breed, and size when fully grown, based on the dog's physical appearance and what we might have learned about one or both parents. We rarely know a dog's exact age or full breed mix of dogs, as our information is usually limited.RNR’s ADOPTION PROCESS: The first step in adopting or meeting one of our adoptable pups is to fill out an application at www.rescueallthedogs.org/adopt. Once we receive your application, one of our volunteers will contact you, review our adoption process, and answer any additional questions you may have. It is important to note that we do not go on a first-come-first-serve basis for adoptions but on the best fit for a family and, most importantly, the dog.MEETING ADOPTABLE DOGS: Meet and greets will not be scheduled until your adoption application is submitted and reviewed.APPLYING ONLINE: When completing an application, please do so from a computer (not a mobile device); make sure you answer ALL the questions in as much detail as possible and that you receive a confirmation email. ##1947939##
