Story
This big, handsome goofball is looking for his forever family! He's a Rottweiler/Corso mix with a heart as big as his paws. Full of personality, Bruno is loyal, affectionate, and loves being around his people. He thrives on attention so would do best in a home where someone is around often to give him the love (and belly rubs) he deserves. If you've got room in your heart (and home) for a goofy loveable giant, Bruno might just be your perfect match.

Meet Novi!!Novi is a female Corso mix who is feeling scared and overwhelmed right now. The world feels big to her, and she approaches new situations with caution, but beneath the fear is a loving, gentle soul who wants nothing more than to feel safe.Novi is timid but affectionate, and once she begins to trust, her sweetness quietly shines through. She is searching for security, patience, and a calm home where she can finally relax and learn that she doesn’t have to be afraid anymore. Story
Meet Nation aka Kylo. Nation was Facebook famous for a bit when he was pursued up and down the Mt. Holly bypass. He has not been reclaimed and is now ready to be adopted. We here at the shelter will be sure his next home is his forever home. This boy is not only special to us but also many of our supporters. Nation is a big boy who`s pictures don`t do his beauty and size justice. He is not fully trained, so we will be extremely selective as to who will be shaping his future. Training and breed experience REQUIRED!Now a bit about this boy. He appears housebroken, leash trained but needs a little polish, silly and unaware of his size. In a calm environment he is focused on his handler and treat motivated. Nation does know a few commands. He adores people however we do not know how he will be with other animals and is too clumsy currently to be around small kids. If you`re ready to toss your hat in the ring for Nation we will be happy to speak with you after reviewing your application. If he isn`t the right fit we do have over 100 others, your future best friend could be sitting here waiting.

Story
Meet sweet Michaela (ACCT-A-237403)! This senior lady was surrendered to the shelter along with her sister, Bella (ACCT-A-237402), when their owner's health declined and he could no longer care for them. The owner recommended that Michaela and Bella stay together. Michaela is about 70lb and 9 years old. In the shelter, Michaela has been goofy and snuggly! She loves pets and attention and follows her sister around for comfort. She's had a good dog meet and, per her owner surrender notes, is "Great with children, good with strangers, okay with cats and dogs". She loves rope toys and treats and is already crate trained, housebroken, and knows some commands! Videos: Pets for Bella and Michaela: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/rmNtDYgy3Uw Michaela and Snuggle R: https://youtu.be/XRE4EHoecx8?si=cGwfnxj6b-AEvjrb Michaela and Snuggle R: https://youtu.be/HSovzG7QUsM?si=98yJ72yw2uD4QezX Behavior: Behavior eval 11/22/2025 Kennel Presentation: Stood at the front of her kennel with soft eyes and a loose body, low wagging tail. Took a treat gently through the kennel. Leash Skills: Easy to leash and walk out through the adoption lobby. Minimal pulling, went to the bathroom when outside. Sociability: Social with handler, soliciting attention and allowing handling all over. In the volunteer office, she and her sister went from person to person asking for treats and pets. Michaela was not as jumpy as Bella, asking for treats more gently. She remained loose and wiggly, loving pets all over and leaning in. Play: N/A Dog Interaction: Very comfortable with her sister. Loose body and followed each other around. When Bella reacted to another dog from afar, Michaela seemed to follow her lead a bit (barking toward the dog), but her reaction was smaller (no hackles or pulling) and she calmed down more quickly. Return to Kennel: Stopped briefly outside of her kennel, walked right in with a treat scatter. Easy to unleash Color Level: Gold Recommendations and considerations: Per owner 11/20/25 (Surrendered after 9 years along with Bella due to owner's health problems): The owner recommended that both dogs stay together. Fully housebroken, crate trained, medium energy, knows commands: yes, sit, lay down. Enjoys rope toys. Great with children, good with strangers, okay with cats and dogs. Owner recommended a "good family" ACCT Philly is located at 111 West Hunting Park Ave in Philadelphia. We are open for adoptions 7 days a week. Please visit www.acctphilly.org/adopt for details.
