Bean was found in Arcadia, not microchipped and malnourished. I have been fostering her for since the end of May. She is the sweetest little pup who has gained so much confidence since being in my home. Bean is a bit shy at first but once she gets to know her new owner she will open up and be the biggest love bug. She loves catch, snuggles and walks. Bean loves to play with both of my dogs and cat. She is about 1.5 years old according to the vet and 12lbs. Her ideal owner would have a job where they work from home or can check in throughout the day. She does great in the kennel at night for sleeping. I want to be able to place her in a stable and loving home. The adoption fee will go to Desert Tails Animal Rescue for funds towards current animals in the shelter. They have sponsored Bean while she has been in my care. Life had not been kind, but through it all, Sol held on. Since coming into our care, Sol has slowly started to feel safe, and with that safety, her personality has truly begun to shine. She has also successfully completed a professional board-and-train program, where she continued building confidence, learned valuable skills, and blossomed into the wonderful dog she is today. There's something undeniably joyful about Sol. She has a bright, happy spirit that's contagious, always ready to greet the day with enthusiasm and a wagging tail. Whether she's exploring, playing, or simply soaking up time with her people, Sol brings a fun, lighthearted energy wherever she goes. Peter is a 2–4-year-old Chihuahua mix who found his way to Sky Sanctuary completely by chance. After being found running the streets, his finder had nowhere else to turn, so Peter came into our care and from the moment he arrived, this little guy has been stealing hearts. Peter has truly blossomed with us. He’s spunky, affectionate, incredibly intelligent, and always eager to learn. An A+ student, Peter thrives with structure, consistency, and positive reinforcement. Watching his confidence grow has been such a rewarding experience, and his resilience throughout everything he’s been through has been nothing short of inspiring. Peter also arrived with an orthopedic injury that required a Femoral Head Ostectomy (FHO) surgery. He underwent the procedure successfully and has worked incredibly hard through his rehabilitation. He graduating from physical therapy and continues to get stronger every day. His determination and adaptability have been amazing to watch, and he never lets anything slow him down for long. But beyond everything Peter has overcome, he’s simply a really wonderful little dog. He’s loyal, loving, playful, and happiest when he’s included in whatever his people are doing. Whether he’s learning something new, soaking up affection, showing off how smart he is, or curling up beside his favorite person, Peter just wants to be part of the family. Peter has come such a long way, and now he’s ready for the part of his story we’ve been waiting for a family of his own.
