Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Joey   Joey is a sweet Chihuahua mix—definitely larger than your typical Chihuahua—and while we’re not quite sure what other breed is in his mix, we are sure he has a gentle heart. He came to Pet Rescue By Judy after being lovingly surrendered when his owner could no longer care for him due to health reasons. Joey’s past has shaped him into a slightly shy and cautious boy. He may have been used to having just one person, and he may have spent a lot of time crated because of his owner’s limitations. The good news is that Joey does very well in a crate and finds comfort there. Even more heart-melting is how much he wants to be part of whatever is going on around him—he watches with interest and clearly wants connection, even if he’s not quite sure how to ask for it yet. Joey wants to be loved and, with a little patience and understanding, he will blossom into a devoted companion. He would do best in a calm, quiet home with no children or older, respectful children who can give him the space and reassurance he needs to build confidence and come out of his shell.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 21, 2025, 11:34 am

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Rocket is one of the happiest little chihuahuas you will ever meet. This cute 4-year-old little guy came to Lil Rascals weighing only 4 lbs., but he has now doubled his weight to more than 8 lbs. and gained tons of confidence. Rocket is super smart, and just the most cuddliest boy ever. He loves to snuggle up against you, nuzzling into your neck. He currently lives with several other fur siblings - dogs and a cat - and does great with all of them. He prefers to hang out with his fur friends and follows them during back yard explorations. But sometimes he hangs out with one of his foster sisters, who we think has a little bit of a crush on him. Rocket is house trained, and he quietly stands by the back door to indicate when he needs to go out. He has adjusted to wearing a harness, and is still a little leery of walking on a leash, but with practice he should do well. Rocket came to our rescue with limited vision, so he had a visit with our eye specialist and it was determined that he has Progressive Retinal Atrophy, in which the retina slowly deteriorates and he eventually becomes blind. His retina is much thinner than it should be and the blood vessels are tiny. This is a hereditary condition, but is not painful. Despite his condition, he is just the happiest little boy. He is extremely smart; he “sees” with his ears and nose, and quickly maps out his domain after which he has no issues navigating. He follows his fur siblings outside and he is comfortable running outside during daytime when the bright light allows him to see shadows better - just take a look at his video. He should be fed separately to keep others from eating his food. Rocket will do best an uncluttered environment, with a laid-back companion dog that will help him build his self-confidence in his new surroundings. He will come with his favorite bed and blanket.  We are requiring an adult-only home for him and a fenced yard where he can walk around freely. This sweetheart of a dog has so much love to give. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Rocket, please complete an app and tell us more about your family.   December 22, 2025, 3:00 pm

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Meet Clint - a very cute, playful and happy boy.  Clint is a 6-year-old Chi mix weighing 13 1/2 pounds. He loves playing with his foster fur buddies in the yard chasing each other and doing zoomies. Clint is so affectionate and a little kissy face. He loves to cuddle right next to you with three of his other fur friends on your lap. He just loves other dogs. He is friendly to all and respectful of their needs. He is a bubbly, good natured little guy. His greatest love is chewing on his knuckle bones and he will do anything for a treat. Clint’s house training is a work in progress, but with frequent yard outings and potty pads he is improving. He also can wear a belly band and he does poop outside. Clint is fearful and has not learned to walk on a leash as of yet, so he does need patience and training for that. And since he doesn't walk on leash yet, he does need a fenced yard so he can run and do his business. He is a good car rider, but he was in a crate at that time so we are not sure how he would do out of the crate. He sleeps quietly all night and needs to cuddle with other dogs. He would thrive in a household with fun active dogs. Clint is shy at first meeting, but warms up quickly. He is a great little dog and looks forward to his loving, forever home. He’s a little love bug. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Clint, complete an app and tell us more about you. December 22, 2025, 3:00 pm

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Meet little Miss Georgia, a 6-year-old, 11 1/2 pound chihuahua mix of pure sweetness. Georgia is a happy little girl. She has beautiful white fur and big brown eyes. She has such a kind gentleness about her. She is shy initially, but because she is so trusting she easily becomes affectionate and loving and a little cuddle bug. Georgia gets along with all her foster fur siblings. She loves to wrestle with them and run around in the yard. She loves chewing on bones and has no problem sharing them. She will need a fenced yard as she is not yet leash trained. It seems she is fearful of the leash for right now. She sleeps quietly all night with two or three of her other foster buddies all cuddled together. She loves being with them, but I think she really loves her people. She wants to be the one to sit next to you and watch TV, to get the kisses and hugs she’s so craves. Georgia’s house training is a work in progress but with frequent yard outings and potty pads she’s doing really well. She sits quietly on car rides. Georgia is a playful happy little girl. This good girl will give her people so much love and affection. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect home for Georgia, complete an app and tell us more about you.  December 22, 2025, 3:00 pm

Story
Apply to Adopt Me! This pretty little girl is named Little Girl. She weighs 8lbs. and ended up at the shelter as a stray. The shelter estimated her age at about 3 years, but she acts younger and may actually be closer to 1-2 years.  Little Girl is a medium energy dog. She loves going outside and she walks well on leash. It’s best to keep a tight hold of her leash because she can get very excited when she sees a squirrel. She redirects easily though. In spite of all that energy and excitement outside, this girl settles right down when it’s lap or TV time. She wants to be near her people and sitting on the sofa with her foster mom and fur sibling. She sleeps quietly through the night in bed with her foster mom. We would like this to continue for Little Girl in her forever home. She gets along great with her foster sibling and loves to play with her. We are preferring her forever home have a playmate around her size and energy level.  Little Girl is house trained, as long as she goes out several times a day. Little Girl is not destructive and stays free range in the home when her foster mom is gone. She rides well in a car safely tethered in so she doesn't try to get in your lap. Little Girl will bark if she senses danger and hears a noise outside. She will also bark at visitors at first but she gets wiggly and affectionate after she gets to know them. Her ideal family is one that wants a medium energy dog to take on neighborhood walks. A securely fenced yard would be great, but not needed if she can go on lots of leash walks. She has not been around kids while with our rescue, but due to her small size, she needs a home with adults or adults who have mature and respectful children. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe you have the perfect forever home for Little Girl, we’d love to find out more about you. Please complete our adoption application and we’ll see if you are Little Girl’s perfect match.  December 22, 2025, 8:10 pm
