Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Deacon, he is a mixed breed dog with a great personality… uh, dog-anality. Deacon is a neutered male coming in at about 45 lbs of pure love. He's just a chill guy with a splash of zoomies! Deacon's resume is spectacular. He has the work experience, the passion, and the love. I mean, how can you turn down a boy this good? - House trained - Crate trained - Leash trained  - Has worked with multiple trainers - A true lover boy: The perfect partner and good with kids - A squeaky toy enthusiast: Deacon takes pride in his squeaky toys. No squeak too big, no squeak to small. Squeaky toys, he loves them all! The training he received comes with lifetime training touch-ups (adoption location dependent). Once he has settled in, the trainer will provide you with training sessions to help acclimate him to his new home. They also provide group training sessions most Saturdays at local parks. Pretty sweet deal, right?! Deacon was bounced around a bit so he’s learned to love and trust again. Due to that, he can be slow to warm up, but once you are his person, he desires nothing more than to be by your side as your furry companion. Deacon is just a boy navigating this real world, overcoming everyday challenges. - Deacon will thrive in an only dog household - Loves cats: He enjoys a little Tom & Jerry like playtime - A fenced yard will allow Deacon to truly unleash his Olympic gold medal jumps - Needs someone who is patient, allowing him slow introductions with new people, places, and things If you think Deacon would make a good addition to your family, fill out an application at lastdaydogs.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 25, 2026, 9:01 pm

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Bowser is just a cute little guy! He is smaller than he looks; 40 pounds, but it's mostly muscle! He's like a compact car--he'll fit anywhere and he gets great gas mileage! He is a 1 year old, neutered, bully/boxer mix. He loves to self-entertain with a chew (benebone, squeaky toy, bully stick, he likes it all). He is great in a crate, on a leash, and in the car with a seat belt, plus he's perfectly potty trained. He's a big lover boy and will happily spend his time cuddling in your lap. We are working on his socialization, and hope to introduce him to other dogs in the future, but we imagine he will always need slow introductions.   If you are interested in Bowser, please complete an adoption application at lastdaydogs.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 25, 2026, 9:01 pm

Story
Boys just want to play, play, play. I am a 3 month old male boxer mix. I was a stray and ended up at the shelter. I am a big love bug and want to be with my human. I am loving playing with other dogs but they often do not like to me in their space. When that happens I go about my business. I want to please the humans and will be a quick learner when it comes to manners. I am going to need a fenced in yard to play around in. I would like to have a canine friend but if my human is active and wants to play I will be okay. Because I am young, I will need to work on training including housebreaking. I am doing well in a crate when I need to be but again I want to be next to my human. I am learning to play with toys and liking the toys. I am hoping I will find someone that will love me and play with me. I will need a lot os pets and treats. If this is your home fill out an application and someone will be in touch with you. If interested in giving Odie a forever home, please complete an application at www.safeanimalhaven.com.November 5, 2024, 12:12 am

Breed: Boxer / American Bulldg Size: Large; currently 90+ lbs Estimated Birthday: 3/2/2020 House-Trained: Yes Crate-Trained: Yes, and kennels on command! Kids: no children for Bella Vida, but teenagers, may work! Dogs & cats: Bella Vida is looking to be the only pet in your home. --=========================== Bella Vida is a big personality wrapped in a beautiful white coat. She’s confident, sassy, and needs an assertive human who can match her alpha energy with calm leadership. She’s not exactly the Einstein of the dog world—and she’s definitely a little clumsy—but her goofy charm and lovable nature win everyone over. Bella’s the kind of girl who will make you laugh daily, whether it’s with her thunderous post-workout snoring or her signature backseat move: belly up, paws in the air, cruising in style. This quirky boxer has some strong opinions—especially when it comes to her ball of the day. With a collection of 15+ to choose from, she carefully selects the one and will turn up her nose at any other imposter. Don’t worry—she’ll dig through her toy basket until she finds the chosen one. Bella Vida is also a people-watching pro, spending hours at the window like a little watchdog queen. She’s got love to give, a personality that fills the room, and a funny streak that never quits. She’s not for the faint of heart—but if you’re ready to be her partner in crime, she’ll be your fiercely loyal, endlessly entertaining best friend. Before emailing- please read: - Yes, this dog is available for adoption - The adoption fee for Bella Vida is $365 - Apply at c2cnd.org - The adoption fee covers their age appropriate shots, microchip, deworming, spay/neuter, and any other medical expenses while in our care. - Local adopters only. Story
Ruthie is a 2-year-old, 60-lb Boxer mix with a gentle soul and a brilliant mind. Before coming into rescue, Ruthie lived on her own for at least 6 months, skillfully evading capture, multiple trapping attempts, and surviving in an industrial area of town. Fed by kind mechanics and workers, she learned how to stay safe, avoid danger, and always show up for food — and that intelligence still shines through today. After a dramatic capture, Ruthie has been in a foster home, where she’s proven to be a very polite houseguest. She is fully house-trained and, even at her scariest moments, has never shown a hint of aggression — no growling, no raised lips, just fear. Ruthie is shy and deeply cautious with people, but she is sweet, gentle, and incredibly observant. We would not be surprised if Ruthie spent some of her life in someone’s home.  This brainy girl reads the room like a pro. She knows when a human might approach and will quietly skedaddle to keep herself feeling safe. While she’s still very nervous about leashes and handling, she allows most people to gently scratch her muzzle, and she’s learning — slowly but surely — that human touch isn’t such a bad thing. Watching her progress has been incredibly rewarding, especially as she’s started to enjoy ear scratches and soft affection from her foster mom. Ruthie is a great pack dog. She does beautifully with dogs of all sizes and temperaments and enjoys playful wrestling with dogs her size, but doesn’t demand play.  She happily coexists with the resident Chihuahua in her foster home. Ruthie is calm and content indoors and also enjoys a daily visit to the dog park. She’s a quiet presence who’s perfectly happy lounging on a chair, listening to her foster mom’s Zoom calls, and soaking in the safety of home life. At home, Ruthie is her foster mom’s quiet shadow. She sleeps in her room, wiggles with excitement when she comes home, follows her around the dog park — and yet may still hop off her bed and slip away if that same foster mom walks toward her for a pet. With Ruthie, trust is built in tiny, meaningful moments, and every day brings progress. Because of her history, Ruthie is a high flight-risk dog, especially in the early days. She will need a very committed adopter with a securely fenced yard, experience with fearful or flight-risk dogs, and a willingness to use safety tools like GPS collars, double leashes, and secure handling. Strength matters too — this is a 60-lb girl who needs someone confident and prepared. Ruthie has been around children at the dog park and treats them like little adults — with polite, reserved hesitation. She is food-motivated, sweet, and incredibly smart. With patience, structure, and time, she has all the makings of a truly special companion. Ruthie is one of those dogs who, with the right adopter and a few committed months of trust-building, will become a dream dog. Watching her finally relax, feel safe, and just be a dog has been an absolute privilege — and we can’t wait to see her find the forever home she deserves. ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.August 29, 2026, 12:15 pm

Story
I adopted Sasha after finding her at a car service center when I went for a car inspection in November 2025. They were going to have animal control pick her up, so I took her. She is approximately 2 years old according to dental. She has been spayed, up-to-date on all of her shots and on a Banfield Pet Plan. She has been a great companion and is very loving. I have a small home, and I am gone 12 hours a day, so she isn't getting the attention she so deserves. She has a lot of energy and very self-entertained when I am home with throwing her toys to herself. She is allergic to chicken. Ideally, I'd like her adopter to have space for her to run and time to spend with her. She doesn't do well with dogs the same size or larger than her. She seems to love little dogs though. I've never had her around cats. She does well on short walks but gets easily distracted and enjoys the time out. Make sure to have plenty of durable toys. She doesn't chew anything else, but she will destroy toys.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet “Madi,” a beautiful dog who is looking for a family to call her own! After suffering a terrible injury last year, Madi bravely underwent a leg amputation. She has adapted beautifully as a tripod and doesn’t let it slow her down!  She enjoys going for walks and loves going for rides in the car. She likes toys and will happily entertain herself with them before curling up on a comfy bed or a cozy lap for a nap. While she has so much love to give, she will need a patient and understanding family who can help her continue building confidence. New environments and unfamiliar situations can make her nervous, and she is sometimes reactive when seeing people through a barrier like a window or gate. She would be happiest in a calm home without young children. Because she is uneasy around other animals, she would do best as the only dog in the home, where she can feel safe and secure without added stress. Madi is not a fan of cats and should be in a cat-free home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dino is the definition of a gentle, mellow cuddle buddy. He’s happiest curled up next to his people, soaking in affection (honestly, he’ll pick pets and snuggles over toys or treats every single time). He’s calm in the house, does great in his crate, rarely barks, and loves lounging in sunny spots in your home. He’ll happily play with any toy you offer, but being close to his humans is his favorite thing in the world.   He’s incredibly polite, well-mannered, and just wants to love and be loved. Dino is dog selective and can be reactive around other dogs, so he’ll do best as the only pet in the home with someone committed to continuing his training to set him up for success. Due to this, we think he would do best with a fenced yard.  In the right environment, he absolutely thrives.    if you are interested in Dino, please complete an adoption application at lastdaydogs.comVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 9, 2026, 2:36 pm
