Meet Jasper, the Persian treasure of Phoenix! 🐾 Hey there, I am a little ball of joy and boundless energy rolled into one fluffy package. I may have been found running solo in Phoenix, but now I'm on the hunt for my forever home! Since January, I've been in foster care where they've pampered me silly. I've had my "snip-snip," got all my shots, chipped for safety, and even had a dental spa day! Now, I'm all set and ready to charm my way into your heart. My foster mama says I'm a real go-getter, and I can't argue with that. A secure yard would be paw-some for me—I love to zoom around, exploring every nook and cranny. But when the playtime's over, there's nothing I love more than snuggling up with my favorite humans, showering them with love and cuddles. Figit is a long-legged beauty who joined us recently from the Humane Society of Yuma. She's about a year old and 20-21 pounds (most of that is her legs!). She can be shy for a moment, but once she warms up, she very affectionate, and generous with kisses! She has good leash manners, and is working on confidence with doorways. She definitely follows her nose, and might have fun learning scent work! Juergens is a very handsome 4-month-old Chihuahua/Terrier mix. If you are looking for a playful and loyal companion, he is the perfect boy for you! He is very smart and curious about the world around him. He would be the perfect companion for someone who is able to give him the time and attention he needs as he continues to grow. While he’s an indoor dog, he also needs a home with a safely fenced yard to run and play in with his family. He is not suited for apartment/condo/mobile home/town home living. If there are children in the home, it’s preferable that they’re over the age of 7 years as they have impulse control. Juergens is neutered, current on his puppy vaccines, including Rabies, dewormed, vet checked, micro chipped, and licensed with Maricopa County. I can't keep him permanently, because i already have two dogs and there is a limit where I live. He is a healthy senior who is already neutered. He is very sweet and affectionate. Ralph is an 8-year-old long haired Chihuahua mix. He is a big lover, and nothing makes him happier than to cuddle up with you on a nice warm blanket on the couch. He loves to follow you around the house like a little puppy and will happily follow you outside. To Ralph, being with his person 24/7 is what life’s all about. Ralph would prefer being the only pet in the household. He previously lived with other dogs his size and he currently lives with a very sweet Shih Tzu and cat, but Ralph can be a bit jealous and really prefers to be the center of attention. Not an overly active pup, Ralph enjoys spending a significant amount of time sleeping on the couch. He is a little hard of hearing and can startle easily if he doesn’t know you are there. Being the drama king that he is, he does prefer that he be lifted off the couch even though he is perfectly capable of jumping off. lol He recently had dental work which removed the last of his 3 remaining teeth. He eats wet food but can eat a little dry kibble. His foster mom reports that he is a very messy eater, pulling his food out of his dish. He’ll look up at you as if to say, “hey, you would do the same if you didn’t have any teeth!”. Ralph is a heartworm survivor. He successfully completed heartworm treatment last month. He and another dog from the same family were diagnosed when we pulled them from the shelter in September of last year. He did very well and tested negative in January. We do recommend that his adopter keep up with heartworm preventatives and do annual heartworm testing. With all our rescues, Ralph has been fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He has gone through our Senior Animal Wellness Program which provides a more thorough exam due to his senior status. He has additionally been tested for tick fever, had a urinalysis and x-rays. Medical records will be provided upon adoption.
