Story
Pete and Pedro 😊are bonded “brothers”. Pete is 10 years old and weighs 18 pounds. Pedro is also 10 and weighs 14 pounds. They are both a little overweight but they are the sweetest, most lovable boys you will meet. They came to us when their owner went into assisted living and there was no one to care for them. They adapted very quickly and became little love muffins. They love attention and are very affectionate. They prefer to be the only pets. The adoption donation for the pair is $300 which includes their neuter, vaccinations, microchip. They are heartworm negative and on monthly prevention. They must be together so twice as much to love! https://www.aforeverhomeanimalrescue.org/store/p168/Pete_%26_Pedro.html We are only able to adopt within the state of Florida. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Looking for a loyal little shadow who loves cuddles and kisses? Liora might be your perfect match! This affectionate 4-year-old Chihuahua mix is happiest when she’s close to her person and would love a home where she can share lots of snuggles and cozy naps.   Liora’s Highlights: •  Very affectionate and loves giving kisses •  Knows sit, stay, and stop • Crate trained • Enjoys enrichment games and treat puzzles • Loves being near her person and cuddling     ------------------------------------------------------------------3/6 foster update: Liora, called Pookie, weighs just over 20 pounds and has a sturdy little build, making her a wonderful medium-size companion. She is a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix with a beautiful sable coat with big brown eyes. She is well behaved and not destructive—she doesn’t chew on things she shouldn’t and is very easy to live with. She is very sweet and loves to kiss you to show her love. That includes resting on your bare feet. She is gentle and loving and loves to cuddle with you. Her favorite thing to do is to nap alongside you. She does pull strongly on the leash, especially for a senior like me without a lot of strength. Loud outside noises (including cars zooming by) scare her, and she will suddenly pull away and can easily pull you off your feet. She’s  a smart girl who already knows several commands and is eager to please. When it’s time to relax, Liora is more than happy to curl up beside you for a nap. She is not comfortable around unfamiliar, unleashed dogs. She can pull and bark at other dogs and her that bark can turn into a growl, so we are careful not to allow her near other dogs she doesn’t know. I would recommend her as the only dog or with a calm, submissive canine. A fenced backyard to keep her safely within her boundaries would be ideal as she is startled by new sounds and people.  Liora is a gentle, loving girl whose tail is almost always wagging. She simply wants to be close to her person and share her affection. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will fill your home with love, Liora may be the perfect match for you. ALL IN ALL, she is a great dog, easy to love, gentle, loving and wants to be with you no matter what or where. We love taking care of her and hope her new owners will love her gently and fully, for she deserves a very loving home.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 19, 2026, 5:20 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.  Meet Fairfax – Your Adventure Buddy in the Making!Fairfax is a spunky little guy with a big personality and an even bigger zest for life! This active pup is always ready to go—whether it’s playtime in the yard, a walk around the neighborhood, or tagging along on your next adventure.  Fairfax arrived at Pet Rescue By Judy with his three brothers after being transferred from an overcrowded rescue, all in hopes of finding loving forever homes. While we don’t know their exact breed mix, we expect Fairbanks to grow into a medium-sized dog, likely around 40–50 pounds when fully grown.  With his playful energy and curious nature, Fairfax will thrive in a home that can keep up with his enthusiasm for life. He would do best with an active individual or family who can provide plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and, of course, lots of love.   Important Information for New Puppy Parents   Welcoming a new puppy into your home is an exciting and rewarding experience—but it also comes with important responsibilities. To help your puppy grow into a happy, confident, and well-adjusted adult dog, dedication to obedience training, socialization, and consistent potty training is essential.   We strongly recommend that the entire family participates in puppy training classes. This not only helps build a strong bond with your new pup but also ensures that everyone is using the same commands and techniques, creating a clear and consistent environment for learning.   **Puppies thrive with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement—and so do their families! Let’s set them up for a lifetime of love and success.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 25, 2026, 8:01 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Reese is a gentle senior girl with a heart full of love. Found as a stray, she clearly knew what it meant to be part of a family—she’s house-trained, affectionate, and happiest curled up in a cozy home. After getting dental Cleaning and having a couple of fatty lumps removed, Reese is feeling great and ready to enjoy her golden years with a family of her own. She loves people, gets along with other dogs, enjoys leisurely walks, and never says no to a good nap or a soft meal. Reese is truly a sweetheart who will make a loyal, loving companion. Reese would do well in most homes. She would especially love a family who enjoys taking her on walks, giving her plenty of attention, and letting her relax and enjoy a soft, comfy place to nap. She would be a wonderful companion for someone looking for a loving, easygoing dog. Foster Update: Reese Reese is doing wonderfully in our home. She wakes up happy each morning and enjoys her walk followed by a soft breakfast. She loves being wherever her people are, spending much of her day napping nearby with the sweetest little snores. Reese is also a hopeful beggar when food is involved! She is house-trained, gets along very well with our dog, and is eager to greet everyone she meets. Reese can whimper a bit when left home alone, but she is still settling in, and this may improve with time as she continues to feel more secure. She does well on stairs but may do better in a home without a big staircase.  Overall, Reese is a loving, gentle senior who would make an excellent companion for anyone looking for a devoted and affectionate dog.
