Story
Butter is an adorable sweetie of a kitten who was born outside and lived on the Philly streets until she was 4 months old. Now 6 months old, she's adjusting well to the cozy comforts of indoor living and beginning to trust and enjoy being around human company. She has the most gentle nature and never gets aggressive, though she can be a bit timid. Butter will need someone who can give her the time, patience, and consistency she needs to feel safe and continue blossoming into the awesome pet kitty she is becoming.   Butter is a champ at using her litter box, loves her churu, and has some of the funniest fully-sprawled sleep positions her foster has ever seen. She LOVES to play with toys, especially enjoying chasing balls and small catnip toys, and she'll go after wand toys until her foster's arm gets tired out! She’s super fun to play with and makes the cutest little trilling meows when she gets excited. She has also started to realize the greatness of head and butt skritches (on her terms, of course) and purrs loudly to share how good they feel!   Butter needs a human who will help her feel safe in her new home so she can continue on her path of learning to trust, love, and be loved. Play & patience, treats & time are truly the keys to this little cutie's heart. Will your heart melt for this li'l pat o' Butter?   Other cats: Butter has had very limited exposure to other cats and did not show much interest when meeting them in the past, but her foster believes this may have been due to overwhelm. It’s possible that Butter could do well with a very gradual introduction to a calm adult cat, but we just don’t know. This is something that can be discussed further if you have questions.   Children: Butter hasn’t been around kids, and her foster thinks that young, rambunctious kids would be overwhelming and frightening to her. However, tweens and teens who understand the need to be gentle and calm with her could be a good fit, especially if they want a kitty who likes to play!     How I came to Kittensnatchers: trapped at an established cat colony **If you are applying for a cat that needs a cat friend and you do not have another cat in the home or plan to adopt 2 cats, you application will not be processed** If you're interested in adopting this furrbaby, please fill out an application at https://forms.gle/2vMCSwUWQKVepqir5 All our animals are fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and microchipped prior to adoption. Story
Kitty is a beautiful 9-year-old tortoiseshell calico who’s mastered the art of relaxation. Her favorite hobbies include sleeping in sunny spots, enjoying her meals, and curling up on the couch under a soft blanket. She’s a calm, affectionate lady who loves gentle company and plenty of quiet time. Kitty would do best in a peaceful home with a human who appreciates her mellow personality—someone who’s happy to offer endless pets, special treats, and cozy evenings together. She currently shares her space with a younger cat roommate who’s full of playful energy and loves to cuddle, but that kind of enthusiasm isn’t really Kitty’s style. She’d much rather be your calm companion, content to sit close by and enjoy your company in serene silence. Kitty recently had a full checkup and received a clean bill of health from her veterinarian. She’s up to date on all her vaccines as of November 10, 2025 and ready to find her forever home filled with warmth, love, and lots of comfy blankets.

Story
Charlie Girl is sweet and playful, she enjoys being brushed, watching TV and looking out the window seeing the birds. Her adopted mom became ill and her family took her cats to a county shelter. Because Charlie was micro-chipped, the shelter notified us that she was surrendered. We made arrangements to pick her up with the other cat we adopted to her named Grayce. Charlie is in a foster home and doing well until she finds a home. Updated 6/5/21

Story
Frankie was found as a stray and taken in when she got pregnant. She is so sweet that I suspect she was abandoned. She is estimated to be about 2-3 years old. She just recently became an empty nester and would be happy to find a home where she can be the main focal point instead of her kittens. She went from being a stray to a mom and I don't think she's really gotten a chance to just be young and playful herself. She will bring so much love to whatever family is lucky to have her.

Story
Butter here. Little secret, if I was a human I would be called a "cougar." Seems I really like having youngish feline eye candy around. They make me giggle in my own cat way. I currently share my space with one or two adorable young adult boys. They show me respect. I allow them to amuse me. And foster mom has commented that in general, I seem happier than I was before they arrived. I have been hanging out with my foster mom for a few months. It took her a while to figure out the secret life of this cat (see the previous comment about being a "cougar"). Also, she has learned that when I approach, she needs to put her hand out for me to decide if I want to be pet or not. Spoiler: I usually do, but I would like you to start with my shoulders. Still figuring out laps and being held, but if you would like a sophisticated cat to help you manage a couple of young boy cats, you just need some Butter! Butter is about 11 years old, spayed, FeLV and FIV negative, current on shots, treated for fleas and worms, microchipped, and is litter box trained. Adoption fee: $75 (plus tax) (Adopt 2 cats and save $25 off the total adoption fee!)

Tindra 's Story Meet Tindra 💙 A one-year-old Russian Blue look-alike currently thriving in a loving foster home, where she’s learning to trust and feel safe. Tindra prefers to take things slow with new people, but once she opens her heart, she’s an incredibly loyal and affectionate companion. Tindra would prefer to be the only pet, and small children may be a little too much for her. She’s ready for adoption now and hoping to find her forever home. Midnight and Shy 's Story Meet Midnight & Shy 🖤🤍 Midnight and Shy are an adorable, bonded pair of 9-month-old brothers who are looking for a forever home together. They were surrendered through no fault of their own when their previous owner could no longer care for them. Midnight is easy to spot with his sleek, shiny black coat and even easier to love—he’s over-the-top friendly, affectionate, and always ready to be part of whatever you’re doing. Shy, his handsome brother, sports a soft white coat with brown tabby markings. True to his name, Shy is a bit more reserved at first, but once he feels safe, his sweet and gentle personality shines through. These boys balance each other perfectly and are just as cute as can be. They get along wonderfully with other cats and would thrive in a home where they can continue to grow, play, and cuddle together. If you’re looking to double the love, Midnight and Shy are ready to steal your heart and make your house their forever home. 🐾💕 Please apply for them at https://www.gloucestercountynj.gov/FormCenter/Animal-Shelter-5/PreAdoption-Application-50

Story
Hecate's Story Meet Hecate 🖤✨ At just five months old, Hecate is a stunning dilute torbie with a soft, watercolor coat and the most thoughtful, observant eyes. Named after the mystical Greek goddess of magic, she carries a quiet, enchanting presence that draws you in once you take the time to truly see her. Hecate was adopted once before but sadly returned when her previous family felt they weren’t quite “vibing.” The shelter environment can be overwhelming for a sensitive young kitty, and big changes are especially hard for shy souls like hers. Despite that, Hecate remains incredibly sweet—she just needs a little patience and understanding to let her true personality shine. She can be timid at first and will need time to acclimate to her new surroundings. With gentle encouragement, calm routines, and plenty of positive socialization, Hecate blossoms into a loving companion. She’s the kind of cat who bonds deeply with her person—the one who understands that trust is built slowly and lovingly. Because of her sensitive nature, Hecate would do best in a quiet home without dogs or small children. A peaceful environment will help her feel safe and secure as she continues to grow in confidence. If you have a soft spot for shy kitties and the heart to help one discover her courage, Hecate is ready and waiting for you. She may take a little time, but the love she’ll give in return will be nothing short of magical. Please apply for Hecate at https://www.gloucestercountynj.gov/FormCenter/Animal-Shelter-5/PreAdoption-Application-50
