Hi, I’m a 4-year-old Siamese kitty named Wexler. I have a gentle soul and a story that shaped who I am today. I came into the shelter two years ago from a very difficult hoarding situation, and that’s when Klassy Kats Cat Rescue stepped in and gave me a chance. At first, I was placed as a barn kitty, but it didn’t take long for them to realize I was actually a very special indoor cat at heart. I’m lovable but super shy, and I do get scared easily—life taught me to be cautious—but I truly love people once I feel safe. I was tip-eared back in my barn-kitty days, and I also had a bad ear infection that left me with what humans call “cauliflower ear.", and a snaggly tooth. My foster mom said it just adds to my charm and tells part of my journey. I’m a bit quirky in the best way. I love wet food, but I prefer to enjoy it quietly at night (I like my routine!). If you have wet food, I will absolutely be your best friend. I get along wonderfully with other cats, and I’d do best in a quiet, patient home where I can settle in at my own pace. Because I’m fair-skinned, I need to stay indoors only, where I feel safest anyway. Hi - I'm Truckee! Yep—you guessed it! I got my name because I was found as a tiny 3-week-old kitten at an auto repair shop. I may have had a rough start, but that didn’t stop me from becoming the sweetest little lovebug you’ll ever meet. I was born a little different—I didn’t have eyelids (a condition called eyelid agenesis). But thanks to lots of love, dedicated care, and some pretty amazing surgeries (including reconstructive work and an “eye tuck”), I’ve spent the last year and a half healing and growing stronger every day. What really matters about me, though, is my heart—I am incredibly loving. I’ll melt right into you for pets, purr nonstop, and happily keep you company all day long.
