Story
Meet Isla — Your Sunshine in Dog Form! Isla is a joyful, tail-wagging Boxer mix sweetheart who greets every day with her signature big smile. Whether she’s exploring the backyard or joining you on a peaceful nature walk, she radiates happiness and curiosity everywhere she goes. She’s the perfect blend of playful and gentle — a little timid at first, but always eager to bond. Isla adores people of all ages and enjoys being around other dogs. Like many Boxers, she has lots of energy and enthusiasm, and she was never really taught how to play appropriately with other dogs. She wants to play — and loves to — but can sometimes be a bit too bouncy or forward. With patient guidance and well-matched playmates, she’s learning better manners every day. She’s a great companion on walks and typically heels beautifully; if she gets excited and pulls, a simple reminder brings her right back. Her food motivation makes training fun and easy, and she already knows her basics. Isla is crate trained, fully house trained, two years old, and weighs about 55 pounds. At home, her sweet and calm temperament shines. She’s shown zero signs of food or toy aggression and loves sharing her space. And if you’re open to couch snuggles… she’ll happily curl up and claim her cozy throne like the queen she is. Isla is ready to bring joy, companionship, and a whole lot of love to her forever family. Could that be you? If you are interested in adopting Isla, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. ** December 3, 2025, 3:00 pm

Please contact my foster at: nmroman@gmail.comA spritely 6-7 year old pup. House broken and non destructive when left in a room outside of a crate.- we`ve left him alone for 9 hours with no issues. Is now walking very well on a leash, no intense pulling. Has been easy to train/work with. Loves his walks but can also as easily go out in the yard and chill. Dog friendly for sure. Can have some reaction on a leash but does well at run club with lots of people and dogs. Has been to social events and has also done great. Does not seem to thrive with apartment dwelling but I`ve seen improvements with his last staycation. We`ve made strides with his barking and anxious energy. He`s a lot calmer and less barky and fairly easy to get his attention and stop him when he starts. Still no cats but it is better when he sees them on walks vs out the window. No resource guarding or food protection shown!

Contact my foster at planetpup704@gmail.comVibez really is her name — this girl shows up like a walking disco ball with legs. She’s the official life of the party, always ready to shake her booty and boogey like she’s headlining her own puppy dance-off. She’s a total sweetheart, but oh boy does she come with a built-in turbo mode, so she’s dreaming of a family who can keep up with her zoomies. She lovessss playing with other dogs, does her business outside like a polite lady, and is still figuring out this whole “relaxing in a crate” thing — so apartment neighbors might not appreciate her concert series just yet. If you’re looking for an energetic adventure buddy who will match your family stride-for-stride, this girl is your gal. With a little training and some consistent love, she’ll turn into your lifelong best friend… and possibly your personal hype squad.

The shelter has not done diagnostics on what is behind this, but it certainly gives him an adorable lookTrent would thrive in a home that appreciates a dog who is past the puppy stage and ready for consistent, loving companionship.

Story
Meet Java  – Your Favorite Barista with a Side of Sass!  Don’t let the resting”Pit” face fool you—Java is all heart and full of love! This stunning pittie mama has raised a whole litter of deliciously adorable “cups of Joe” pups  (Joe, Jose, and Joey to name a few) who have all found their forever homes. Now it’s her turn to clock out of the mom shift and find a couch of her own. Java’s been brewing her signature charm at StarPups Coffee, where she’s the resident barista and queen of the counter. She is the perfect blend of warm and dignified energy. Her regulars are received with an enthusiastic tail wag, but if your order includes six pumps of anything…cue the judgmental eye roll! She’ll tolerate other pups like she tolerates weak coffee—with a sigh and a glance toward the door. She much prefers people, but isn’t bitter about dog company, just indifferent!  ‍ Personality Blend: Bold roast with a no-nonsense aroma Warms up quickly to her human Low drama, high standards  Perks of Adopting Java: House-trained Expert napper Silent judge of your coffee order Always dressed for work (look at that natural eyeliner and caramel coat!) Java would love to hang up her barista apron (because honestly, queens don’t work) and instead visit coffee shops with you so you can people watch and gossip.  Apply today for your forever coffee date! ##2448108##
