Sky is approximately 4 years old and needs a home where she will be the only pet. She has lived with other cats in the past and they did not enjoy each other’s company. She currently lives in a home with dogs and is unhappy and hiding all of the time. I’m certain that being in a more calm and quiet environment will make her more comfortable and happy.

Charlie came to live with us in 2019 at 6 months old from the Humane Society. She has always been a loner, not a lap cat. As she has gotten older, she has become aggressive with our grandchildren. She also has a skin condition and some anxiety we have not been able to manage successfully. She has gotten along well with other cats.

We are still looking for a home for Midnight.Midnight is a beautiful black cat who is 4 years old. We are looking for someone to adopt her or foster her for sometime. She enjoys rubbing up against her owner and going outside. Midnight is affectionate on her own terms, enjoying head scratches when she initiates contact and will sit on your lap on her terms. She would thrive in a home that respects her boundaries and appreciates a 'roommate' relationship with a pet. She will occasionally sit on your lap or lay on you for cuddles. She would be best in a house with an environment that respects her independence. She has never been around a dog and we aren’t sure how she is around babies/children as she has only been around a baby for 11 months.She may do good with a cat around her age that likes to play. Our other cat is older and does not like to play.She is up to date on her shots and has her 4 year physical this month.If she is not a good fit we would want you to bring her back to us.

Meet Girly! This petite little lady spent some time in foster to care for her kittens and is now on the hunt for a home of her own! Girly was described as sweet and very talkative by her foster family. She is a chatty lady who loves to snuggle with her people. She would love a variety of toys and cat trees/scratchers in the home to keep her happy and active. In her foster home, she briefly met the resident dog and seemed OK. She did great with the children in the home. It is unknown how she does with other cats. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal home. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition. Girly should be fed measured portions of a high-quality cat food to help her maintain an appropriate weight and long-term health. Any necessary supplies or toys can be purchased from the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling 320-252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. This kitten was found on 2nd Avenue North in the city of Waite Park. At-large fees must be paid to city hall, and a receipt must be shown at the shelter before they can be reclaimed. Owners reclaiming their cat must bring a carrier or purchase one from our Re-Tail Shoppe. The impound fee of $125 plus tax paid to TCHS with proof of ownership will be due at time of reclaim.
