The loud, hectic world around him is his biggest hurdle right now. He craves love and wants to feel safe and connect with people but due to the chaotic shelter environment he is too scared to show his loving side. He has been at the shelter for months being overlooked and will completely shutdown if he is not taken out of that environment soon. Our rescue want to pull sweet Oreo into our care but can't do so until we find a committed foster. The Personality: Fearful and shy, Oreo is looking for someone to show him the world isn't so scary. The Challenge: He is currently fearful of other dogs and hasn't had the chance to learn leash skills yet. The Ideal Home: A quiet, dog-free environment (ideally with a fenced yard) where he can decompress at his own pace. Urgency: Oreo is at high risk of behavioral decline without immediate intervention.
