Story
Hi I'm Forrest, and like my name suggests, I'm beautiful, majestic, and grand. I'm currently in a foster home while I'm searching for my fur-ever home and am loving the extra attention and love I'm getting! My foster (Hi foster mom!) says that though I may start off shy, I will quickly warm up to pats with lots of purring and affection! I particularly like to snuggle right in close, especially when I feel safe and secure. A quiet home is my preference as the noise of a busy house puts me on edge and I will give the odd swat or bite to let you know of my displeasure. A calm home and treats are truly the key to my heart. Although, maybe I've had a couple too many treats as I've put on a few extra pounds over the years (who hasn't?!). The shelter staff has told me that I need to start a diet plan and get my new paw-rent to help me get in shape with a new svelte summer bod. Sgt. Tibbs reporting for duty! Sgt. Tibbs is an adorably sweet gentle guy looking for an indoor home where he can relax, unwind and come into his big, beautiful personality we know is just waiting to shine through. He enjoys comfy beds, and the comfort of human companionshipThis ever so handsome fella has found his way into our shelter and our hearts with a large wound on his leg, resulting in a temporary drainage tube to help with his healing process. He's been a bit frustrated due to wearing the cone of shame, but lots of love, treats and pets helps with this. Sgt. Tibbs is ready to join your family through a foster-to-adopt agreement while he heals up his wound. For this reason we will be prioritizing local applications as he will have upcoming vet appointments here at our local vet clinic. To start the process of adoption follow the link below to submit your applicationhttps://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-cowichan/ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: Black Weight: 5.46 Age: 2yrs 2mths 3wks

Story
Meet Ray! Ray, at 2 days old, arrived at our branch with his mom, Faye. Faye was brought in desperate need of veterinary care, having struggled to deliver the rest of her kittens. Unfortunately, Fay suffered a prolapsed uterus, and despite efforts to birth her kittens, she was unable to do so. Upon arrival, staff rushed her to a veterinary clinic where it was discovered that she was on the brink of sepsis. Fay underwent an emergency c-section to remove the babies who sadly did not make it. While Fay was under medical care, her surviving kitten, Ray was sent to a foster home, where she was bottle-fed every two hours. Once Faye had sufficiently recovered from surgery, Fay and Ray were reunited in foster care, where they have remained inseparable ever since.Ray has now weaned and will be spayed May 3rd! We are looking for a local foster to adopt for this bonded pair!A note from their foster!:"Fay and Sweet Baby RayMeet this bonded pair Momma Fay and Baby Ray. Fay is almost a baby herself at 11 months old but has proven to be a wonderful mom to Ray who is now 10 weeks old. This duo are a bit on the shy side at first but warm up quickly to new people . Fay is an independent gal that loves to explore but always makes sure Baby Ray is safe . Both love to play and can be seen and heard chasing each other all over the place. When tired they love to swoop in for cuddles and kisses . Both are very affectionate and can't wait to be in their forever home together."SB: 588097https://spca.bc.ca/survey/cat-adoption-application-sunshine-coast/PLEASE NOTE: This cat is located on the Sunshine Coast and travel via BC Ferries is required to adopt.
