Story

Tito is a 5 year old pure bred boxer. He has champion blood line but was the runt of his liter so he’s on the smaller side for a boxer. He’s got plenty of energy and loves to play with all sorts of balls. He does amazing with kids and is house trained. He pulls when he’s on a leash but nothing crazy. When he initially meets other dogs he can seem aggressive but once they’ve been introduced he does great. He is up to date on all his shots but he is not neutered. We tried getting him neutered a few months ago but the vet said his liver levels were slightly high so they didn’t feel comfortable doing it at this point. He also has some skin allergies. I haven’t been able to figure out what he’s allergic to but allergy shots do help. We just had a baby that has some health stuff so we’ve been in the hospital nonstop. Poor buddy isn’t getting the love he needs. Looking for a loving home that will give him attention, has a yard, and will give this dude the attentions he deserves.

Bear was found in an empty apartment that had been evicted he was hungry severally underweight and just sad. He’s the sweetest dog but does not get along with cats like at all. I happen to have two sphinx cats that I have to protect first or we would keep him honestly he’s great around kids great on walks. Keep meal time separate from other animals and I wouldn’t leave any food laying around as he will get it he’s tall enough to reach counters. He needs someone who patient and can continue to train him. He’s been seen by a vet and dog trainer

Staff and volunteers are still getting to know him, but one thing has become very clear: Waldo loves being with his people.Waldo is happiest when he can follow his favorite humans around and be part of whatever they are doing. Whether you`re hanging out around the house, working from home, or heading out for an adventure, Waldo would be thrilled to have a place by your side.During his time in our care, we`ve learned that Waldo experiences separation anxiety and can have a difficult time when left alone. He`s looking for a dog experienced family who either has experience supporting a dog with separation anxiety or is willing to learn and work with him. A home where someone is around more often, especially while he settles in and builds confidence, would be a wonderful fit. His new family should be prepared to work gradually on helping Waldo learn that being alone is safe and that his people always come back.Based on his behavior in our care, we think Waldo could do well in a home with older children. He has also participated in playgroup at the shelter, and we believe he may benefit from having a canine companion. His best match would likely be a laid-back, social female dog around his size who is comfortable sharing her space.Waldo`s history with cats is unknown. However, we have not observed behavior in the shelter that would immediately rule out the possibility of living with a feline friend. Any introductions to cats should be slow, careful, and appropriately managed.Waldo isn`t looking for perfection, he`s looking for someone willing to give him the time, patience, and support he needs to feel secure.
