Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi! My name is Ireland Skye, aren’t I a beauty? I’m a 4.5 year old, 55lb pitbull mix, and my foster mom says I am such a special girl! She says if she didn’t already have 4 dogs, she’d keep me forever. I am a very fun girl. I love to run and play, with both my human and dog friends! I’m told I sometimes play too rough, but it’s just because I have such a zest for life! And probably because I haven’t gotten much of an opportunity to play until now! So, I’m still learning what’s appropriate. But I’m a very good girl! If you need to correct me, I will listen. I love toys and balls. I love playing in the water. I love taking walks and going on car rides. I loooove snuggles. Foster mom says I “have no regard for personal space” haha, but she says that’s okay, because I’m a great snuggle. She says older kids would be best though, because I’ll probably knock the little ones over. Sometimes something silly scares me – like a broom. So a family who would take me to training to help me with my confidence would be cool. I’m already house trained and crate trained, though, so we have a head start! Here's something super special about me - my adoption fee is SPONSORED! Mountain West Veterinary Specialists have generously offered to help me find my forever home by paying my fee!  All our regular adoption criteria apply, of course, so you have to have an approved application. You will also need to agree to take me to training classes. If you think I could be the girl for you, apply to meet me today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 4:51 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. A recent conversation with Luna Lovebug, our 2.5 year old pit bull mix. Luna: Mama what is a foster dog? Me: It means you stay with us and we take care of you until we find your forever family. Luna: A forever family sounds great. How do I find one? Me: Well, I tell people what a great pup you are and they apply to meet you. Luna: What makes me a great pup? Me: You really love to snuggle and you are quiet in your kennel and you almost always potty outside. Luna: I do love snuggles and my kennel is a nice safe place. Luna: How can I be an even better dog? Me: You could work on being calm when the kids walk in and not being grouchy with other dogs. Luna: I’m only grouchy every once in a while Me: You’re right and you love almost all dogs but you and Ace are sometimes not friends. Luna: Okay I will try to be friendly all the time. Me: Good, anything else I should tell a family looking for a good dog? Luna: Yes, tell them I love to play and I am pretty sure I am a lap dog and don’t forget that I am adorable. Me: Okay I will. You heard it here. Luna Lovebug is a great dog looking for her forever family. This sweet girl is a 2.5-year-old pit mix. She is full grown at about 40lbs, so is an adorable litle pocket pittie! Luna has a lot of energy and loves to use that energy playing with dogs of all sizes. She would love a doggy friend in her forever home! She also loves people of all ages and just wants to snuggle. Sometimes she forgets she needs to be calm to cuddle, but she is learning how to chill. Luna is kennel trained and mostly housetrained; she has the occasional accident. She does not do well with cats; she thinks they are fun squeaky toys. This sweet girl does really well on a leash and loves car rides. Luna is looking to join an active family where she can get all the attention and love she deserves. If you think Luna could be the Lovebug you’re looking for, apply to meet her today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 4:51 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This is Duncan Doggie, He is a 5 year old 67 pound Pit Bull (possibly a mix, there is no way to really know for sure in rescue) that has a lot of love to give but will need some special care in his furever home. Duncan has a lot of love to give and is overall a very happy and healthy boy but it took a lot of time, love and some medical care to get him there.  Duncan Doggie was found dumped on the grounds of Avenal State Prison in California June of last year and no one really knows how he got there. He was covered in wounds that were either from other dogs or coyotes, missing a majority of his fur, skin rubbed raw, and a lot of his teeth were broken. A volunteer at the Avenal shelter posted a TikTok in hopes that a rescue would pull him and give him the medical attention he needed and the love he deserved, that is where I found him. I instantly fell in love with him and drove the 1800 mile round trip to pick him up and bring him back to Northern Utah.    He is the biggest love bug and will gladly accept scratches and cuddles from any humans big or small! He loves to run around in the yard, play tug of war, play fetch, and if you are lucky he will even bring the ball back to you! True to his breed he also loves being lazy, he has his favorite purple minky that he stole from me and will go with him to his forever home for him to cuddle to his heart's content. He currently lives with children aged 3-14 and he is wonderful with all of them, sometimes he will get the wiggle butts and his tail could make him considered armed and dangerous, other than that though he is a complete sweetheart. Unfortunately due to his past he is fear reactive to any adult dogs and an addendum will be included in his adoption contract. He has loved every single puppy I've fostered in the last 8 months like it was his own but any adult dogs at home or in public terrify him and make him get full body shakes and then turn to aggression if he can't be removed from the other dog immediately.    Since having Duncan here he has made huge strides in his health and he has been the happiest, most loving foster from the second I picked him up. We discovered that his fur was missing and skin was raw due to food allergies, he needs to be on a grain and poultry free diet to prevent that from happening again in the future, he is currently eating a salmon based food and thriving on it. In addition to his allergies he was in need of a complete dental and is down 14 teeth but that doesn't stop him from eating dry food and enjoying treats like any other dog. He is resilient and has not let a single negative thing slow him down, he is truly a special dog.   If you are interested in giving this handsome man a safe and happy home where he can be an only dog you can apply to meet him at  https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 4:51 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi! I’m Trochee! I’m a 60lb, 2 year old boy,   bundle of SO many mixes ( Siberian Husky, Samoyed, American Staffordshire terrier…)   I’m potty trained and walk super well on a leash. I LOVE going on walks, meal times, treats but can I be honest? I’m happiest  when I’m getting snuggled- feeling loved and safe is the absolute best. My foster mom says I’m good-natured, silly and people-loving.   I used to live in a shelter, and that was pretty lonely. Right now I live with my foster mom and TWO puppies! Playing with them is so fun, and I try to be very careful so I don’t hurt them, since they’re so small. I’ve also lived with dogs my size (male and female) and have played so well with them- I don’t think I should live with cats because they’re so fast and silly and I just want to chase them.   My crate is SO fun- it’s especially fun to run away and hide when it’s time to get in… I’m working on it. IF you can find me and put me in my crate, I stay in there quietly and sleep through the night. I’m also working on not jumping like a maniac when I’m excited to see you… but I’m EXCITED to see you!!   Real talk? I’ve never had a forever family before. I’ve been growing up in shelters and foster homes, and it’s kind of scary to get my hopes up… but here I am, hoping to have my very own home some day.  If you think I’m the goofball for you, apply to meet me at: https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 25, 2024, 5:48 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Oh hey, I’m Rider! I may be a small pit mix at just 20 lbs, but don’t let my size fool you – I’m packed with personality and serious charm. I mean, look at me – I’m the cutest, and I know it. Not to brag, but I’m also a bit of a ladies’ man. Wherever I go, I’m all about showing off my moves – whether it’s some high-flying zoomies, porch-jumping stunts, or just being my charming self. Oh, and did I mention I know tricks for treats? I’m a quick learner and love to show off for a tasty snack! When I’m not dazzling you with my skills, I’m all about the cuddles. Mind if I use your lap as a pillow?  I LOVE playing with other dogs and, while I might take a moment to sniff out new humans, once you give me some love, we’re besties for life. I live with two other foster pups, and we have a blast running around together and going on pack walks. Let’s just say, Ready to be your new best friend – stunts, snuggles, and all? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi Friends! I’m Grimm I’m an adorable 54lb male Pitt mix. I’m estimated to be 3 years old, though exact age can be a bit of a mystery in rescue. I'm an absolute love bug who adores people and belly rubs. I get so excited I even snort. My foster mom thinks it's adorable and calls me “Little Piggy.” I'm potty trained and doing well with crate training, though I might whine a bit at first because I'd rather be with my people, I eventually settle to take a nap with my blanket. I'm great on a leash and enjoy walks, but I'm a lower energy boy and don't require a lot of exercise. I love toys, especially balls. My favorite thing to do is lounge on my people’s lap with a ball in tow. I am dog friendly and would prefer to be with a low energy submissive dog, but I would do just fine as an only dog. Cats are not my thing so I shouldn’t be in a home with them.    If you're looking for a loyal and cuddly companion, I've got plenty of love to give!  Apply to meet me today at  https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 4:51 pm
