Meet Maxwell! Maxwell, affectionately called Max, is a 16-week-old Chihuahua mix who has mastered the important puppy skills: PLAY HARD, find the biggest stick possible, toss around some toys… and then climb into your lap for a nap! Max’s mom is a wirehaired Chihuahua mix, and his dad is a longhaired Chihuahua mix. He is expected to stay a little guy, likely around 12–15 pounds or less when fully grown. This sweet boy is affectionate, playful, and loves his people. He enjoys playing with other dogs and exploring outside, but he’s just as happy snuggling up in your lap when it’s time to recharge. Max sleeps through the night in his crate and is doing well with his crate routine. He’s still working on potty training, so his new family will need to continue helping him master that important puppy skill. Like his siblings, Max can be startled by loud noises, including thunderstorms and garbage trucks. He hasn’t been around cats, so we don’t know how he would do with them. A home with older, respectful children would likely be the best fit. Maxwell is the whole puppy package: silly, playful, affectionate, and always ready for his next adventure. Meet Piper, an adorable girl who is around three years old and weighs about 13 pounds. Piper found herself in a local shelter after being seized by authorities in a horrific hoarding case. Due to her lack of socialization, she was at risk for euthanasia. Thankfully, Tiny Paws was able to step up and save her! Due to her past, Piper is a nervous girl and is still learning how to trust, love, and feel safe in this world! Piper’s journey in her foster home hasn’t always been easy, but she’s made great progress. She is still very skittish and easily startled, so she’s looking for an experienced, calm, and understanding adopter who can continue the gentle, patient care she’s been receiving in her foster home. She enjoys snuggling and playing with her foster siblings and we would love to see her go to a home with a confident dog around her size to help show her the ropes! What Piper needs most is a consistent environment where she can continue to blossom at her own pace. With time, love, and patience, we know this sweet girl will continue to shine! Piper is not comfortable on a leash and will require a secure, private fenced-in yard where she can safely play, explore, and potty. Due to her skittish nature, she would not do well in a home with children or with frequent young visitors. Hi, I’m Bandit! I’m a gentle, laid back guy looking for a family who will give me a little time to settle in and feel safe. I can be shy at first, but once I’m comfortable, I’m all about cuddles, belly rubs, and naps on the couch. Before long, I`ll be greeting you with tails wags and tippy taps. I’ll happily curl up in your lap while you work, and when I’m really relaxed, you might even hear me snore. The cutest is when I`m sleeping in one of my favorite spots and my little tongue is out.I’ve done well around cats (even when they eat my food) and could live with other animals with patient introductions. My leash manners are great, I haven`t been barking in my foster home, and if you take me out to potty regularly, I won`t have accidents.
