Story
Sweet and sassy is Miss Gigi. She loves to be brushed, belly rubs, and to snuggle on the couch. She is obsessed with her spring toys and will play catch and bring them back to you to toss. She loves her cat wheel and will show off how fast she can run. She loves to sit on the toilet while you shower, sit on the top of the fridge while you cook and talk to you with her sweet throaty meows and chirps. She grew up with a medium size mellow dog and loves to groom him, she will not do well with a high strung dog, and her brother and sister cat. However, she is getting beat up by both and lashing out to both, we have done everything possible, catios, Prozac, separating and reintroducing and it’s has become detrimental to her health and well being and with the heaviest heart I must rehome her so she can be the solo princess, absolutely no other cats. She will come with her fav toys, cat wheel and bed. Her birthday is 2/28/23

Story
Finneas is a cute little orange creature. Definitely on the sillier side of cats. He spends most of his time begging to sleep in your lap while you’re working, or trying to get your attention in other forms. He does not spray, though he does not get along with other cats and will square up against an antagonistic dog. He will need to grow accustomed to you, he was rescued from a hoarding situation and will likely need a week to trust you. To speed this process up, call his name softly while you feed him temptations every morning.

Story
My kids are very attached to our cat. We love her and dont want to see her go. She was my daughters cat and my daughter left for college. We've had her since and she is very attached to my son now but we are unable to keep her. She is absolutely beautiful and the cleanest cat I've ever seen. We would love to find her a loving home where she can be more free.

Story
Meet Lugnut! She was given this name because she was a stray kitty hanging out around an auto shop, until myself and my roommates found and rescued her! We have been fostering her for nearly a year, with no luck of finding her a permanent family. We have loved taking care of her, but we want to continue fostering cats, and we are unable to do so with her here.Lugnut is a very sweet and affectionate girl. She loves attention, cuddling, and meeting new people. Shes around 3 years old, spayed, microchipped, and vaccinated.Lugnut also has some quirks that require an experienced and patient owner who is willing to work with her. She tends to bite when she’s overwhelmed, so she needs a family who is willing to give her space and respect those boundaries. She also may jump at your legs or arms sometimes. She doesn’t do well with other pets and young kids could be a safety concernWe are not charging anything for her adoption, and we’re willing to send her new owner with any supplies she needs.

Story
1) READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Templeton is a floofy tuxedo girl who brings the perfect mix of playful kitten energy and affection. She’s curious, adventurous, talkative, and always ready to see what’s happening next. Once she’s worn herself out, she’s just as happy climbing into your lap or onto your chest for some love and a well-earned nap. This high-energy girl LOVES to play! Wand toys, balls, crinkle toys, stuffed mice, climbing cat trees, chasing, pouncing, and the laser pointer are all favorites. She especially loves wrestling and racing around with her sister, Thumper. Templeton is also quite the little explorer and can often be found perched on a windowsill watching the world or waiting by the foster-room door for her next adventure. Templeton is wonderfully affectionate, too. She’ll climb into your lap or even onto your shoulder for pets and scratches, purring easily and returning the affection with ankle rubs, head bumps, and the beginnings of some very cute biscuit-making. When meeting someone new, Templeton may hang back briefly while she figures things out, but she warms up quickly. She has shown that she can adjust well to new people and environments, especially with another confident kitty nearby. She’s also interested in her foster family’s resident cats and isn’t afraid to approach them and try to make friends. Templeton would thrive in an active, playful home with plenty of interaction and feline companionship. She is being fostered with her sister Thumper, and while they are not a bonded pair, they adore playing, chasing, and wrestling together and would make a fantastic duo for a family looking for two kittens. She can also be matched with another compatible kitty. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ****HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER RESCUES/SHELTERS**** ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care! No one knows the kittens better than the people who have had them for the last several weeks or more. They will give you full details as to personality, background, quirks, likes/dislikes, ETC. Since adopting a pet is a commitment for the next 15-20 years, you want as much information as possible to make the best decision. ***Private, quiet meet & greets You get to visit the kittens in their own current environment where they run free so their true personality shines through. Our kittens aren’t subjected to noisy stores and stressful cages and you won’t be competing with other annoying people for your desired kittens. ***Quality over Quantity We are a small rescue so we can focus on each kitten individually to provide personalized medical & socialization protocols. Because we do not overcrowd, our cats do not pass contagious diseases to each other. ***Veterinary Care We balance a mix of holistic & conventional protocols to keep our kittens healthy. We use high quality disease preventatives & medication when necessary. Mission Meow only wants the best medical care for our kittens, so we don’t skimp on those costs AT ALL. We work closely with our vet to come up with a plan for any kittens who may be ill and to prevent any unnecessary and over medicating. Three local veterinarians have adopted from us after observing the quality of our kittens. ***Food Our kittens are nourished with high-quality food. We ‘ve been offered free /discounted food from other companies but we choose to use the best option even if it costs more for us. ***Resident Pet/Child Safety While no one can guarantee the health of any living being, we do our best to make sure your adopted kitten does not have any issues such as parasitic worms that can be passed on to your resident pets or children. We have a very thorough deworming protocol using the best products on the market and the proper duration. Most places adopt kittens while they are in between showing signs of intestinal worms. Not us. ***Post Adoption Support It is extremely rare that we have any issues post adoption, but if there were any that presented themselves, we would work with you towards a resolution. We pride ourselves on the one-on-one relationships we build with our adopters. __________________________________________________________ ALL CATS ARE: SPAYED/NEUTERED ~Vaccinated ~Rabies* ~Microchipped** ~Tested for Diseases ~TREATED/PREVENTATIVE FOR: Fleas Worms Ear Mites ~Litterbox Trained ~Socialized in private foster homes ~MULTI ADOPTION DISCOUNT * If age appropriate ** FREE LIFETIME REGISTRATION ____________________________________________________ APPLICATION: For FAQS and Priority Consideration, please fill out an application located here: https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process _____________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION LOCATION:***** By private appointment in Rocklin/Roseville/Lincoln/Citrus Heights/Auburn CA area, or at Bark Avenue Rocklin ______________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION PROCESS:***** APPLICATION: Please contact us and we will send you an online application. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs. if we think it's a potentially good match. INTERVIEW: An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time. APPROVAL: If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files. TIME FRAME: Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days. WHY: Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive. Thank you!
