Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.NJSpade is a gorgeous Boxer Pittie mix who needs a new home without other dogs.  Spade is about 1.5 years old. He is a friendly, happy, wiggly-butt with people and plays with the other 3 dogs in his current home when outside.  He meets some new dogs on a leash very well, but can be reactive to others.  He is housebroken and good in the car, and loves his squeaky toys!  Spade is a big lap dog and LOVES to sleep under a blanket.  He is good with children, but because he can get excited when meeting would be best with bigger kids.  He loves to play in water outside! Spade can be left alone without being crated with no issues.  He has no experience with indoor cats.  Spade is neutered and UTD on all vaccines. Spade does have some anxiety which is being managed with Prozac. He will make a fun and great companion to a family with no other pets.  A fenced in yard would be appreciated.  Spade is available for foster or adoption, or foster-to-adopt. His adoption donation is $500.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 19, 2026, 1:32 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.NJMeet Mochie! Mochie is about 2 years old, and our best guess is a Boxer/Hound mix. Her story started in Louisiana, where she was found as a stray, covered in fleas and in pretty rough shape. She eventually landed on the euthanasia list at an overcrowded shelter before a local rescue stepped in to save her. After months of waiting for her chance to come north, Mochie finally made it to New Jersey and is ready to find her home.   And after everything she’s been through, this girl still absolutely adores people.   Mochie is a true lovergirl. She gives the best kisses, loves to snuggle her face right into your neck, and wants nothing more than to be close to her people. She’s been lovely with kids and has a wonderfully affectionate and goofy personality.   She’s also got some seriously good houseguest skills! Mochie walks beautifully on leash, rides wonderfully in the car, is house-trained, and settles into her crate like an angel.   Mochie has lived with other dogs and enjoys playing, although she can be a little bossy and has an enthusiastic play style, so a meet with any resident dog will be important. She’s not a match for a home with cats. And this athletic girl has been known to clear a 5-foot fence, so she’ll need a home that can keep her safely contained.   Mochie has spent a long time waiting for someone to choose her. She’s sweet, silly, affectionate and so ready to finally be somebody’s girl. ❤️   Mochie is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption donation is $500.   Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time, and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they each deserve a loving, committed home.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.October 19, 2026, 1:32 pm

Story
This dog is part of our shelter outreach program where we take dogs from overcrowded shelters in hopes of finding them a forever home here! We generally do not have much background info on them and cannot guarantee they are housebroken.  They are all up to date on vaccines, spayed/neutered and microchipped. Lilo has joined team JSAC with the hope of finding her people. Pictures don't do her justice, she is so pretty, wonderful personality, loves to walk, play, obsessed with her favorite balls- you just have to meet her. Lilo is 8 years young , looking for a calm quiet home with a fenced yard. She loves humans and cuddle time with them. She is doing great with basic commands, can be ok with cats that have been around dogs, and dogs- a meet and greet required. Kids 16+ 10/14/2026 3:20 pm

Story
Meet Reese! This sweet girl is almost 8 months old and is giving us some serious Boxer vibes with her adorable little underbite, square head and petite build. Reese is settling beautifully into her foster home and getting caught up on all the puppy basics she didn’t have the opportunity to learn before. She’s working on crate training and housebreaking and making great progress! Reese loves exploring, going for walks and discovering all the fun things the world has to offer. She’s a sweet, curious girl who is finally getting the chance to just be a puppy, and we can’t wait to see her continue to blossom! If interested, please apply at pittiesandpals.com. Many other dogs need our help, please consider donating or sponsoring a dog, if possible. 100% of all money received from adoption fees and donations goes directly back to support saving other dogs through Pitties and Pals Rescue. Pitties and Pals is a 501c(3) non-profit and we are 100 percent volunteer based. Please consider donating. We appreciate your support. Visit pittiesandpals.com.

Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Ryder, Boxer mix, Brindle and White, Male neutered, 10 years old Ryder is a friendly boy who still has a lot of energy for a dog his age.  He loves to play with toys, and go for walks.  Ryder would do best in a home without children, as he may be too much for them.  He does also prefer to be the only pet in the home.   **This dog is at the Ocean County Animal Facility North located at 615 Fremont Ave, Jackson NJ (off of Hope Chapel Rd).  All dogs are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and have age appropriate shots.** To adopt our dogs you must come to the facility with your entire family, including dogs, to meet with our staff and the dog you are interested in. We are open to the public seven days a week between the hours of 1pm and 4pm.   Please call our facility at 732-657-8086 for more information about any of our pets! October 15, 2026, 4:32 pm
