Story
Looking for a loving home for my cat. He is a very sweet and affectionate cat who enjoys being around people. He is quite talkative and likes to “chat” with you throughout the day. He loves cuddling and snuggling, especially when he’s relaxing with his person. He also enjoys climbing and spending time in high spots like cat trees, shelves, or the top of furniture where he can watch everything going on. He is okay with other cats, but it may take a little time and patience for him to adjust and get comfortable with them. He especially loves wet food and gets very excited when it’s feeding time. Overall, he is a loving and playful companion who would do great in a home where he gets attention, affection, and a little patience while settling in.

Story
Chicken is a sweet cat and loves to love. Unfortunately with a new baby I don’t have the resources to give her the attention she deserves. She was attacked by dogs previously and is afraid of them but does love children. She might be nervous at first but is super loving once she gets comfortable. She loves her nice toys and has a weird obsession with her stuffed chipmunk. She is liter box trained and loves to snuggle at bedtime. She currently only eats dry food. This is hard for me but I know she deserves somebody who can give her all their attention and love, she is a sweetheart and I hope to find her the proper home. At 3 years old she has gotten to her full size but still has young cat energy.

Story
Meet Sherbert! He has been described as independent, playful, and sometimes lazy. Sherbert has not lived with other cats or dogs but isn't a fan when he sees them outside. We think he would do best as a solo kitty. He has lived with children and usually keeps to himself. All introductions should be slow and proper when bringing home new animals. Ask staff for tips! He enjoys an occasional trip outdoors and would love supervised time outside or in a catio. Does he sound like a good fit for your family? He should be fed measured portions of a high-quality cat food to help him maintain an appropriate weight and long-term health. Any necessary supplies or toys can be purchased from the TCHS Re-Tail Shoppe. Come meet him today! *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling (320) 252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. Adoption holds are $25 plus tax, are non-refundable, non-transferable and not applied toward the adoption fee. **Minnesota sales tax and an administrative fee ($20 for cats/dogs and $10 for small animals) will be applied to all adoptions. Donations and adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter surgeries, microchipping, vaccinating, deworming, any medical procedures, and general care of all shelter animals. Story
Meet Laverna! This cat came to TCHS after being found outdoors; after spending some time in the shelter it became clear that she prefers the outdoor lifestyle! She doesn't seem acclimated to human interaction, so she is now part of our Working Cat Program. *Adoption holds may be placed on available animals in person or by calling 320-252-0896. An adoption hold reserves available animals for one day after the animal is ready to be adopted. More than one adoption hold may be placed on an available animal and will be honored in the order they were received. MBAH Kennel License MN140200 ***At TCHS, working cats are “name your own price." All adoption fees help cover the costs of their care, but it’s also important to us that they find a good outdoor home as soon as possible. All TCHS working cats are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Working cats are available on a first-come, first-served basis. We will accept a $25 adoption hold over the phone if you are interested in adopting and would like first dibs. If you are interested in adopting an available working cat, please contact the shelter at (320) 252-0896 or stop into the shelter for more information.

Story
Say hello to Carlos! He came to TCHS with some friends! He is used to living an indoor/outdoor lifestyle and may need extra time to adjust to change. Carlos is a bit reserved but enjoys being pet on his cheeks and chin and will give you an appreciative purr. He is a fan of freeze dried cat treats. He has lived around medium breed dogs, other cats, and children between the ages of 3-5 years old and has done well. Slow and proper introductions to resident pets and children are always recommended when bringing a new animal home. Ask a TCHS staff for tips on how to ease the transition. Carlos should be fed measured portions of a high-quality cat food to help him maintain an appropriate weight and long-term health.
