Beans is your typical orange cat—a total goofball with some questionable decision-making skills. He is super playful and will go full speed until he suddenly conks out from exhaustion. Beans was found outside at about 9–10 weeks old, so the world can still feel like a pretty big place sometimes. He may seem a little cautious when you first meet him, especially in a busy shelter environment. That hesitancy usually lasts about 20 seconds before he melts into you, rewarding you with loud purrs—especially if you happen to have Churu lickable treats. He has been raised with two children (ages 8–11) and around our older cats. He loves racing across our catwalk up high, but also appreciates having a cozy hiding spot under the couch when something scary happens (those trash trucks are loud!). Beans would thrive in a playful home, especially one with another friendly cat or kitten to help burn off his endless energy. He hasn't met dogs yet, but I suspect he'd do well with a calm dog that doesn't chase cats. Beans may not be the kitten who comes running to the front of the kennel to greet you, but don't let that fool you. New places are overwhelming, and he's still building confidence. Give him a little patience, a quiet place to settle in, and maybe a Churu or two, and you'll discover a goofy, affectionate little orange boy who's just waiting for his person.

Eloise's story began on a cold night when a Good Samaritan found her abandoned in a filthy crate, soaked in urine and feces, with painful wounds covering her tiny body. Despite everything she had endured, Eloise just wanted to be loved. She leaned into every gentle touch and purred with gratitude. As she received medical care, it became clear that her injuries were the result of prolonged neglect. Born with congenital deformities affecting her back legs and bladder function, Eloise had likely required more care than someone was willing to provide. Instead of receiving the compassion she deserved, she was discarded. But that wasn't the end of her story. After months of dedicated medical treatment, including the amputation of one of her hind legs and intensive wound care, Eloise has made an incredible recovery. Today, she's a happy, playful, confident girl who loves to wrestle with her other special needs foster friends, explore every corner of the house, and demand attention from anyone willing to give it. She doesn't let having three legs slow her down one bit! Because of her condition, Eloise is incontinent and will need an adopter who is committed to helping manage her daily hygiene needs. She requires routine cleaning and a home that understands her special care requirements. Eloise has been diaper trained and is agreeable for her daily Epsom salt baths that keep her clean and healthy. While her needs are greater than the average kitten's, they have become a normal part of her daily routine, and she continues to live a joyful, active, and fulfilling life. Eloise is looking for a patient, compassionate family who sees her for who she is, not her disability. She would do well with other friendly cats, dogs, and children and would love a home where she can continue to thrive, play, and be cherished. After everything she's overcome, Eloise deserves a family that will never give up on her again.
