Penny is an 11-year-old sweetheart who found herself back at the shelter after nearly a decade in a loving home. Adopted from us 9 years ago, Penny has spent most of her life exactly where she belonged—by her owner’s side, soaking up love, going on adventures, and being the loyal companion everyone hopes for. Sadly, due to her owner facing a terminal illness, Penny had to return to us while they prepared for the unimaginable. It’s clear she was deeply loved, and she carries that love with her in everything she does. At 61 pounds, Penny is the total package—dog friendly, cat friendly, and kid friendly. She’s gentle, well-rounded, and knows how to be the ultimate “good girl.” While she’s handling the transition with grace, this is not where she’s meant to spend her golden years. Penny deserves to be back in a home, back on a couch, back beside her person. She’s ready to give her heart all over again—she just needs someone willing to open theirs.

He is a friendly, happy, wiggly-butt with people and plays with the other 3 dogs in his current home when outside. He meets some new dogs on a leash very well, but can be reactive to others. He is housebroken and good in the car, and loves his squeaky toys! Spade is a big lap dog and LOVES to sleep under a blanket. He is good with children, but because he can get excited when meeting would be best with bigger kids. He loves to play in water outside! Spade can be left alone without being crated with no issues. He has no experience with indoor cats. Spade is neutered and UTD on all vaccines. Spade does have some anxiety which is being managed with Prozac. He will make a fun and great companion to a family with no other pets. A fenced in yard would be appreciated. Spade is available for foster or adoption, or foster-to-adopt. His adoption donation is $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. Draco is a handsome, resilient sato who was rescued from the streets of Puerto Rico and brought to our Sanctuary, where he received the medical care, socialization, and time he needed to heal. After many months of rehabilitation, this very good boy is now ready for his forever home! Our staff absolutely adores Draco. He is energetic, affectionate, and eager to learn, with a big personality and even bigger heart. Draco loves to play, learn new skills, and would thrive with an adopter who enjoys long walks, trips to the park, or letting him run around a backyard. He has a ton of love to give and will make a wonderful companion for an active home. Draco does well with other dogs but would do best in a cat-free home. His foster mom reports that he is already crate-trained and. house-trained! Draco is being fostered in New York City.
