Story
This sweet boy is looking for his forever home. He is super playful, loves attention, and does great with both kids and adults. He’s very affectionate—a major cuddle bug who gives kisses and follows you around for love. He even enjoys water, which makes him extra unique and fun. He deserves a home where he can get the time and attention he needs. Due to my schedule, I’m unable to give him that, and I want what’s best for him.

Story
Good Cat 2 years of age in need of a new home. She only comes out when the kids are asleep so it would make a good cat for older couple or older single person. Our kids are five and eight and she prefers not to be around them but when they're asleep she comes out and gives us plenty of attention. Very soft and fluffy.

1) READ ENTIRE AD 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end). *****BONDED PAIR LOCATED IN MERCED AREA***** Meet the Yin and Yang duo: Mooshi and Jacob. These two kittens are complete opposites in both color and personality, yet together they form the perfect balance. Mooshi is a striking pure-white kitten who happens to be deaf. He was found wandering alone at night and stopped right in front of a gas station exit. Thankfully, a kind rescuer spotted him and took him in. Mooshi’s personality is as bright as his fur. He’s the life of the party zooming around the house, investigating every corner, leaping onto every surface, and playfully roughhousing with cats, dogs, and humans alike, all before you’ve finished your morning coffee. He’s got the energy of an Energizer bunny, but when he’s done, he’ll flop down dramatically and snooze without a care in the world. When nighttime comes and his batteries run low, Mooshi turns into a snuggle bug, seeking out warm cuddles with his favorite humans. Because Mooshi can’t hear, he’d do best in a home that isn’t too noisy or high-traffic, so he doesn’t get startled by sudden movements. Although deaf, his visual acuity is impeccable and helps him navigate the world beautifully. Jacob, on the other hand, is the calm to Mooshi’s storm. This handsome boy loves lounging on soft cat beds, cozy chairs, or a good perch on the cat tree. He’s gentle, affectionate, and always ready to lend an ear, literally, for his brother, Mooshi. While Jacob can be vocal when he’s hungry or wants attention, he’s mostly a laid-back sweetheart who enjoys human company and expresses his love with deep, rumbling purrs. Jacob also aspires to be a runway supermodel with his sleek build and long, elegant legs. And he’s not your typical black kitty, if you look closely, you’ll see subtle tabby stripes that add a stylish pop of pattern to his glossy coat. Together, they balance each other perfectly. Mooshi’s playful spark and Jacob’s soothing calm. Mooshi is DEAF so a special home is required. He does not require any expensive vet care for his deafness, just home that is aware. ________________________________________________________ ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care! No one knows the kittens better than the people who have had them for the last several weeks or more. They will give you full details as to personality, background, quirks, likes/dislikes, ETC. Since adopting a pet is a commitment for the next 15-20 years, you want as much information as possible to make the best decision. ***Private, quiet meet & greets You get to visit the kittens in their own current environment where they run free so their true personality shines through. Our kittens aren’t subjected to noisy stores and stressful cages and you won’t be competing with other annoying people for your desired kittens. ***Quality over Quantity We are a small rescue so we can focus on each kitten individually to provide personalized medical & socialization protocols. Because we do not overcrowd, our cats do not pass contagious diseases to each other. ***Veterinary Care We balance a mix of holistic & conventional protocols to keep our kittens healthy. We use high quality disease preventatives & medication when necessary. Mission Meow only wants the best medical care for our kittens, so we don’t skimp on those costs AT ALL. We work closely with our vet to come up with a plan for any kittens who may be ill and to prevent any unnecessary and over medicating. Three local veterinarians have adopted from us after observing the quality of our kittens. ***FOOD: Our kittens are nourished with high-quality food. We ‘ve been offered free /discounted food from other companies but we choose to use the best option even if it costs more for us. ***Resident Pet/Child Safety While no one can guarantee the health of any living being, we do our best to make sure your adopted kitten does not have any issues such as parasitic worms that can be passed on to your resident pets or children. We have a very thorough deworming protocol using the best products on the market and the proper duration. Most places adopt kittens while they are in between showing signs of intestinal worms. Not us. ***POST ADOPTION SUPPORT It is extremely rare that we have any issues post adoption, but if there were any that presented themselves, we would work with you towards a resolution. We pride ourselves on the one-on-one relationships we build with our adopters. __________________________________________________________ ALL CATS ARE: SPAYED/NEUTERED ~Vaccinated ~Rabies* ~Microchipped** ~Tested for Diseases ~TREATED/PREVENTATIVE FOR: Fleas Worms Ear Mites ~Litterbox Trained ~Socialized in private foster homes ~MULTI ADOPTION DISCOUNT * If age appropriate ** FREE LIFETIME REGISTRATION ____________________________________________________ APPLICATION: For FAQS and Priority Consideration, please fill out an application located here: https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process _____________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION LOCATION:***** By private appointment in Rocklin/Roseville/Lincoln/Citrus Heights/Auburn CA area, or at Bark Avenue Rocklin ______________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION PROCESS:***** APPLICATION: Please contact us and we will send you an online application. PLEASE NOTE This particular cat is being fostered in the *MERCED AREA*. Meet & greets are ideally done there, however it's sometimes it's possible we can arrange a meet & greet In Elk Grove or Roseville. Please fill out application below. Pepper Pepper is a remarkable little survivor with a heart as big as her story. After being found trapped in a storm drain for a couple of days, Pepper was whisked away by a kind human who later took her to the welcoming home of a kind rescuer and her teenage daughter. The girl, recovering from her own health challenges, chose Pepper as her summer project and what an adventure it became! At first, Pepper’s feisty spirit and wary eyes hinted at the rough patches she’d endured. But with endless patience, gentle words, and heartfelt devotion, her teenage foster friend showed her the true meaning of love and safety. Now, Pepper is a transformed kitty, blossoming into an affectionate lap cat with a sweet, purring soul. She delights in long snuggles and has learned to trust, returning every ounce of care with boundless love. Though loud noises can still startle her, sending her off to her favorite cozy hideout, Pepper always returns, seeking out the warmth of a trusted lap. Pepper can live with other cats and dogs after a proper introduction, but she can also be content as the only pet. She will tolerate being held but generally prefers not to be. If you’re ready to open your home and heart to a kitty who needs a patient family, Pepper is more than prepared to shower you with affection and gratitude. ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care! 1) READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end) Sammy — The Loyal Protector with a Heart of Gold Sammy is a gentle, mature kitten whose quiet strength shines brightest when he’s watching over his beloved brother Jack. As Jack’s devoted guardian, Sammy is always close by—grooming him, curling up beside him, and offering the steady comfort only a true brother can provide. Their bond is unbreakable, a beautiful reminder of trust and love in its purest form. Though shy with strangers and quick to seek a peaceful hiding spot at first, Sammy transforms into an incredible cuddle buddy once he feels safe. Like Jack, he adores those deep, heartfelt snuggle sessions, melting into your arms with soft purrs that speak volumes about his gratitude. He appreciates his alone time too—quiet moments to recharge in a cozy corner—making him the perfect fit for a calm, less active home where patience and gentle routines allow his affectionate side to bloom. Sammy gets along wonderfully with other cats, bringing harmony and warmth wherever he goes. All he needs is a patient family willing to earn his trust slowly, giving him the space and time to open up. In return, he’ll reward you with unwavering loyalty, tender cuddles, and the quiet joy of a soul who’s finally found his safe place. If you’re ready for a shy-but-sweet companion who will love deeply and protect fiercely (especially alongside his brother), Sammy is waiting to share his heart with you. Story
1) READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ With the new year comes new year resolutions for many people. If this is the year that you want to help a special needs kitty (or two), or adopt a pair of kitties that need some extra love and attention then please read on to learn about Jack and his brother Sammy. A special needs pet is an animal that has a physical, medical or behavior challenges that require extra care. These pets offer deep bonds with humans and thrive in supportive homes. When Jack was rescued, he had a ruptured eye that required an emergency enucleation (eye removal surgery). Although cats can do very well with one eye, they often have depth perception challenges, as is the case with Jack. For Jack this means that he doesn’t jump onto high surfaces and has difficulty finding objects if they are not well defined. Aside from these minor challenges Jack is a very happy kitty that has fun running around and playing with Jack and the other cats in his foster home. Jack is also somewhat of a “velcro kitty”. Jack follows his foster mom around everywhere and as soon as she sits or lies down, he is right next to her or on her. This is Jack’s happy place….being close to the person he trusts and that he knows cares deeply about him. Jack’s need for attention is more than what your typical kitty companion needs, or wants, but this is a must for Jack. Jack and Sammy often compete for snuggle time and Sammy always steps away, letting Jack get more attention. But that doesn’t mean that Sammy doesn’t want attention, he just looks out for Jack and protects him whenever he thinks it's necessary. Sammy is a kitty that likes to have some alone time, and he prefers a less hectic environment. This doesn’t mean that he is always calm…he can be a wild crazy kitten like any other. He runs around the house playing chase, he plays with his toys, wrestles with his brother Jack, and he lounges on top of a cat tree or on a (human) bed for a cozy cat nap. Sammy isn’t as confident as Jack, but Sammy’s sweet demeanor will melt your heart. Both Jack and Sammy dislike change and are not comfortable around people they don’t know. Jack and Sammy are amazing kitties that need a family that understands that they will not run to them to say “hello” when first introduced. It might take a few days before these brothers feel comfortable enough to approach a new person for attention, treats or play. Once Jack and Sammy feel comfortable, and safe, in their new home they will continue to blossom, and you will start to see how amazing these kitties are and what exceptional companion kitties they can be. Jack and Sammy have been waiting for the perfect home for quite a while because most people want a sure thing. They want their new family members to “pick them”. This isn’t going to happen with Jack and Sammy because they are shy kitties that need time. But with some patience you will see that they are amazing and truly deserve the chance to have a happy life with a loving family. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ****HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER RESCUES/SHELTERS**** ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care!
