Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.NJSpade is a gorgeous Boxer Pittie mix who needs a new home without other dogs.  Spade is about 1.5 years old. He is a friendly, happy, wiggly-butt with people and plays with the other 3 dogs in his current home when outside.  He meets some new dogs on a leash very well, but can be reactive to others.  He is housebroken and good in the car, and loves his squeaky toys!  Spade is a big lap dog and LOVES to sleep under a blanket.  He is good with children, but because he can get excited when meeting would be best with bigger kids.  He loves to play in water outside! Spade can be left alone without being crated with no issues.  He has no experience with indoor cats.  Spade is neutered and UTD on all vaccines. Spade does have some anxiety which is being managed with Prozac. He will make a fun and great companion to a family with no other pets.  A fenced in yard would be appreciated.  Spade is available for foster or adoption, or foster-to-adopt. His adoption donation is $500.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 21, 2026, 9:19 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Mochie is a goofy pup who is currently with our partner rescue in Louisiana but hoping to come to NJ soon. We do offer a foster-to-adopt trial to approved adopters. Meet Mochie  Big dog energy? Check. Goofy personality? Absolutely. Heart of gold? 100%. Mochie is a Boxer/Lab mix who brings the fun wherever she goes. She’s the kind of girl who will make you laugh daily with her silly antics and oversized personality. When she plays, she plays hard—and she’s not shy about it! Mochie is very vocal during playtime which can surprise people at first, but it’s just her way of expressing pure joy. Don’t let her playful side fool you—this girl knows how to settle. Mochie is both house-trained and kennel-trained, and she’s calm and content in her crate. She does best with space to burn off her energy and would absolutely love a home with another large, playful dog who can keep up with her style of fun. She gets along well with all the dogs in the rescue, but her enthusiastic play style means she’s best suited for a home that understands big dog energy and isn’t intimidated by her “talking” during play. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, loyal companion who will keep you smiling and fill your home with personality, Mochie might just be your girl. Mochie is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Her  adoption donation is $500. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 21, 2026, 9:19 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Biscuit – Soft Eyes, Gentle Soul, Ready for Home  Biscuit will be in NJ on 6/27 Some dogs spend their whole lives trying to find their way home. Biscuit's story started with uncertainty when she was found wandering alongside another friendly female dog near a local restaurant. But Biscuit didn't act scared or shut down, she did something unforgettable. She hopped right into a foster's truck like she already knew she was finally safe. Despite efforts to find her family, no one ever came for her. What we do know is that Biscuit had clearly known life as an indoor dog before. She's already spayed, microchipped, and has wonderful house manners. Now she's looking for something even better than her old life:  a family that chooses her forever. Biscuit is approximately 5 years old and fully grown at an easygoing 34 pounds, she's the perfect size for sharing the couch, riding along on errands, or curling up beside you after a long day. This Boxer mix has an incredibly sweet personality. She's affectionate, gentle, and happiest just being near her people. She enjoys toys, rides well in the car, and has the kind of calm energy that makes her easy to love. She's house trained, crate trained, and friendly with both people and other dogs. Biscuit isn't asking for much. She doesn't need endless adventures or constant excitement. She wants comfort. She wants kindness. She wants someone who notices the way she leans in for affection and decides she never has to wonder where she belongs again. After being overlooked once, Biscuit deserves a family that won't let her go. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a gentle heart and an old-soul kind of love, Biscuit may already be waiting by the door for you. Biscuit is up to date on vaccines and tested negative for heartworm. Biscuit has been spayed and has a microchip. Her adoption fee is $500.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 21, 2026, 9:19 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This handsome guy is Trey! Trey is a Pittie mix, about 6 years old. Trey was adopted through Rescue Ridge a little over a year ago. His mom loves him dearly but due do some very difficult unforeseen circumstances, she can no longer keep Trey. She is heartbroken and so are we. We have a few weeks to find Trey a new home, or he will have to come back to our kennel.  Trey is a fantastic dog. Super sweet and friendly! Loves all his mom’s friends and neighbors and is good with children. He’s housebroken and extremely well behaved in the home. He has even had professional training! His mom describes him as the ultimate cuddle bug. He loves to be around people and would love a home where someone is home a majority of the time. Trey also loves to play and would truly enjoy a home with a fenced yard. Trey’s only request is to be the only dog in the home. Trey is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. If you’d like to meet this sweet boy, please fill out an application on our website at Rescueridge.com. If your application is a possible match, a volunteer will reach out to you to schedule a meet.    Trey is located in Monmouth County, NJVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 21, 2026, 10:32 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Angel, a sweet senior girl in need of a new home. Angel is a 9 year old, 50ish pound pittie mix surrendered to us (along with her sister Princess) when their mom fell ill and could no longer care for them. They are not bonded and we are looking for separate home for them. Angel has lived her whole life in a loving home and is understandably confused by kennel life. Angel is very friendly, housebroken and well behaved in the home. She loves to lay in her bed and take leisurely walks. She has lots of love to give and would be a wonderful companion or family dog.
