NAME: HALF MOON BAY AGE/GENDER: 3 year old female BREED/HAIR LENGTH: Domestic short hair LITTER BOX TRAINING: Good! OTHER CATS: Fine with other cats, with a proper introduction. DOGS: Unknown, but may be okay with a cat-respectful dog who gives her space. CHILDREN: Cat respectful children, 12 and older. LOCATION: She is currently in a foster home. An adoption meeting can be arranged with an approved application. ADOPTION DONATION: $150 HEALTH: She is spayed, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and is current on vaccines. Your adoption donation goes toward offsetting the cost of this vet care as well as other incidental and general care costs.  HISTORY: Motley Zoo Animal Rescue was asked to find her a great forever family and that is exactly what we plan to do! NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Half Moon Bay is the sweetest cat! She has a darling grumpy face and a gorgeous calico pattern. She is a shy girl so a quieter home would be ideal. She likes to take it easy, so no rambunctious play sessions are likely in her future, but she is content to cozy up and hang out.   About Motley Zoo: Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue! We are a rock and roll themed, volunteer-run, foster based, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization based in Redmond, WA. Motley Zoo is a FOSTER BASED organization, which means our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. We do not have animals available for casual viewing or same day adoption. Due to the volunteer-run structure and decentralized/virtual nature of a foster based group, an approved application is required to make an adoption appointment for any of our animals. If you are interested in one of our Adoptable Roadies, please email adopt@motleyzoo.org and request an adoption application. We will work toward getting you approved as an adopter so that we can set a time for you to meet your new best friend! Motley Zoo also runs Rock Star Treatment Services in Redmond, WA where proceeds from this service, help support our rescue's $15,000/ mo vet budget- however, this is NOT a shelter. For more information about daycare or training, check out www.rockstartreatment.org. Please visit our website www.motleyzoo.org for more information! Story
Meet Nelly. A few months ago, this very special girl came to us with babies on board. When she lost those babies, she quickly stepped in as a second surrogate mother to help her sister, Purry, care for her kitten (Nugget). That little one is now weaned, and Nelly is now is ready for a new forever home. Like her sister, she is a gregarious and gentle cat -- the first to greet you at the door and shower you with love. She is just shy of two years old and still a kitten at heart. She adores playing, watching bird TV out the window and cuddling up for snuggle time. Nelly is bonded with her sister Purry, so this dynamic duo are a package adoption with a reduced fee of $200 for both. Please note that we require an indoor-only home and adopters to be at least 25 years old. The first step in our process is to fill out an application at www.havenrescue.org/catapplication

Story
My parents found Bella some years ago, scrawny and scared at a shelter. They say she chose them, and they patiently nurtured her into a healthy loving cat. Then, they got a puppy, and Bella was not happy with the change. So my brother took her in. But to his utter disappointment, my brothers current cat is not accepting Bella. He has been trying to make it work for months, but his catbrecently attacked Bella so badly she bled =[ I would take her but I'm allergic to her. We have run out of options. Bella is sweet, calm, gentle, quiet, and welcomes being pet. She will fall asleep on your bed, armchair, or near you wherever you might go. Please help us give Bella a happy new home. It pains us to lose such a lovely creature but we want her to feel safe in her home. And there is no doubt you will love her top ❤️

Story
Hello applicants!  Meet our adorable Angelina.  This sweet girl is just perfect!  She loves all humans, cats and gets along with dogs too.  Angelina like many other Spring Branch Rescue intakes was found on the streets of Houston.  Probably dumped or got away from her home.  When we took her in she had a litter of kittens with her.  We have been able to find homes for all except this amazing girl.  She is fully housebroken and extremely obedient.  She will do great in any living situation.  Her transition from our foster home to yours should be a very easy one.  Our dear Angelina is FIV positive.  You take a chance when rescuing a cat that they will be FIV positive.  Back in the days it was a death sentence for them as many were not educated enough on this.  THERE is nothing bad about FIV.  WE love our FIV intakes!  They live long happy lives.  They will require a little more attention to upper respiratory issues.  Kinda like someone who has allergies.  You will need to stablish a relationship with a vet and keep up with all your yearly shots as expected.  FIV cats can live with other FIV cats and Dogs.  Unfortunately, cats that have FIV cannot live with those that do not have it.  Some adopters have adopted in the past and kept up with yearly shots for their health cats.  That's up to you as an adopter.  We have to let you know what we were told by our vet.  We have found homes for so many!!!  Absolutely NOTHING bad with their adoptions.  Lived long happy lives.  Why should you adopt from a Texas Rescue? Because you will be giving one of our many dogs and cats in need a chance for a better future from a city that has an animal crisis.  We are heartbroken each day with the many incredible and loving animals found wondering our streets.  So many have been dumped and cannot find their way home.  Many never even had a home and were born on the streets.  WE gave them a chance.  Every animal deserves a chance. We know if adopted by you they will be loved and cared for . We believe in our local and out of state applicants.  There is a reason we drive to the Pacific Northwest every 2 weeks.  You are worth the drive. We have AMAZING adopters and we need more like them.  No matter if you live here in Houston, the Pacific Northwest or Canada we welcome you!  Thank you for considering to adopt and not shop.   If we are in Houston, then how can you see our posts?   Spring Branch Rescue has fosters all over the Pacific Northwest allowing us to post in specific cities. Yes our rescue is in Houston.  Our available animals live with foster families.  This is a win for you as the transition from our home to yours will be a much easier one.  We do have foster homes in your area.  This is why you are able to see our posts.  Unfortunatelly Meet & Greets have been cancelled due to Covid Restrictions.  Almost all our animals traveling have been adopted.  We have been doing this since 2019 and very successful.  Please take a look at our adopters reviews https://greatnonprofits.org/org/spring-branch-rescue Transport:  We also have our own rescue van and offer transport from Houston to your area every 2 weeks.  We have delivery points in Utah, Idaho, Washington, Oregon and for our Canadian adopters with a passport there is a stop in Bellingham WA just for you to meet us and drive/fly/or take the ferry with your new pet back to Canada!!!!  We didn't forget about you guys.  Everyone will receive an envelope with your pets required medical records to enter Canada without any issues.    Adoption Fee includes:  This adoption fee will cover everything we have spent so far in Houston in Medical expenses, Training, Food, and Microchip.  If you are adopting outside of Texas or live in Canada your new baby will come with a Health Hertificarte to Travel Accross state lines.   Our adoption fees:    Kittens & Puppies up to 1 year are $400.  Adult Cats & Dogs are $350.  Seniors (7 years & older) $250.   Any pets traveling to the Pacific Northwest will have an additional transport fee of $200.     With your adoption and transport fees we are able to help another animal in need that will join our rescue.  Rescue never sleeps and the cost of doing so keeps increasing.  We keep going thanks to our adoption fees and donations.  We are a registered 501 (C)(3) Non Profit.   If you have fallen madly in love and would like to make this baby part of your family, please go to www.springbranchrescue.org for an adoption application. ##1657175##

Story
Ivy was taken in as a stray and has been here ever since. She is a very sweet and loving cat. She has the zoomies quite a bit more than usual but that just makes her so much more special. She loves lickable treats and to look out the window at the birds. She is about a year and a half old, she hasn’t been outside since rescued from being a stray as a kitten nor has she ever been around any other animals before. We are looking to find her a new home due to landlord restrictions and it’s very difficult that we have to come to this decision but I want to find her the best loving and fulfilling home for her because she is a very good kitty. If i had to describe her in a very adjectives it would be she’s very charismatic and very friendly but can be timid at times.

** HAS SPECIAL NEEDS. PLEASE SEE HEALTH SECTION BELOW ** NAME: Joey King AGE/GENDER: 5/18/2020 Female BREED/HAIR LENGTH: Domestic Short Hair LITTER BOX TRAINING: Good OTHER CATS: Joey would be happiest in a home without other cats. DOGS: Joey is not a fan of big dogs or high energy dogs. She might be okay in a home with a small, low-energy dog.   CHILDREN: Cat respectful children, 8 and older.   LOCATION: In a foster home ADOPTION DONATION: $150 HEALTH: Joey has a condition called mega-esophagus. Having an enlarged esophagus puts Joey at serious risk for regurgitating food after eating, and this can quickly lead to aspiration pneumonia. Joey needs an adopter who will be committed to ensuring she eats using a special food stand (see pictures) and then holding Joey in an upright position for 1 hour after eating each meal to ensure the food goes into her stomach and does not come back up her esophagus. She will require a wet food diet, and cannot have dry food. She is spayed, microchipped, flea treated, dewormed, and is current on vaccines. Your adoption donation goes toward offsetting the cost of this vet care as well as other incidental and general care costs.  HISTORY: Joey came to us from another Washington shelter as a special needs case due to her mega-esophagus. Because the shelter was unable to provide Joey with the care she needed to eat safely, she came to us with a bad case of aspiration Pnuemonia and had to be hospitalized. NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Joey is a sweet girl who would be happiest in a quiet, low-key home. She is not a fan of other animals, though has been accepting of small, calm dogs in her foster home. Joey has the sweetest little meows and will use them to invite you to feed her. She eats twice per day using a specialized feeding stand - which her lucky adopter will get! Joey needs to be held up for 1 hour after each meal, making her a great TV watching buddy! About Motley Zoo: Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue! ** They must be adopted as a pair ** NAME: Seventeen Forever & Shake It LITTER: They are part of our "Metro Station" litter. LOCATION: They are currently living in a foster home. A meeting can be scheduled with an approved application. DOB: 8/26/2021 GENDER: Both are male BREED/HAIR LENGTH: Domestic Short Hair     LITTER BOX TRAINING: Good!     OTHER CATS: Good. The pair must be adopted together. DOGS: They may do well with a cat-respectful dog and with slow, carefully supervised introductions. CHILDREN: Cat-respectful children, ages 12 and over. ADOPTION DONATION: $275 for the pair HEALTH: Shake It does have a heart murmur that will need ongoing monitoring. They are neutered, micro-chipped, flea treated, de-wormed, and current on vaccines. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. HISTORY: This sweet pair came to us from a local shelter when they were diagnosed with Panleukopenia. Motley Zoo was asked to find him a great forever home and that is exactly what we plan to do!   NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Shake It is a shy kitty but he likes to cuddle. He likes to watch the action from his comfy bed. He would do best with older children as he doesn't like a lot of commotion. Seventeen Forever is the more outgoing of the pair - always exploring and making his foster home his own personal obstacle course! He is playful with his brother and enjoys toys. Like his brother, he does enjoy a good cuddle.     ABOUT MOTLEY ZOO: Motley Zoo Animal Rescue is a volunteer run, foster based, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization based in Redmond, WA. Motley Zoo does not have a traditional shelter location, but instead, utilizes private foster homes which care for the animals individually, in a home environment, until a "furever" home is found. Motley Zoo also runs "Rock Star Treatment" Dog Daycare & Training Studio in Redmond, WA which is a day-use facility and does not hold kennels of adoptable animals. The dogs there are owned animals who come to the facility while their families are at work and school so they can play and socialize in a safe environment. We dub this service our "Year-round" fundraising program which helps us support our rescue animals and the $15,000/ month vet bills we incur. This Studio location does have an Adoptable Cat Lounge, where cats may live until adoption, which is the exception to any aforementioned rules. Please email adopt@motleyzoo.org and request an adoption application so we can get you started on the journey to finding a new, furry friend! Once you have been approved to adopt, then we can set up a meeting with the animal you have been matched with. For more information, please visit www.motleyzoo.org. NAME: Honey Nut Cheerios LOCATION: She is currently living in a foster home. A meeting can be scheduled with an approved application. DOB: 9/20/2020 GENDER: Female     BREED/HAIR LENGTH: Domestic Short Hair     LITTER BOX TRAINING: Good!     OTHER CATS: She would prefer to be the only cat in the house.  DOGS: She would prefer a home without dogs. CHILDREN: She may do well with older children who can read her cues. ADOPTION DONATION: $150   HEALTH: She is spayed, micro-chipped, flea treated, de-wormed, and is current on vaccines. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. HISTORY: Honey Nut Cheerios came to us from another shelter, along with her babies. Her babies have all been adopted, and Mama Cheerios is ready to find her own forever home! NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Honey Nut Cheerios is a chatty girl who makes it clear what she wants - whether that's pets, alone time, treats, or play time! She loves having her chin and neck scratched, but the belly is a no-go for her. She loves to watch the squirrels and birds out the window, and says they're lucky that she can't go outside to get them! Honey Nut Cheerios is a sweet kitty but she has no problem giving you the scrunchy face or a little swat (but no claws!) to let you know she is ready to be left alone. For this reason, a home without young children would be best. But don't get her wrong, this girl does enjoy being loved on and getting attention!   ABOUT MOTLEY ZOO: Motley Zoo Animal Rescue is a volunteer run, foster based, 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization based in Redmond, WA.
