We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Teeka, a 1 year 7 month old spayed female, Boxer mix, 42lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Teeka is a young pup with boundless energy that will thrive in a home with a yard, daily exercise, training and patience. She’s a goofy, happy, loving girl and with just one look into those pretty doe eyes, your heart will melt! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. Jb has had a rough life. Whoever grabbed him up as a baby failed him. He ended up in BCHS for I do not know how long. Then My dear friend adopted him. Jb had his best years here wth her. He had love. He had consistency. My friend has since passed away and left her dog here wthout making arrangements. I am angry at her for this. She knew she was sick and dying, she was diagnosed in late Dec 2025 wth lung cancer it spread quickly. I came to help her but hve now been left wth a dog I can not take care of properly. I have my own dog that he has attacked 4 times. I worked wth him, and thought we had crossed the get along bridge. I did some research wondering how 2 ppl died of the same causes within 8 years of one another. Then asked how a dog would be affected in those same conditions. The home is 126 yrs old wth little to no remodeling. Lead, asbestos, & radon gases are present. I fear Jb is sick & this is where his fear aggression sprouted. He is a good dog for 2 legged creature only.
