Story
Date of Birth: 1/25/14Adoption Fee: $100.00Date Posted: 2/23/24Hi! My name is Cocoa Bean. I think that is pretty funny because I am a healthy girl who is a bit larger than a bean weighing in at approximately 12 pounds...LOL! The rescue people pulled me from a local animal control place after me and a lot of other cats and dogs were taken from the lady who neglected us. She kept all of us in a garage together. We didn't get a lot of attention because there were SO MANY of us in one little space. It has been great being in a home for the past few weeks where I have gotten lots of attention from my foster mom. I need someone just like her who will have the patience to let me learn to be a cat. Can you believe it took me almost three weeks to learn to jump up on her bed for snuggles?! That garage was pretty crowded so I didn't have a lot of room to do kitty stuff like jumping and climbing. I want to be with my humans so I will eventually figure out how to get there. When my foster mom is sitting, I position myself in front of her to let her know it is time for her to pick me up. The purrs commence as I curl up in her lap. After the purring comes the biscuit-making because I am so happy. Sometimes, I put my paw on a hand when you stop petting me. It is a very soft touch but my foster mom reminds me sometimes to be gentle if my claws come out a little bit. I start the night on my foster mom's bed close to her but may decide to go to my bed by the widow or into a closet before morning. I really like being brushed and combed. It would be great if the humans in my family were home a lot to spend time with me. I would enjoy lounging beside you as you watch a movie or read a book. I am also happy with a cheek rub as you walk by; I just like to know you are around. I know I am a little older but I have lots of love to share and plenty of years to do just that. Please come meet me soon? I would love to introduce myself to you!

Princess Kate was surrendered to a local animal control facility covered in fleas and suffering from hair loss due to an allergic reaction. She has recovered beautifully while in the care of her wonderful foster mom. Princess Kate will do very well in a calm home where her personality will shine. She is initially timid but then blossoms into a loyal companion when given a bit of time and patience. Princess Kate is the perfect combination of independence and devotion for a person looking for a friend who requires little effort in return for all the love that she will share. Come meet this exquisite little lady today.

Story
Please read this in full: Momma Cat is a wonderful, well behaved cat that deserves a good home. We need to find another place for her soon because we are concerned that medicine and side effects due to her hyper thyroid could be a health risk for our newborn who is starting to crawl and explore. She used to be indoor outdoor but when we adopted her from family we made her fully indoor and she has adjusted well. She has lived with a variety of pets including other cats and dogs and gets along well with most. We estimate her age to be around 10-12 years but she is still spry and playful. Her hyper thyroid requires twice daily doses of felimazole which runs only about $30/ month with our vet, however when her numbers get off i.e) she doesn’t get enough of her medication (it’s transdermal) she will get famished, overeat and vomit. We have tried to find a home on our own with no luck. We do not want to surrender her to a shelter and are looking for a loving home to take her.

Story
I am very shy and don't like going to adoptions.  I like my humans but don't like other cats.  I love to jump up and play with a catfish toy with my human and to snuggle in her arms.  I especially like to curl up and hide my head in her arm so she can't work.  After all someone has to insist that she take some breaks!    You can fill out an application for me at gahomelesspets.org  ##1919579##

Story
Simon is a 5 year old male tuxedo kitty and a cuddle bug! He loves being pet, picked up and snuggled, and playing with toys (tape measures are his favorite). He is good with dogs and children (even our 1 year old daughter). Sadly, he is a one cat household kind of cat (or at least one male cat). We have had Simon and his brother since they were kittens (both males). They were friendly up until they turned 3 years old - then they started getting territorial despite both being neutered. It breaks our hearts to see him leave, but think it's best for both his and his brother's stress levels. Simon is up-to-date with all immunizations and just had a vet visit (Holcomb Bridge Animal Hospital) with no issues.

Not good with kids, Not good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Penny is a beautiful almost all-ginger domestic shorthair with a few patches of white. She is very sweet when she gets to know you, although an experienced adopter might be best (or someone who is just very patient). She is skittish because her primary care-giver recently passed. That being said, she is very friendly after you've shown her some love. For a little history, my very generous, big-hearted mother was taking care of a community of cats after a feral, pregnant mom cat deposited two litters on my mother's property a few years ago. My mother worked through a community cat program to trap mom and get her spayed, then she tended all of the kittens and did the same for them. Mom cat is still feral, but the kittens (now full-grown cats) are socialized. Well, my mother passed away in December. We have brought all of the cats to my house (there are eight). We are keeping a couple, but can't take all (we have older cats ourselves, and a dog, and are planning to move).
