Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This handsome guy is River! He’s a mixed breed (possibly boxer mix?), weighs 65 pounds and is estimated to be 4-5 years old.  River is our resident goofball! He’s such a friendly, happy boy. He is so endearing, always wagging his little nub of a tail! If you let him, he will gladly climb on your lap and give you kisses. River truly has the sweetest temperament. He walks well on a leash and is friendly to other dogs. He would benefit from some basic training but he’s more than happy to work for some treats. If you are looking for a sweet boy to add to your family, please consider River! River is neutered, microchipped and up to date on shots. If you’d like to meet River, please fill out an application on our website at Rescueridge.com. If your application is a possible match, a volunteer will get back to you to schedule a meet.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 25, 2026, 12:40 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Spade is a gorgeous Boxer Pittie mix who needs a new home without other dogs.  Spade is about 1.5 years old. He is a friendly, happy, wiggly-butt with people and plays with the other 3 dogs in his current home when outside.  He meets some new dogs on a leash very well, but can be reactive to others.  He is housebroken and good in the car, and loves his squeaky toys!  Spade is a big lap dog and LOVES to sleep under a blanket.  He is good with children, but because he can get excited when meeting would be best with bigger kids.  He loves to play in water outside! Spade can be left alone without being crated with no issues.  He has no experience with indoor cats.  Spade is neutered and UTD on all vaccines. Spade does have some anxiety which is being managed with Prozac. He will make a fun and great companion to a family with no other pets.  A fenced in yard would be appreciated.  Spade is available for foster or adoption, or foster-to-adopt.     * adoption fee: $450.00.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc  Pet care is not cheap or easy, and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption.  After all that these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving committed home.    How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wag-on-inn.com . Story
Dominick urgently needs a foster home so that our rescue can pull him from the shelter to avoid euthanasia. He is a big-hearted, affectionate 1.5-2 year old Boxer/Bull dog mix who is struggling in the shelter simply because he loves people too much. He is losing weight due to the stressful over crowed shelter environment since he is being kenneled for a year now. Dominick is one of those dogs whose spirit quietly fades behind kennel walls. He is incredibly loving, people-oriented, and emotionally sensitive, and the shelter environment has been very hard on him. Dogs like Dominick—gentle, affectionate, and deeply bonded to humans—often suffer the most when they’re deprived of connection and routine. Dominick has energy and strength, so he will do best with a foster who enjoys daily walks, playtime, and possibly access to a fenced yard where he can run and decompress. Once his energy is burned, he is more than happy to cuddle, relax, and sleep by your side. He has a classic Boxer personality—curious, playful, intelligent, and full of joy for life. And Dominick loves toys, and if given an opportunity you will see him carry his toys around happily He is: Very affectionate and people-loving Smart and eager to learn Crate trained and housebroken Playful, athletic, and fun A wonderful companion for someone who enjoys an active dog with a soft heart What Dominick needs most right now is a foster home—a calm, loving place where he can finally exhale, feel safe, and show who he truly is outside the shelter. Fostering him will not only save his life, it will also help us learn more about him and match him with the right forever home. ✨ You don’t need to be perfect—just kind, patient, and willing to open your heart. ✨ All supplies and support will be provided by the rescue. If you can foster Dominick—even foster to adopt —you will be giving him the greatest gift: hope. 📩 Please message us at Rescuewithoutborders@gmail.com if you can help or would like more information. Fosters save lives. Dominick’s life depends on it.

Story
Meet Bruce — the boy who’s been waiting for someone to see the gentle heart behind those big, hopeful eyes.Bruce is a 3 year old, 50 pound American Staffordshire Terrier with a story that tugs at you in all the right ways. He was found wandering as a stray, and although he tried his best to be brave, the shelter environment was overwhelming for him. The stress took a toll — he lost weight, shut down a bit, and quietly waited for life to get better. And then it did. Thanks to Sammy’s Hope, Bruce was welcomed into a loving foster home where he could finally exhale. In just a short time, he has blossomed into the dog he was always meant to be. He’s relaxed, curious about the world, and so affectionate it’s impossible not to fall for him. His appetite is back, he sleeps soundly through the night in his crate without a peep, and he’s rediscovered the simple joy of playing with his toys.Bruce is friendly, eager to please, and knows his basic commands. He’s also extremely food motivated — treats are his love language — which makes training fun and rewarding. His foster family describes him as a sweetheart who just wants to be near his people and soak up the comfort he missed for so long.Bruce isn’t just looking for a home. He’s looking for his home — the one where he can continue to feel safe, cherished, and part of something real and lasting. If you’re searching for a loyal companion with a tender spirit and a heart ready to bond deeply, Bruce is waiting. If you are interested in meeting Bruce, please complete an Interest Form. An adoption counselor will contact you to schedule an appointment.March 14, 2026, 8:09 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This adorable pittie mix is Akari! She is18 months old and was raised in a loving home. Unfortunately, difficult circumstances left her family unable to properly care for her and they made the heartbreaking decision to surrender her. They truly had her bests interests at heart. Akari was confused and stressed when she first arrived, but it never stopped her from being super sweet and affectionate to all of our volunteers. Akari is now in foster and her foster mom states that she is an absolute love bug! She is a perfect house guest. She is housebroken, friendly to everyone, and very well behaved in the home. Akari has been spending her daysin foster alternating between running on the beach and napping (and snoring!) on the couch.  Akari is playful, engaging and has the energy level you would expect from a young dog. While her foster mom loves having her, she cannot keep her. Akari is looking for a family that will love and cherish her forever- this sweet girl deserves that and more!  Akari is up to date on vaccines and will be spayed upon adoption. If you’d like to meet this cutie pie, please fill out an application on our website at Rescueridge.com. If your application is a possible match, a volunteer will get back to you to schedule a meet.  Akari is currently in a foster home in Monmouth County NJ Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 7, 2026, 2:43 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Princess, a sweet senior girl in need of a new home. Princess is a 9 year old, 50ish pound pittie mix surrendered to us (along with her sister Angel) when their mom fell ill and could no longer care for them. They are not bonded and we are looking for separate home for them. Princess spent her whole life in a loving home and is doing her best to adjust to kennel life. Princess is friendly to everyone. She is a loving and affectionate girl who enjoys laying on a comfy bed and going for leisurely walks. She is housebroken and well behaved in the home. She would be a wonderful companion or family dog and she deserves to spend her golden years curled up on a couch instead of a kennel floor. Her only request is to be the only dog in the home. Princess is microchipped, UTD on vaccines and will be spayed upon adoption. If you’d like to meet Princess, please fill out an adoption application on our website at Rescueridge.com.
