Story
Hello this Skye a Tabby Cat I got as a Stray when he was just a little kitten. The main thing to know about Skye is to have patience with him, and let him come to you. Once he gets used to you then it will hard to split him from you. Skye loves to follow his owner everywhere, play, gives lots of kisses and will greet you as soon as you come home. If you leave home he will wait by the window for to return. He’s a bit spoiled and doesn’t like changes in routine to much and likes attention so he will need someone who is home more often than I am. His nick name is zoomy because he randomly runs around the apartment and chases his own tail like a dog. Hopefully he can find a good owner and home to go too.

Story
Birdie, a beautiful orange tabico, joined our family in May 2023 after our beloved kitty of 15 years passed away. Our house has two kids 5 &7 years old. Favorite things are lasers, feather toys, and anything she can hunt like cicadas, lizards and squirrels. We love Birdie but behaviorally she is no longer compatible with our kids. She is either sweet and cuddly or in an aggressive mood. Birdie loves to snuggle with me and allows me to give her pets; however, she can snip or get scared after she’s been relaxed and snoozing in my lap too long. She can also jump at me. Birdie wants to be in the middle of the action even when we are all playing outside; however, she does not want the kids to touch her often. Her favorite place to sleep is my daughters bed but I can no longer allow her to do so. Based on Birdie’s personality, she would likely thrive in a home with a female owner, no young children, and plenty of opportunities for hunting. We love her and we hope she can find another loving

Story
I have found cooper when he was 2 months.he is around 5 months now. My roommate bring him from his parents house since they was looking for adoption. He never been in cage. I have provided him good food and care as like my baby. He is very friendly with people and playful kitten. He would love to be around other cats but he never been around other cats since he came to me. I am looking for a new home where he will treat as much love and care please. If I don’t have issues with my landlord I would keep him with me. I would love to provide his food and litter sometime. He need to be with someone who loves cat and would be preferred if have other pets in the house. He was vaccinated at 3 months once Thank you

Story
Creamsicle came to us as a stray on our porch, which sits along an extremely busy road a mile from the interstate. We took him in despite already having four other cats, as our then 2 year old daughter was in love and would have been devastated to see him turn up as roadkill. Unfortunately he was picked on by those senior cats early on, and between that and our very divided attention, he never quite overcame his feral state. He seems very much to want to be friendly, but he'll get scared and snap at you over the slightest provocation. I feel that a new home with no other cats (and no very young children, as they're unpredictable and scary for Creamsicle) could help break his stress cycle and allow him to relax and enjoy his old age. He would do well with a lot of attention, and is very food-motivated to boot.

Story
Meet Texas Pete (Action Superstar) Texas Pete — The Spicy Superstar! 5 months old - Silky & shiny fur - Brave, brilliant, and full of heart Meet Texas Pete, the little cowboy with a big personality and a heart of gold. He and his siblings found themselves, through no fault of their own, in a rural shelter facing euthanasia. But fate (and a quick rescue mission!) had other plans. We pulled them just in time, and Texas Pete has been showing everyone what it means to make the most of a second chance. At first, he and his siblings were shy, unsure of what to make of humans. But Pete, ever the brave one, was the first to decide that people aren’t so bad after all. His confidence helped the others come out of their shells, too, he’s that natural leader everyone loves to follow. Now, Texas Pete is a certified superstar. He’s playful, energetic, and the first to come running the moment you pick up a feather toy. He’s always ready to show off his ninja jumps — yes, the kind that defy gravity — and he’s convinced he should be working as a professional action model. In between his stunts, Pete makes time for his daily routines: following you into the bathroom every morning to make sure you’re doing okay, sleeping in bed with you at night, and demanding a fair share of cuddles and head scratches. He’s also ridiculously smart. Food puzzles? Solved. Treats? Oh, he’ll do anything for them — and he’s not shy about training you in the art of snack delivery. He loves watching Cat TV and even enjoys playing tablet games for cats (yes, he’s tech-savvy). He’s also learning to walk on a harness and leash — though he’s pretty sure his foster mom is the one being trained. Texas Pete is a gentle soul with kittens, grooming them and acting like the best big brother ever. He loves other cats, adores attention, and thrives on companionship. He’s silky soft, loves being brushed, and even tolerates nail trims and teeth brushing like a little gentleman. He’s the complete package — playful, affectionate, curious, confident, and oh-so-loving. Texas Pete is still a kitten and thrives on companionship, thus he needs to be adopted with one of his siblings or into a home with another playful cat to match his energy and keep his big heart full. Here is some information why we have this policy: Two kittens are better than one For a pair of kittens we apply a $25 discount from each adoption fee. Pete are estimated to be 4.5 mo old as of Oct 2025 and fully vetted: neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, and microchipped. He tested negative for FIV and FeLV and heartworms Check out more photos and videos of Pete here: Pete Photos To meet Pete, start by filling out an application here: Adoption Application Questions? info@littlelivesatl.org
