Tom was a stray found on a college campus when he was just a kitten. My daughter's friend attended the college and asked if we would be interested in taking him. We had just lost our dog and my wife didn't want to leave a kitten alone or put in a shelter so she took him. That was approximately 12 years ago. We have another cat, Kenzie, who was adopted at the same time to provide Tom company. They are approximately the same age. Both have had all their shots, regular check ups and both are declawed on their front paws. Neither has had any serious health problems. Tom is very laid back and not excitable. Kenzie is more skittish but she enjoys attention. They are very close and typically cuddle up with each other when they sleep. We are wanting to place them because my daughter just recently married a man who is seriously allergic to cats. They can't visit us due to his allergy. Also, the man who works with my son who has autism has bad cat allergies.

Mingming is a lazy senior cat, acquired as a kitten and he's now approximately 16 years old. He mostly likes to hang out and lie in the sun. He will rub his head on your feet / legs and is affectionate on his own terms. Sometimes he'll hop in your lap if you're sitting on the couch. He will accept some petting, but He's food motivated and likes to chase treats, and for some reason hotwheels cars. He likes playing with string and some cat toys for a few minutes at a time. He seems to be happiest in a quieter household. He has gotten along with other cats and even dogs, but prefers not to be bothered. He just needs food, water, a fresh litterbox, and some company. We're moving and won't always be there to take care of him, so we want to find him someone who will be there for him who wants a relaxed older cat.

Story
This little gentleman appeared at the end of 2024 and immediately stole our hearts. He became very ill, and upon trapping him and getting him to the vet, he was diagnosed as FIV+. It took a year for him to recover and is now looking for a dedicated home. He needs regular vet visits, but otherwise is a happy and healthy little man. Cookie Monster enjoys going on walks and relaxing in the garden.I truly wish we could keep him. He is so affectionate. But he doesnt get along with other cats and we have several rescues.
