Story
MPMR requires that all dogs in the home are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and on heartworm prevention unless a dog has a verifiable medical reason as to why this cannot be done. Immie Estimated 9.5 years old 18 lbs Chihuahua/Terrier mix Fully vetted to include a dental If you look up "Velcro" and "glue" in the dictionary, Immie's picture would be there. She loves her people and is someone's constant shadow. Immie is the perfect, gentle girl. She was never reclaimed from animal control, and the reasoning behind that is unfathomable to us as she was clearly loved in the past. Immie is house trained, calm, walks nicely on a leash, and gets along with other dogs. She has shown no aggressive tendencies towards cats either or any desire to chase. Immie loves food. She came to us very overweight, so her new owner will need to understand keeping portions and treats controlled is important as she has a bit of arthritis in her legs. Because of this, she chooses not to jump on furniture and hasn't figured out the steps. However, she will dance on her back legs to be picked up. She would gladly sleep with her person and likes burrowing under blankets. Immie had a dental, and 13 teeth were removed. In the process, we learned some of the teeth were dead, and combining that with her odd use of the front right leg, it is possible she sustained some kind of injury to that side of her body in the past. Because she has some initial separation anxiety somewhere new and can be vocal, apartment life may not be suitable unless someone works from home. This does subside within a few weeks. If interested in adopting Immie, please complete our adoption application which can be found at this link. Please note it may need to be copied and pasted. http://tinyurl.com/mpmrapp Email mpmrgeorgia@gmail.com with any additional questions.

Story
**Home for the Holidays adoption special.  Half price adoption fee through December 31st     Leah Lady is a 12-year-old 14lb Terrier mix. Leah Lady is very sassy and alpha and doesn’t act her age. She’s timid and skittish when meeting new people and needs time to warm up. But what a love once she’s comfortable. She is house-trained in her foster home and does well in her crate. Her hearing is excellent, and she is a barker. In the yard, she runs around barking at birds and any neighbor or their dog that happens to appear. She also barks at Thunder!! Lady can not live in an apartment or condo.  The lady appears to have had little socialization and enjoys her new experiences, especially walking. Younger children make her nervous. She does better with teens, but it takes time.  She would do fine as an only dog. She’s very affectionate, and it’s all about her. I have two other dogs, and she wants a lot of attention. Lady loves toys but doesn’t like to share, and neither does my other foster, so unfortunately, there are no toys. She doesn’t resource guard with me but apparently will with another dog. She may be okay with another dog, depending on its disposition. She likes my other dog, and there are no issues with it, but he’s 14.  Lady is blind in her left eye from a large cataract. She sees well out of her right eye, though there is also a smaller cataract in the left eye. The pressure in the left eye will need to be monitored. She also had a mammary tumor removed with her spay. It was cancerous, but the margins were clear, and her chest X-ray was good. This will also need to be monitored. The frequency should be every 6 to 12 months, depending on the adopter's vet’s best practice.   An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
Bruce Barrow is a 6-year-old, 11.5 pound, small mixed breed (maybe Min Pin - Chihuahua - terrier?) whose soft spirit makes him impossible not to love. He came to AAU rescue a bit underweight, and should fill out to around 14 pounds with steady meals and kindness.   Shy at first meeting, Bruce is the kind of dog who watches the world carefully before deciding it’s safe. Give him a little time, and his whole demeanor transforms. Once he trusts you, he becomes sweet, gentle, and oh-so-affectionate. Pick him up, and he just melts right into your arms like he’s been waiting his whole life for a person to hold him close.   Bruce Barrow would thrive in a calm, patient home that understands the magic of slow introductions and soft encouragement. He doesn’t need loud or busy - he just needs someone who will let him blossom at his own pace.   If you’re looking for a tender-hearted companion, who will reward your kindness with deep, loyal love,  Bruce Barrow is ready to meet you. Story
Meet Biscuit! Hi everyone, I’m looking for a loving new home for my dog, Biscuit. This has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but I believe it is what’s best for him so he can thrive in the right environment. *MUST BE A SMOKE-FREE HOME Age: 1 yr 3 mths (DOB 10/4/24) Sex: Male Breed: Pomeranian Weight: ~22 lbs Health: * Up to date on vaccines * Simparica Trio for fleas, ticks and heart-worm - monthly * Neutered * Microchipped Ideal Home: Biscuit would do best in a home with a fenced yard where he could run around, someone who is home often, no small children, an active family, and no likely other pets. He is crate-trained and uses pee pads while we are not home but will go potty outside. He will come with a lot of supplies including crate, bed, food, bones, and more if needed. *If you are interested in Biscuit, you MUST be willing to meet him first in person to see how you both interact - we want to make sure it's the right fit Location: Duluth, GA
