Story
Meet Penelope! This sweet calico girl was found among a feral cat colony and was quickly found to be not feral. She is the definition of velcro-cat! Soaking up the attention and receiving as many head scratches as possible are her favorite activities. Penelope can be shy as first, but the time and patience is takes to get to know her is definitley worth it! Penelope can be a solo cat or get along with a kitty companion. She would prefer a home without dogs. Penelope is spayed and up to date on all vaccines. Leigh’s fosterCourtesy posted for Canine Crusaders of Atlanta Must email: caninecrusadersatlanta@yahoo.com Meet Zoey! **Zoey is a most unusual color, very pretty, LOVELY Face and Personality, with soft gray fur. She was rescued with her 3 siblings from under a deck. Zoey needs another cat in the home to adopt, preferably her brother or sister, or another good natured, sweet cat. Zoey is 1 1/2 years old, a very sweet girl who talks when it’s time to eat, likes to play but is also an independent girl. She was the runt in her litter and has stayed on the small side for a cat. We'd like to adopt her with another cat or with one of her littermates, also up for adoption. But adding to your household with another friendly cat is great too!!! Having a pair of cats is much easier than one and can keep each other company when home alone.   Adoption fee is $150 which includes spay, vaccines, combo test and microchip.   email: caninecrusadersatlanta@yahoo.com Also, text 404-520-1060 to learn more.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 8, 2024, 5:26 pm

Story
MEET BEAUTIFUL CALICO LILY, a very intelligent and inquisitive short-haired tortoiseshell cat, is 8.3 lbs. of sweetness and would sit on your lap forever if she you’d let her. Her tiny meow sounds like a little kitten’s.   Poor little Lily was thought to be feral and was terrified of everything outside, including the person who was feeding her. She was trapped and spayed. But during post-surgery recovery, she started meowing, purring, making biscuits and reaching to be petted. Lily must have had a family in the past but was lost or abandoned, and found herself all alone and scared.   Lily has a big personality and is unique as ALL CALICOs are.  She wants a cat savvy forever person who’s home a lot to give her the attention she craves. She loves being petted and especially likes having her neck and chin softly scratched. When you walk, she wants to be right at your feet so if you’re at all unsteady, she’s not the girl for you. That’ll probably stop once she feels secure.   She LOVES her canned foo, but doesn’t care much for any fish product. She’s also not much into drinking water so warm water is added to her canned food to make sure she’s hydrated. Dry food isn’t a favorite she but loves treats like Temptations Mix-Ups and the like. A deep litter box is needed, maybe with a top, because she’s VERY vigilant in making sure everything is covered.   Since her past is unknown and in her foster home she isn’t around kids, she shouldn’t be in a home where young kids live or visit often. Older kids 12 and older who love cats might be OK. Her age is about 1 1/2 to 2 years old at most.   She tested negative for FIV/feleuk and heartworms, has her rabies vaccine and a microchip. She also had her feline distemper vax and a dose of Advantage Multi (defends against fleas, heart worms, ear mites, roundworm and hookworm) was applied.   For an application to adopt Lily, email veggie236.art@gmail.com .   OR Text 404-520-1060 cell for more INFO. www.awhar.org Thanks! you will love this little girl! Story
We got Olive nearly 11 years ago as a kitten from Petsmart adoptions. She's a very playful cat and loves to chase feathers and strings and lasers, even light accidentally reflected by our watches. We have to keep loose tape and ribbons out of reach though, because she does love to eat them! Olive is a very curious cat and she will explore and investigate every new thing and every inch of your house. She likes to be up high so things to climb on are great. We have a nice cat tree to send with her that she sleeps on every day. Olive is an affectionate cat and will appreciate your attention, although she's very good at entertaining herself as well. After 11 years of pet ownership, it's no longer something we want, so we want our cats to go to a good home who will give them the attention and quality of care they deserve that we are unable to give. Litter box, bag of litter, bag of food, cat tree, toys provided.

Story
Cydney is an amazing little girl with a cute bobtail. She is talkative, a sweetheart and she loves to play. She’s not necessarily a lap cat, but she loves to be close to you. She makes for great company! I have to let her go due to my land lord regulations, which makes me sad, so I want to make sure she goes to a really good loving home.

Story
Ditto came to us undersocialized and scared, but he's been blossoming and making great strides ever since. He loves the other cats and would do well in a home with another cat to build his confidence. He's a bit of a nervous nelly! One thing Ditto has learned since coming to PAWS Atlanta is how to play with toys - he loves feathers, cat nip mice, and any good game of chase and capture. He's heard you cannot catch the red dot, but he doesn't believe that. This sweet boy needs a patient, loving, and playful home where he can continue to grow. People still scare him and frustrate him at times, but he's curious and loves to play as long as they take it slow. He's currently in a foster home and continuing to make great progress there!

Story
Wish is currently living in a foster home and doing fantastic. We saw this sweet boy get thrown over our fence one day, and we rushed to find him. He was scared and hiding under our van, but he could not resist the chance at getting some attention, despite what humans had just done to him. He meowed and talked to us and began crawling towards us. We scooped him up and there has not been a day since that he hasn't been doted on and loved. He is affectionate, friendly, playful, and curious. He is tolerant and loving. But, Wish has one big hurdle to getting adopted. When he was abandoned at PAWS he tested leukemia positive, but he shed it, and he has had 3 negative tests since then, which means it could never come back and he can live a long, normal, healthy life but, because sometimes it can lie dormant in bone marrow, there is still a risk to have him around other kitties, particularly ones that are not vaccinated against FELV. He also cannot live with other FELV positive cats because he is negative. So, we need to find a one kitty home for this sweet boy. Luckily, his two fosters adore him and are willing to hold onto him until that hero steps forward. Wish is so worth the chance. He is a truly unique and special boy who has defeated the odds once and would love the chance to defeat them again and find a home. He is still young, and he has been nothing but healthy since we discovered him.

Story
Sasappis came to PAWS when his owners could no longer afford to care for him. Their son had moved in to help his parents, but they were getting older and taking care of the cats too was impossible. He gets along great with other cats, though he is shy with people. He is FIV positive but quite healthy. He loves treats! It is a great way to get to know this little man.
