Story
Goldie is an approximately 3 year old quiet beauty. Much like the story of the Virgin Mary, she unexpectedly found herself in a family way. She was all alone and had her babies, Myrrh and Frank(incense) outside. Lucky for her, a kind wise woman brought them inside and gave her the gift of safety and a warm place to raise her kittens.  Goldie is now ready to pay it forward and offer someone a lifetime of cute kitty love. She is a little shy at first but is beginning to seek out scratches and is purring. Her foster mom thinks she will continue to blossom as she is playful and sweet. Her markings are unique and she has a fabululous gray tail. She's great with the litter box, enjoys toys, looking out the window and loves the sink and the bathtub.  She is not afraid of the mellow dog and enjoys playing with the other cat.  Goldie has been spayed, microchip and vaccinated.         ##1897898##

Story
Meet sweet and tiny Flora.   Flora was rescued from a horrendous animal hoarding situation in November of 2023.  There were as estimated 100 cats living in an empty home covered with feces and urine.  Roughly 1/3 of the cats in the house had lost their eyes due to rampant eye infections and injuries. Most of them were terrified.  Paws Across Pittsburgh worked with other local rescues to get these cats out of this terrible situation.   Flora is a tiny four pound female estimated to be around 10 years old.  She was discovered limping around the house because she had ulcers on her paws as a result of walking through all of the waste in the home.  She had stomatitis and severe dental disease, causing her tremendous pain when trying to eat.  Flora had an upper respiratory infection and was found to be FIV positive.   Fast forward 5 months and Flora is healthy and happy!  She is spayed and has had several teeth removed.  She loves attention from her foster family and has the loudest purr ever heard.  We are considering reaching out to the Guinness Book of World Records!  Flora loves to play and gets the zoomies several times a day.  She is becoming braver with her affection and will now climb into your lap.  Flora will still briefly hide when nervous or meeting new people.  It's important to remember that she lived in a fight or flight state all her life as all of those cats had to fight to survive with the limited resources they had.     Flora is ready to find her forever home.  She would do best in a quiet, loving, stress free home to counteract her time spent in fear and filth.  Don't let the FIV positive status scare you off - FIV positive cats typically live a normal life span!    This sweet, tiny girl deserves the VERY best in life.  If you are looking for a tiny sweetheart with the world's loudest purr, Flora is the one for you! ##1939573##

Story
“Hi, my name is Sif! I used to be an outdoor kitty, but I find the indoors suit me well. Since I was outdoors, my humans aren't sure how old I am, but the nice vet who fixed me up thought I may be about 6 years old. I love exploring, and I adjust very well to new people but not so much to other pets. My foster home has two big dogs and another kitty, but I try to steer clear of them. I am an adaptable cat, but I think I would like a house with no other pets and no kids the best. I love to spend time with my caretakers though, and playtime is a must. I’m very energetic and love to run around the house! My only rule is that I like to keep my 4 paws on the ground. If you have to pick me up, make sure to reward me with extra treats and head scratches. If I’m not playing with my toys, you’ll likely find me sitting right next to you in any room you choose but preferably on the couch because that’s my favorite spot. I’ll probably follow you around the house too! Can’t wait to meet you :)” ##2032819##

Story
Hi! My name is Fran. I came from horrendous conditions where there were about 100 cats living in one home. When I was found, my eyes were infected and filled with pus. Ultimately I had to have my eyes removed - and I feel so much better now! I can’t see anything, but that doesn’t stop me! I’m currently living in a one bedroom apartment and learned to navigate very quickly. The vet thinks I’m a few years old, but I definitely have lots of energy! I absolutely love to play and hunt my toys - mice, springs, balls - you name it, I love it! I love to chase and play with my kitty foster sibling when she lets me. I am very talkative when I’m in play mode and will chirp and meow to let you know how excited I am! Even though I am fully grown, I am a petite girl - only 5 pounds - so your dream of having a “kitten” forever can come true if you adopt me!    Because I came from such a scary situation, I can be shy at times. But when I warm up you will love having me around. I am not a lap cat, but I enjoy being out and about and close to my humans once I’m comfortable. When everything is totally calm and quiet (i.e. my foster mom goes to bed) I LOVE to get up there and snuggle right in against her for the night!    I would prefer my new home to be a more quiet home (no small kids) because I do get nervous at times. And I absolutely need to have at least one energetic kitty friend in my new home. Because of my blindness, I think I’d prefer to be in a smaller home or apartment or would need to be with someone who will be patient in letting me learn parts of the home gradually. I also love to eat, but I do take a supplement every day and prefer a specific food to keep my tummy happy!    Who wants to give me a chance and see how amazing life with a blind kitty can be?!  ##1948576##

Story
Happy is a wonderful loving and quiet cat. I took her in when she was about 8 months old. She has been spayed and has all shots that are required for kittens. Happy is roughly 6 years old. She is mainly gray with hints of white and cream. Liter box trained. She has lived with another cat and a dog and she never had a problem with either. Happy is overall a very healthy cat. She is shy to new people and often hides when guests come over.
