Story
This gorgeous girl is a little shy and will need slow introductions at first and patience. Once she warms up she is very loving and her favorite thing to do is snuggle up close. New situations and places make her nervous so she would do best in a quiet home without much traffic and no small children. I think she would prefer a home body or a mellow couple with dog experience. She is about 2-3 yrs old so she is still very playful and loves running in the fenced in yard. She would do best with a well adjusted calm medium/large k9 friend or would be fine as an only dog too. No cats and no farm animals as she does have a high prey drive. She is about 40 pounds, house trained, up to date on core vaccines, microchipped and spayed. Interested in adopting me?  To fill out an application visit 3 Hearts 4 Paws.  Please note: we generally do not adopt out of state unless it is within 1-2 hours of us.  Currently due to COVID we are unable to accommodate out of state adoptions.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 25, 2024, 10:00 am

Story
Meet Handsome Butkus! We are not sure if he is one of those rare/non-existent Black Boxer or there is another breed in him. What we do know that he looks and acts like a typical Boxer and he will steal your heart with silly antics and his sweet expressive face. For no fault of his poor Butkus was at a crowded no kill local shelter for over 2 years and was developing kennel anxiety due to long stay at the shelter. Bully breeds are affectionate dogs who need human companionship and do not do well in solitary confinement. Hence, our rescue got him out and we are hoping a right family will take Butkus home soon. Butkus is an affectionate and a very playful dog. He is a best cuddle buddy while watching TV on the couch. He loves to sleep right next to you under the blanket. Like a typical bully breed, he is a quite dog and rarely barks. He is estimated to be over 3 yrs. old, compact and athletic built at around 60 pounds. He loves long walks and walks well on an Easy Walk harness. However, we are working on teaching him to curb his enthusiasm when he sees another dog. He is a smart dog who knows basic commands and very treat motivated and hence easy to train. Although with that cute underbite and those big puppy eyes he does get away with things sometimes. We are looking for someone who is committed to continue Butkus's training. He is friendly and social while meeting people but selective with dogs. He is very playful and loves his toys and bones. He has been around other dogs but would do best as an only dog since he is not good at sharing his stuff with other dogs. Because of his exuberance a home without cats and small children is recommended. A family that has experience with large dogs is a must. A home where someone is home most of the time would be best as Butkus doesn't like being alone for long period of time. He is up to date on all vaccinations, neutered and microchipped and ready to go home with you! Please email Rescuewithoutborders@gmail.com for more information. Start your new year right by making this loving dog a part of your family!!!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Bambi is a beautiful girl who is looking for a home. Bambi is now in a NJ foster home. Bambi came to us from the NYC shelter system. She was found in NYC as a stray with an old injury to her hind leg, it is weak and atrophied. Bambi went an orthopedic specialist who advised her rear leg should be amputated. Her surgery was completed and she recovered wonderfully. Dogs with 3 legs do just fine and can run just as fast as their 4 limbed friends.  Bambi is a friendly girl who wins over everyone who meets her! She is dog friendly and good with kids just no toddlers please as her playful exuberance is bound to knock them over. Bambi loves toys and loves to go for walks and car rides. She would be a great addition to most homes. Bambi is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She tested negative for heartworm. Bambi's adoption fee is $4 50.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.   How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wagoninn.rescuegroups.org . Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Mirabelle is an beautiful pup who is currently with our partner in Louisiana. Mirabelle is hoping to come to NJ soon if we find a foster or adopter. We offer a foster-to-adopt trial for approved adopters. Mirabelle is a friendly, playful girl. We think she is a boxer mix based on the cute smooshy face! Mirabelle is dog friendly. She is an active girl who likes to play and LOVES to run around the yard. She would love an active family and/or a fenced yard where she can run out her zoomies! Mirabelle needs some work walking on a leash. She did well on her cat test - she was actually scared of the cat. She sits nicely to get her harness on for walks and is ready to GO whenever you want to walk or play fetch! Mirabelle is very sweet but perhaps too exuberant and strong for young kids. Mirabelle is housebroken and has not had one accident in her foster home. Mirabelle is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. She tested negative for heartworm. Her adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption.
