Peter is a 2–4 year old Chihuahua mix who found his way to us completely by chance. His finder had nowhere else to turn, and from the moment he arrived, this sweet boy has been nothing but a joy. A little shy at first, Peter quickly blossomed into a spunky, affectionate, and incredibly smart pup. He’s an absolute A+ student and genuinely loves learning. The resilience he’s shown along the way has been inspiring, and this little guy truly gives everything his all. Peter recently underwent a successful FHO surgery on his hip and is currently healing beautifully in a loving foster home, where he’s thriving alongside his fellow Chihuahua friends. He’s showing us every day just how tough and adaptable he is, all while soaking up comfort, routine, and companionship. Peter is the kind of dog who quietly works his way into your heart and stays there. He’s gentle, loving, and ready for a life filled with safety, consistency, and someone who will adore him just as much as he’ll adore them. (Tiny) Timmy is an adorable two-year-old chihuahua/pit mix who packs all the love and personality of a big dog into one charming little package! He found himself on the county's euthanasia list due to a fractured femur but fate had other plans for our little friend. We swooped in—just in the nick of time!—to rescue this precious boy and get him the urgent medical care he needed. Timmy is now living his best life as a triumphant tripod. Free from pain and full of life, this resilient little warrior doesn't let anything slow him down. His wagging tail and bouncy spirit tell the story of a pup who's overcome the odds with a smile on his adorable face! Timmy adores dogs of all shapes and sizes. He's a master at making canine companions feel loved and appreciated! While he's a natural with children and their playful energy, this sweet boy can be a bit shy when meeting new grown-ups or exploring unfamiliar places. Don't worry though—with a little patience and lots of gentle encouragement, Timmy's confidence will blossom. This clever little gentleman has already mastered the complicated arts of crate-training and potty-training—no small feat. We're certain he'll continue making impressive progress with his other training adventures as he settles into a loving forever home away from the shelter environment.
