Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Tater Tot!   Don’t let her small size fool you—Tater Tot is bursting with personality! This adorable Chiweenie (a Chihuahua and Dachshund mix) is about three months old and already full of spunk, sass, and charm. At around 10 pounds, she may be little, but she definitely knows how to make her presence known!  Tater Tot is an energetic pup who loves to stay busy and be part of the action. She’s playful, curious, and always ready for her next adventure. True to her bold personality, she can be a bit bossy with other dogs—even ones much bigger than her! Because of this, she’ll benefit from continued guidance and training to help her grow into a well-mannered companion.  This lively girl is looking for an active person or family who can keep up with her energy and commit to helping her learn and thrive. With time, patience, and consistency, Tater Tot is sure to become an amazing lifelong companion.  Tater Tot came to Pet Rescue By Judy all the way from Puerto Rico, where she and her mom, Honey, were found living on the streets. While her mom has already found her forever home, now it’s Tater Tot’s turn to find a loving family of her own.   Important Information for New Puppy Parents  Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience—but it also comes with important responsibilities. To help your puppy grow into a happy, confident, and well-adjusted adult dog, dedication to obedience training, socialization, and consistent potty training is essential.  We strongly recommend that the entire family participates in puppy training classes. This not only helps build a strong bond with your new pup but also ensures that everyone is using the same commands and techniques, creating a clear and consistent environment for learning.  **Puppies thrive with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement—and so do their families! Let’s set them up for a lifetime of love and success  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 8, 2026, 12:21 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Looking for a loyal little shadow who loves cuddles and kisses? Liora might be your perfect match! This affectionate 4-year-old Chihuahua mix is happiest when she’s close to her person and would love a home where she can share lots of snuggles and cozy naps.   Liora’s Highlights: •  Very affectionate and loves giving kisses •  Knows sit, stay, and stop • Crate trained • Enjoys enrichment games and treat puzzles • Loves being near her person and cuddling     ------------------------------------------------------------------3/6 foster update: Liora, called Pookie, weighs just over 20 pounds and has a sturdy little build, making her a wonderful medium-size companion. She is a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix with a beautiful sable coat with big brown eyes. She is well behaved and not destructive—she doesn’t chew on things she shouldn’t and is very easy to live with. She is very sweet and loves to kiss you to show her love. That includes resting on your bare feet. She is gentle and loving and loves to cuddle with you. Her favorite thing to do is to nap alongside you. She does pull strongly on the leash, especially for a senior like me without a lot of strength. Loud outside noises (including cars zooming by) scare her, and she will suddenly pull away and can easily pull you off your feet. She’s  a smart girl who already knows several commands and is eager to please. When it’s time to relax, Liora is more than happy to curl up beside you for a nap. She is not comfortable around unfamiliar, unleashed dogs. She can pull and bark at other dogs and her that bark can turn into a growl, so we are careful not to allow her near other dogs she doesn’t know. I would recommend her as the only dog or with a calm, submissive canine. A fenced backyard to keep her safely within her boundaries would be ideal as she is startled by new sounds and people.  Liora is a gentle, loving girl whose tail is almost always wagging. She simply wants to be close to her person and share her affection. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will fill your home with love, Liora may be the perfect match for you. ALL IN ALL, she is a great dog, easy to love, gentle, loving and wants to be with you no matter what or where. We love taking care of her and hope her new owners will love her gently and fully, for she deserves a very loving home.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 8, 2026, 12:21 am

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Meet Louie, a 13 to 15-year-old, 10-pound Chihuahua with a calm, independent personality and a heart full of quiet companionship. Louie is the definition of a low-maintenance buddy—he enjoys being near his people but is happiest simply sharing space rather than being the center of attention. He’s mostly housebroken and does well with a routine. Like many seniors, he may need a quick potty break during the night if he’s crated, but he settles nicely and sleeps well otherwise. Louie is not leash trained and would do best in a home with a small, secure yard where he can comfortably go out to potty. Louie gets along with other dogs who respect his space—he’s not interested in playing and prefers a peaceful, drama-free environment. He feels the same about people: he’s not a cuddler, but he enjoys being nearby and part of your day. He’s polite in the car and travels quietly, though rides can make him a bit nervous. He has a good appetite, loves jerky treats, and brings a steady, easygoing presence to the home. Louie would thrive in a quiet household with someone who appreciates a more independent companion—think of him as your tiny, loyal roommate. Louie came to Lil Rascals when his owners were moved to a long-term care facility. He has diminished vision due to cataracts, but he can see. He can hear loud sounds only. He seems to have had a dental not too long ago, but it was discovered he has an oronasal fistula, which does not seem to be causing him any discomfort and he has no symptoms, but he will need to be fed a soft diet. Due to his age, Lil Rascals has decided not to put him through surgery for it. Louie also has stage 2 kidney disease and needs to be on a special kidney diet. Louie just needs a comfortable, quiet, all-adult home to enjoy the remainder of his days. If you believe you have the perfect home for senior boy Louie, please complete an app and tell us more about you. April 7, 2026, 10:50 pm

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Say hello to our little friend Max!  He's 100 lbs of fun packed in an 11 pound body. Max wants everyone to know he's not looking back at the awful life he lived, and knows it's all good from here. Max is an 8-year-old possible chihuahua/pug mix, and he is house trained as long as he's let out every few hours. He is crate trained but will cry a bit when closed in. He spent so much of his life locked away, he just doesn't care for it anymore. And who can blame him!  Max loves everyone and gets along with other dogs. We aren't sure about cats. He is a true snuggle bug and loves sleeping with his person at night.  Max hasn't learned to play with toys yet, but loves treats and chew bones.  He is doing very well with his learning to walk on leash.   Let's show Max life is still worth living! If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Max, complete an app and tell us more about your family. April 7, 2026, 10:50 pm

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Clint is about 6 1/2 years old and has made an incredible transformation since coming to Lil Rascals. This 13 1/2-lb. chihuahua mix came in as a fear case, but with structure, consistency and training, he’s come out of his shell in the best way—and now he’s ready for a home of his own. Clint is: • Crate trained • Walks well on leash (still a bit fearful at times, but improving!) • A toy lover—he LOVES playing fetch • Good with other dogs, especially his size or smaller • Very food motivated (which makes training fun and rewarding) Clint will do best with someone who continues to build his confidence while giving him structure and guidance. He would also do best with a playmate around his size. He’s come such a long way and is so ready for his next chapter. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Clint, complete an app and tell us more about you. Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Sydney needs a very special home. Sydney is about 3 years old and 8 lbs., and one of the most sensitive dogs our trainer has ever worked with. This chihuahua mix came in as an extreme fear case, completely terrified of leashes and the outside world. Because of that, he missed out on critical socialization and has a lot of catching up to do. The good news—he’s already making progress. Sydney is now: • Walking nicely on a leash • Comfortable in a crate (takes daily naps in there) • Learning how to exist around other dogs. He does like other dogs, but he’s still too fearful to fully engage. He’s currently learning from a well-balanced pack, which is exactly what he needs to build confidence. His house training is going great as long as he is taken out often and protocol is followed. Sydney is a MAJOR flight risk and will require a very specific home. Because of this, Lil Rascals Dog Rescue will be extremely selective with his placement. Sydney has so much potential—but he needs someone patient, structured and committed to continuing his progress. He also needs a confident companion dog around his size to help him thrive. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Sidney, complete an app and tell us more about your family. April 7, 2026, 10:50 pm
