Story
Raffia is a 6-year-old calico with a big personality, a loving heart, and a story of incredible resilience. After being abandoned by the people she trusted, Raffia was left to survive on her own through the harsh Houston weather and elements. Thankfully, she was eventually brought to safety, where she received the care she desperately needed. She arrived with a few medical concerns that had to be addressed, but after months of treatment, monitoring, and lots of TLC, Raffia is doing great and is finally ready to find the forever home she has waited so long for. One of the biggest obstacles in her adoption journey is her heart condition, which requires a once-daily medication that costs approximately $50 per month. Despite being stable, healthy, and living a happy life, many potential adopters have passed her by because of her diagnosis. It breaks our hearts because Raffia has so much love, companionship, and joy to offer the right family. Raffia is a sweet, affectionate, and delightfully sassy girl. She loves rubbing against your legs, following you around the house, and charming everyone she meets. Food is one of her favorite things in life, and shes never shy about reminding you when its mealtime. After spending the last 15 months in boarding while waiting for her chance at a home, were helping her shed a few extra pounds and enjoy more exercise now that she has more space to move around. Like many confident cats, Raffia knows exactly what she likes. She enjoys affection and loves being pet, but she is not a fan of being picked up and carried around. Shell also let you know when shes had enough attention and appreciates people who respect her boundaries. Raffia would likely thrive as the only cat in the home where she can soak up all the love and attention for herself. She may do well with respectful dogs, as shes a confident and self-assured cat. We would recommend a home without young children and feel she would do best with older, cat-savvy kids (14+) or adults who understand feline body language and respect her space. After everything shes been through, Raffia deserves a family willing to look beyond a diagnosis and see the wonderful cat she truly is. Shes affectionate, entertaining, full of personality, and more than ready to spend the rest of her life being loved.

Story
MORE THAN A CAT -- A GREAT COMPANION DOB 4/1/22 This striking calico comes wrapped in a delightfully chunky package, complete with a soft, plush build that practically begs for gentle hugs (on her terms, of course). With her beautifully patterned coat and soulful eyes, Prudence has perfected the art of looking both regal and irresistibly huggable. Affectionate doesn’t quite cover it. Prudence is operating at maximum cuddle capacity. She’s the kind of companion who will happily keep you company through quiet evenings, lazy mornings, and everything in between. If you sit down, she’ll be there. If you lie down, even better. Low-energy and proud of it, Prudence believes life is best enjoyed at a relaxed pace. No chaos, no drama -- just soft pets, cozy spots, and quality time with her favorite humans. If you’re looking for a calm, loving presence with a little extra fluff and a whole lot of heart, Prudence is ready to settle in and make your home her forever kingdom. HOPE ID 26-0416-G049 Prudence is currently in the Houston, Texas area but can be transported to this location upon adoption. The $325 adoption fee includes transport, health certificate, spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for FIV/FeLV, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment against fleas and parasites. Story
Winnie and Kali are a sweet bonded pair. They were each adopted separately from two different shelters and have become best friends! Kali is three years old (7lbs) and Winnie (12lbs) will be one year old in September. These are the sweetest cats I have ever owned and I’ve had cats my whole life. Unfortunately, our one year old son is very allergic to cats so we need to find them BOTH a safe and loving home together.

Her pictures dont give her justice. She is so pretty and so sweet, her mother is a sweet dilute polydactyl calico and her father is an orange tabby with Siamese in him. She loves to snuggle and play with her brothers and sisters. All rehoming proceeds will go to spaying the mother.

Story
Chris Lowe is perfectly happy letting his charm do the talking. He's observant, and every bit as lovable. This handsome boy with (more) orange accents (than his brother, Neil Tennant) is ready to take on the world. You'll discover a playful, affectionate kitten with a silly side that appears at exactly the right moments. Feather toys? Game on. Crinkly balls? Don't mind if he does. An empty box? That's his own personal "West End" penthouse. Chris will quietly keep you company while you work, supervise your daily routine from the nearest comfy spot, and occasionally remind you that he accepts payment for his services in chin scratches and treats. His gentle nature, playful curiosity, and understated confidence have a way of sneaking into your heart before you even realize it. And unlike some celebrities, Chris is refreshingly low-maintenance- he's happy with a little fun, a cozy place to nap, and people who love him for exactly who he is. If your idea of a perfect companion is a kitten with quiet charisma, a playful streak, and enough personality to keep life from ever "Being Boring," Chris Lowe is ready to take center stage in your forever home! Please note about kitten adoptions: They can go together or individually to a home with another cat- but we do not advise adopting a single kitten. It is best for most kittens to be adopted in pairs- or go home with another cat. This helps avoid "Tarzan syndrome" where single kittens become difficult because they have no one to play with and bite them back. This can become quite challenging to manage as they age- and is often a reason people desire to surrender cats later. Also, nearly all who started out noting they only want one cat, come back about 6-9 months later and ask for another as a companion- however, it is much simpler to start with two that are bonded from the start.
