Story
Peach is the mama of the year! Her story is one of resilience and mama bear smarts. Peach is a 3 year old spayed female boxer/staffie mix who weighs 45 lbs. Her rescue story began as a stray, roaming a peach tree orchard. Kind folks kept watch and when she showed up again looking very pregnant a plan was put into place to try to capture her and bring her to safety. It was winter, and frigid temperatures were forecasted. This street-smart mama eluded capture and ended up giving birth to her puppies in a crawl space under a church, choosing a far corner where heat billowed out of a vent. Temperatures were in the single digits, so the fact that Peach found such a warm spot undoubtedly saved her puppies' lives. Mama was trapped safely, and her puppies were rescued from the crawl space. The little family was transferred to a foster home and Peach had the opportunity to dote on her puppies without worrying about survival. They were warm, fed, comfortable, and loved. Peach was a wonderful mama and was so grateful for the kindness she was shown by her rescuers and foster family. Now that her puppies are old enough to find homes of their own, mama is ready too! Peach has been a dream companion and doesn't ask for much. She is an active girl who loves to play and run around outside. She'd love a big fenced in yard at her forever home and boy does she deserve anything she wants after surviving such hardships and keeping her little family alive. Peach is crate trained, seems house trained, and is overall pretty quiet and easy-going. Being with her people is her favorite thing, meeting new human friends with ease. If you are looking for an adventure buddy, Peach is your gal! As long as she is with you, she is happy! The devotion she shows for her people is unwavering. While she loves people, she's been selective when it comes to other dogs. Given her history and having to fend for herself, we don't blame her for being untrusting in this way. After everything she has endured, Peach deserves to be the center of her family's attention as the only pet. We understand there aren't many homes looking for a dog that prefers to be a solo companion, but that won't stop us from searching far and wide for someone who will devote themselves to Peach just as she will to them. Please help us find this remarkable dog the forever home she so desperately deserves!! Interested in adopting? Story
Empress (nicknamed "Emmie") is a 5.5 month old female boxer/staffie mix puppy who weighs around 35 lbs. Emmie and her littermates came into this world as strays, kept safe in the crawl space underneath a church by their mom, Peach. Peach chose a far corner of the space where heat billowed out of a vent, a move that undoubtedly saved her puppies' lives in frigid temperatures. Thanks to amazing humans, this little family was captured and transferred to a foster home and Peach had the opportunity to dote on her puppies without worrying about survival. They were warm, fed, comfortable, and loved. Peach was a wonderful mama and was so grateful for the kindness she was shown by her rescuers and foster family. These puppies haven't known anything except a loving home and caring people, and their personalities show it! All of Emmie's siblings have found their forever homes, leaving this blue-eyed beauty as the last one left. We can't understand why! Emmie is outgoing, playful, and always ready to learn something new. She is a spitfire and so easy to love! She loves to wrestle and romp with her canine friends and would do best with a playmate in her forever home. She is doing great with her crate and house training, is food motivated, and seems to enjoy learning. Emmie is not at all a couch potato, so her ideal family will be experienced and active and adventurous like her. She is curious, outgoing, and full of light! We just adore this gorgeous girl and can't wait to find her the forever home she's been searching for... could that be yours? Interested in adopting? He is a beautiful boy with a heart of gold! His owners were very loving pet parents, but didn't get their dogs spayed or neutered, which resulted in Tiffin and his siblings. Thankfully, these babies are the last, as mom and dad have been fixed. Tiffin has been very well socialized and loved, so he is more than ready to find a forever home of his own. He loves to play, but also loves affection. He is super smart and eager to please with an easy-going personality. While he loves to interact and play with other dogs or his people, he can also entertain himself with toys and bones. Given what we know about Mom and Dad, we think Tiffin will be the perfect in-between size when he grows up, so he'll fit into many different dynamics. Please help us find Tiffin the forever home he's been waiting for!All our pets are microchipped, spayed/neutered, and up to date on vaccinations and preventatives.Interested in adopting?
