Story
Hi everyone! My name is Tucker and I’m a brindle beauty. I’m looking for my furever family, so if you’re looking for an active family dog, keep reading! I’m almost a year old and my energy level shows it! Do you like to go hikes and swim in lakes?? Or even daily walks and an intense game of fetch—I’m your boy! As long as there’s toys, I’m happy. If there’s water—I’m even happier! Take a look at my DNA results too, no wonder I’m so cute! I’m good with other dogs, they’re fun to play with…I haven’t met any cats, but that can be arranged. Kids are great too—just remember I’m #60 of energy and I might accidentally knock the littles ones down. Otherwise I’m ready to go to my new home, I’m neutered, fully vaccinated, potty trained and kennel trained. All I’m waiting for is a family and a couch to cuddle up on!! Apply for me today!! Adoption fee:$250 https://www.cognitoforms.com/TinyPawsSmallDogRescue1/AdoptionApplication

Story
Hey… I’m Spud! My brothers and I started life together — left at a vet clinic when we were only a few hours old. We were tiny, confused, and needed help fast. Thankfully, we found people who showed us love right away. I’m a Boxer mix, and while I’m small, I’ve got a big, steady heart. I’m doing great now — eating well, growing stronger every day, and learning how this whole “puppy life” thing works.I’m pretty proud that I already use my potty pads, and when I’m not doing that, you’ll probably find me hanging out with a soft toy or watching what everyone else is doing. I like my world calm and kind: I enjoy other dogs, Cats are okay with me, and Gentle kids are my favorite. I’ve been loved since the very beginning, and it shows. I’m sweet, thoughtful, and ready for a family who will keep showing me what love looks like. If you’re looking for a puppy who’s easy to love and hard to forget… I’m right here.   All of our animals reside in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their perfect match. If you are interested in meeting this animal, please complete an adoption application on our website: https://www.BestPawsRescue.com   Spay/Neuter PolicyAny animal that has not been spayed or neutered at the time of adoption will require a signed Spay/Neuter Agreement and a refundable $100 deposit (payable by check or electronic payment). The procedure must be completed within six (6) months of the adoption date. Once Best Paws Rescue receives acceptable proof of the spay/neuter procedure, the deposit will be refunded to the adopter.Failure to comply with the terms of the Spay/Neuter Agreement within the required six (6) months will result in forfeiture of the deposit. If the procedure is performed by one of Best Paws Rescue’s approved veterinary partners, the full cost of the spay/neuter is covered by the adoption fee. Ages and breeds are our best estimates, and we cannot make any guarantees. Most of our animals come from overcrowded shelters with limited resources. We do our best to evaluate each animal’s behavior and medical needs and place them into loving foster homes until they are ready to go home with you. Our organization is operated entirely by dedicated volunteers who give their time and love out of the goodness of their hearts. ##2617396##

Story
Hi… I’m Baby Red! I came into this world in a way I didn’t expect — my three brothers and I were left at a vet clinic when we were only a few hours old. We were tiny, scared, and didn’t know what would happen next. But kind humans stepped in… and now I’m safe. I may be the smallest of the bunch, but I’m strong and growing every day. I’m eating really well, I already know how to use my potty pads, and I’ve discovered that soft toys are the BEST thing ever. I’m a Boxer mix, and I have a gentle, curious heart. I like: other dogs, cats, and kind, gentle kids I’ve been loved since my very first days, so I’m learning that the world can be a good place. All I’m missing now is my forever person — someone who will keep me safe, teach me new things, and love me for the rest of my life. If you think that might be you… I’m ready.    All of our animals reside in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their perfect match. Story
Hello… I’m Yukon! I came into this world beside my brothers, and not long after, we were left at a vet clinic when we were only a few hours old. We were so small we fit in the palm of a hand, and we didn’t know what would come next. I’m a Boxer mix, and I’ve been held, fed, and loved from my very first days. Because of that, I’m learning that the world is a safe place — one gentle moment at a time. I’m doing really well now. I’m eating great, growing stronger, and I already know how to use my potty pads. I love soft toys, quiet snuggles, and being close to people. I have a calm, thoughtful way about me. I enjoy: the company of other dogs, cats, and kind, gentle children I didn’t get much control over how my life started… but I get to hope for how it continues. If you’re looking for a puppy who will grow up knowing how precious love is — I would be honored to be yours.   All of our animals reside in loving foster homes until they are adopted into their perfect match. Story
Fiona is just over a year old and is a boxer mix. She was adopted in September 2025 from Milwaukee Area Animal Domestic Control. Fiona has a partial rectal prolapse: it resolves on its own and does not require emergency care, but does require close supervision and a strict diet. Prolapse only occurs if diet isn’t followed or eats something she shouldn’t. She does best with boiled chicken, white rice, and carrots or green beans, fed three times daily with added water or homemade chicken broth, daily supplements and occasionally pureed pumpkin. She cannot eat other foods or certain bones. Any home with other animals must keep all pet food secured and use a covered litter box for cats. Fiona will do best with children over 10. Fiona will come with supplies, and more detailed information about her care and routine will be provided to serious adoption candidates. We are looking for a home that understands her needs and is willing to continue her current care regime & love her like we do.

Story
Hello! My name`s Putter from the golf litter! I was adopted as a puppy and returned to the shelter at 6 years old in May 2023 when my humans had a baby. I`m looking for a nice cozy home to retire in! I am an American Bulldog/Retriever mix weighing around 62lbs. I am a sweet, smart dog who is considered medium/low energy. My favorite things include cuddling, car rides, walks, and playtime! Everyone tells me that I`m the goofiest dog in the rescue and everyone adores my play growl, play hops, and play bows! I`m also told that I walk fantastic on a leash and have wonderful manners where I don`t pull. I know to do my business outside and will even sit by the door to alert my owners that I need to go. I don`t mind the crate and I can be trusted outside of the crate as well. I don`t chew up stuff I`m not supposed to either! I also know basic commands such as sit, paw, other paw, lay down, and roll over!I’ve been working on my socializing skills & can do good around kids in public, but I’d prefer my forever home with older or no kids since their rambunctious energy can still make me nervous. I also wasn`t properly socialized with other dogs growing up so I need to go to a home where I`m the only pet. No cats for me.You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about me on our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/JrsPupsNStuffInc Ask to meet me today!!Adoption fee: $300All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. Story
Meet Koko — A Smart, Loyal Girl Looking for the Right HomeKoko is a sweet, affectionate, and incredibly loyal dog who’s looking for a very special home — one that understands her needs and is committed to helping her feel safe and confident. She’s 7 years old, medium-sized, and absolutely adores her people. Koko loves cuddles, tummy rubs, and curling up close at night (she sleeps soundly through the night!). She’s also very food-motivated and loves her stuffed toys — her favorite pastime is “roughing up” her plushies with great enthusiasm!Koko is fully potty trained and knows how to sit. She’s also a very smart girl who learns quickly when given structure and consistency. However, Koko struggles with reactivity and anxiety, especially around other dogs. On walks, she becomes highly reactive — lunging, barking, and spinning when she sees another dog. She also reacts to movement outside (people, dogs, trucks) and even to animals she sees on TV. These behaviors stem from fear and over-stimulation, not aggression, and she’ll need a patient, experienced adopter willing to work with a positive-based trainer to help her continue learning.Koko also gets anxious when her people leave. She’s making progress with crate training but still needs reassurance and consistency to feel comfortable when alone.Because of her reactivity, Koko should be the only pet in the home, and a calm, adult-only household would be best for her at this time. A securely fenced yard would be ideal so she can enjoy outside time safely without unexpected encounters with other dogs. With the right person — someone who understands her triggers, respects her boundaries, and can provide patient training and structure — Koko has so much love to give. Adoption fee: $400 All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days.
