River is our resident goofball! He’s such a friendly, happy boy. He is so endearing, always wagging his little nub of a tail! If you let him, he will gladly climb on your lap and give you kisses. River truly has the sweetest temperament. He walks well on a leash and is friendly to other dogs. He would benefit from some basic training but he’s more than happy to work for some treats. If you are looking for a sweet boy to add to your family, please consider River! River is neutered, microchipped and up to date on shots. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Spade is a gorgeous Boxer Pittie mix who needs a new home without other dogs. Spade is about 1.5 years old. He is a friendly, happy, wiggly-butt with people and plays with the other 3 dogs in his current home when outside. He meets some new dogs on a leash very well, but can be reactive to others. He is housebroken and good in the car, and loves his squeaky toys! Spade is a big lap dog and LOVES to sleep under a blanket. He is good with children, but because he can get excited when meeting would be best with bigger kids. He loves to play in water outside! Spade can be left alone without being crated with no issues. He has no experience with indoor cats. Spade is neutered and UTD on all vaccines. Spade does have some anxiety which is being managed with Prozac. He will make a fun and great companion to a family with no other pets. A fenced in yard would be appreciated. Spade is available for foster or adoption, or foster-to-adopt. * adoption fee: $450.00. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc Pet care is not cheap or easy, and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. Dominick urgently needs a foster home so that our rescue can pull him from the shelter to avoid euthanasia. He is a big-hearted, affectionate 1.5-2 year old Boxer/Bull dog mix who is struggling in the shelter simply because he loves people too much. He is losing weight due to the stressful over crowed shelter environment since he is being kenneled for a year now. Dominick is one of those dogs whose spirit quietly fades behind kennel walls. He is incredibly loving, people-oriented, and emotionally sensitive, and the shelter environment has been very hard on him. Dogs like Dominick—gentle, affectionate, and deeply bonded to humans—often suffer the most when they’re deprived of connection and routine. After many months of rehabilitation, this very good boy is now ready for his forever home! Our staff absolutely adores Draco.
