Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi I'm Sweet Pickle and I will be your greeting committee, hype train, biggest cheerleader, and personal fan club all rolled into one wagging tail. You will never have to doubt how amazing you are after being greeted with a kissing booth every time you walk in the door. I am about to celebrate my first birthday this July and I am currently 67lbs. I should be full grown, but may fill out another 5lbs or so as I mature. I am fully potty trained and love having a doggy door! I am not kennel trained, but I do well when left out of my kennel - promise I will be a good girl while you are gone. I like going on walks, being a passenger princess in the front seat of your ride, chillin' on the couch watching Netflix, and cuddling. I am a low maintenance girl and am happy whenever I am with you. As far as additional training goes, I can sit and shake like the finest of ladies, but still need a little time in etiquette school. I absolutely adore kids of all ages and think I could grow up to be a teacher or run a daycare. I like playing with big dogs. The bigger the better! I am even quite fond of the cats I live with, even though they are not so sure of me. I think they took the phrase "curiosity killed the cat" too seriously and have swatted me a couple times. That's okay, I love them anyway. I do not like little dogs who want to boss me around and need to live in a home without little dogs. Could you be my soulmate? Are you ready to find love? Bruno is kenneled trained inside and outside. He loves playing outside but he will try to dig under the fence if there is another dog on the other side of the fence and if he’s not supervised. Story
Hi, I'm Lilly-a 7-year-old boxer with a heart full of love and a gentle soul to match. I may have a few years under my collar, but that just means I come with great manners and a calm, affectionate nature. I'm always happy to spend time with my people, whether it's going for a stroll, lounging by your side, or showing off how well I can sit (seriously, I've got that one down pat!). I'm super in tune with people-I understand gestures, follow a pointed finger, and love connecting with those around me. If you're looking for a loyal, sweet, and steady companion, I'd love to be your girl. Let's grow old together, one tail wag at a time.*Qualifies for Pets for Patriots program*Qualifies for Senior to Senior programPlease email Adoptions@saltlakecounty.gov with questions Primary Color: White Secondary Color: Brown Weight: 43 Age: 7yrs 1mths 0wks

Story
Meet Potatoe!Potatoe is a 5-month-old Boxer/Herding mix with a huge heart and an even bigger personality. He’s looking for his forever home where he can share his endless love and energy!Potatoe came into rescue as a medical case. At just 6 weeks old, he was attacked by another dog, resulting in a skull fracture in three places. Thanks to excellent veterinary care and a loving foster home, Potatoe has healed beautifully. While we can’t be certain how his early injuries might affect him long-term, he’s currently thriving with no noticeable issues.Affectionately nicknamed “the rabbit” by his foster family, Potatoe is known for his joyful hops and mid-air leaps when he’s excited. He loves playing with toys, chewing on bones, and romping around with the other dogs in his foster home. He’s also incredibly sweet, gentle, and already house and crate trained! As a young pup, Potatoe is still learning. He’s making great progress with leash walking and basic commands, and he’ll need a family committed to continuing his training and helping him grow into a confident adult dog.Potatoe is truly a special pup who will bring joy, love, and laughter to the lucky family that adopts him.Dogs are not placed on a first-come first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal, applications may take up to 48 hours to complete. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Potatoe's adoption fee is $300. If you are interested in adopting Potatoe, or another CAWS animal, please fill out an application here: http://caws.org/adoption-application. Story
Meet Winnie!Winnie is a 2-year-old shepherd mix with a heart of gold and a truly inspiring journey. She came to us as a feral dog from the reservation, and since then, she has made incredible strides in learning how to trust and love.Winnie adores people—she lights up when meeting new friends and soaks up attention and affection. She’s fully house and crate trained, and is calm, quiet, and completely trustworthy when left uncrated at home. While she’s come so far, Winnie is still learning some basics like leash walking, car rides, and simple commands. She’ll thrive with a patient family who can continue to guide her gently and consistently as she builds confidence. Her favorite things? Playing with her dog pals in the yard and soaking up all the scratches she can get from anyone willing to give them!Winnie is an incredibly sweet and loving soul who will make a wonderful, loyal companion to the right family.Dogs are not placed on a first-come first-serve basis. Story
Dori thinks she must be on Santa's naughty list, since no one has wanted to adopt her this whole year! She is the sweetest, silliest girl who will tell you all about it when you get home by woo-wooing at you! Dori loves to go for walks and snuggle on the couch with you. She is a boxer mix, spayed, utd on shots and chipped. Dori is probably almost 3yo now and is VERY ready for her furever home. Dori loves to run around the backyard and be chased by another dog her size or bigger. She should NOT live in a home with small prey-type animals, including cats. Dori has had 2 litters of pups and was a great mama. She can be reactive to other dogs while on leash, but I feel like it's due to excitement. However, obviously any introduction should be slow and on neutral territory. Dori is such a wonderful dog who deserves to have her first (of many), best Christmas of her life.
