Story
Sweet old girl in need of a quiet home without children or other dogs. Lulu loves cuddles on her own terms. She is very much a little old lady. I took lulu in from a friend when they moved and couldn’t take her with them. She was used to being outside all the time. I have kept her inside since I’ve had her, she is trained to puppy pads and loves to go outside. Easy to leash walk! She is very skittish of kids and stays away from my other two small dogs. She does like cuddling with my cat. I recently had to move and I now keep a 2yr old in my home and she is just not her happiest self. I just want her to be able to be happy for however many years that she has left. She seems to be in really good health for her age.

Story
Meet Tempest – The Sweetest Sleepy Princess You'll Ever Meet Tempest is the kind of dog who makes herself at home the moment she walks through the door. Within minutes of arriving at her foster home, she was curled up in a blanket, snoozing like royalty—earning her the nickname “sleepy princess.” She’s all about being close to her humans and has shown nothing but love and trust, even toward new people and men. If you’ve ever dreamed of a dog to curl up with in your reading nook or join you on the couch for a wine-and-binge night, Tempest is your girl. She’s perfectly content as a lap dog and would make a gentle, loving companion for individuals, couples, or even families—she’s shown no signs of aggression or fear and seems like she’d do well with respectful kids and other dogs. Tempest is housebroken, shows no food or toy guarding, and isn’t destructive at all. While she’ll bark at knocks or doorbells, she’s not an excessive barker. She does whine a bit when someone leaves, but she settles quickly. Crating isn’t her thing—she gets stressed and tries to escape—so her ideal home would be with someone who works from home or has a hybrid schedule. She thrives on being near her people and sticks to a reliable potty schedule of 8am, 12pm, 5pm, and 9:30pm. Tempest is the whole package: affectionate, well-mannered, and full of quiet charm. All she’s missing is a cozy home and a human (or two) to adore. Could that be you? Put in an application to meet her today!

Story
Please contact ADOPTION (adopt@doggieharmony.org) for more information about this pet. Tails is a laid-back, friendly little guy who seems to adjust well in almost any environment. He gets along with people and other animals and doesn’t require much beyond love, attention, and a calm space. He’d thrive in a home that enjoys a quiet companion with a sweet temperament. He’s easygoing, gentle, and just wants to be part of a loving home. While he doesn't appear to have a prey drive, he does show interest in chasing cats, maybe for entertainment but depending on the cat, this may be stressful. He understands several simple commands like “go to bed,” “go in your cage,” and coming inside when called. He definitely knows what’s being asked—though, he sometimes follows through in his own time. He also does well on a leash and enjoys going for walks. He’s responsive, attentive, and has adapted well to household routines. Age: 7 years Weight: 10 lbs Temperament: Gets along with dogs, older respectful kids Training: Housetrained, crate-trained, knows several commands Vetting: neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, heartworm testing to be scheduled Email for questions:    jennine77@gmail.com To ensure we're meeting both pet and adopters' needs, we ask potential adopters to complete an Adoption Application (www.bit.ly/DH-Adoption) for caretakers to review. Once your application is approved, we will bring the adoptable pet to your home for a preliminary visit. We are 100% donation-funded and our fees are equivalent to (or less than) the cost to fully vet a new dog yourself. April 2, 2025, 4:42 pm
