Story
Honey has had a rough start in life and came to us from a situation where she wasn't treated with the love and kindness she deserved.During her time in shelter she would warm up to people and then retreat, making it hard for us to know what the right home for her should look like. Last week Manuka Honey went into foster with one of our awesome foster families so we could get a "better idea" of what she needed and it turns out she just needed to get out of the shelter! Since arriving in foster she has come out of her shell, she follows her foster dad around the apartment, enjoys brushing, hiding in boxes, and sitting on the kitchen chairs watching the world go by. We think she would likely be best suited in a home without small children or other pets, and with indoor only access as it is all she has known If you are looking to add a fun little sidekick to your home please apply online as she is in foster. We will contact selected applicants cats:https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/Our visiting hours are:Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 12-5Thursday, Public Holidays: closedSaturday, Sunday: 12-4 Primary Color: Black Weight: 4.8 Age: 4yrs 1mths 2wks

Story
Meet Lorenzo! He came into our care when his owner was no longer able to look after him. Lorenzo is a charming and social tabby who enjoys interacting with people. He absolutely loves to hang out in his cat tree and supervise all of the staff and volunteers! Lorenzo can become over stimulated by the movement of hands and legs but he has been making good progress with this. He will need to go into a house rather than an apartment or condo as he requires a lot of space. Lorenzo will be the most successful in an adult only home without other animals or kids. Come meet this loverboy today! Please come into the shelter during visiting hours if you would like to meet me. While we do welcome online applications, in person meets have top priority.cats:https://spca.bc.ca/adoption/cat-pre-adoption-questionnaire/Our visiting hours are:Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday: 12-5Thursday, Public Holidays: closedSaturday, Sunday: 12-4 Primary Color: Brown Tabby Secondary Color: White Weight: 4.775 Age: 2yrs 1mths 1wks

Story
Sebastian – The Playful Acrobat Don’t let the name fool you — Sebastian is a lovely little lady with a big personality! This beauty is one half of a bonded pair of sisters who are truly inseparable. The more adventurous of the two, Sebastian loves wand toys, zoomies, and showing off her impressive leaps when she’s in full play mode. Between bursts of energy, she’s all about cozy naps and quiet companionship. Sebastian’s confidence helps her sister, Ursula, feel at ease, and they share an unbreakable bond. From sharing meals to curling up for naps, these two do everything side by side. Because they’re such a close-knit pair, Sebastian and Ursula must be adopted together — and whoever welcomes them home will be rewarded with double the love, purrs, and personality. Sebastian (and her sister Ursula) would do best in a calm home with adults or older children. They can be a bit nervous around toddlers who move quickly, and they’ll truly shine in a gentle, patient environment. Must adopt with Ursula.

Story
Pippy is an incredibly affectionate cat who loves pets and back rubs. When she gets pet, she will arch her back like a professional contortionist and purr for as long as you pet her. She may even jump into your lap and kiss your nose. The only things Pippy doesn't like are being picked up and having her feet touched. At the same time, she can be very shy and jumpy, but warms up to people very quickly, especially if you have food. Pippy would do best in a quiet home with no other pets and older children only. She can't wait to meet you!

Story
Looking for someone to type "ffffff" on your work emails? Meet Jessica, a distinguished gentlewoman. Jessica was surrendered to VOKRA as her owner could no longer care for her. She makes the cutest trills and loves napping beside you as you watch TV or work from home. She has been known to 'help' with your work but is easily redirectable. She is a ferocious hunter of spring toys and shiny sparkly dangles; just be watchful as she loves to try to eat these. When she is not zooming, she is a very calm cat. Jessica often kneads biscuits and makes a great loaf too. She can be a slower eater and eats best with some love, pets, and support. Given her very long whiskers, she will need her food in a dish (rather than a bowl) to prevent whisker fatigue. She enjoys stretching out for belly rubs and once comfortable with you, she’ll enjoy being picked up for cuddles. While she will initially run and hide from any guests, she’ll then quickly warm up to them. Jessica would like to be in a calm home with her adopter home part of the day. If there are children, they should be older. Get your work from home buddy today!

Story
Aurora is a gentle cat who is a little timid and shy of those she has just met. However, she warms up quickly, happily accepting attention. Her foster home is busy, so she is used to being around people and noise. Aurora loves tummy rubs. While on your lap, she will make muffins and purr away. Her favourite time to cuddle is just after dinner. She enjoys playing with all toys and especially likes to play with her brother, Atlas. Once tired out, the pair will cuddle up together. Like her brother, Aurora is used to traveling by car. Must adopt with Atlas.
