Story
Pancho is a 10-year-old rescue from Colorado with a gentle spirit and a big heart. He comes from a difficult past, so he’s looking for a home filled with love, patience, and calm. Once he feels safe, Pancho blossoms, he’s incredibly sweet, loyal in his own quiet way, and loves companionship on his timeline. He enjoys relaxing on his own, lounging around the house, and his absolute favorite… sunbathing. Give him a sunny spot and he’s in heaven. Pancho would thrive in a peaceful home, and he does well with other dogs, especially small dogs or calm, older big dogs. With the right family, he’ll continue to build his confidence and show just how loving he can be. If you’re looking for a gentle, low-key companion who just wants a safe place to land, Pancho is your guy. 💛

Story
Meet Irving! Sweet little Irving was surrendered to RMG when his owner found themselves in some very unfortunate circumstances and unable to care for him.   Irving was a bit timid when he first arrived at his foster home but quickly learned that Foster Mom's lap was a pretty comfy spot to curl up and decompress after all the changes he had been through. He's been great with all of the other dogs and cats in his foster home and really enjoys making new dog friends - especially the girls! Irving is great on leash and loves going for a nice stroll on these lovely sunny days.  We aren't totally sure what the first few years of his life were like, but we are pretty certain a man (or men) was very unkind to him at some point because Irving does have a healthy fear of men. We are working on that in his foster home, but for now, Irving will need an all female home. Irving will also need another female dog in his home to help him feel comfortable and settle in Interested in adopting this sweet little man? Story
Meet Sadie! Our sweet Sadie girl was so so scared and shut down when she first arrived to RMG! She was found living in a storm drain in a very rural part of Georgia. We have no idea what her previous life was like, but we know it wasn’t nice! After several months of patience and TLC from her foster mom, Sadie has learned to love and trust again - especially if you offer her a soft warm blanket to burrow in and a spot in bed next to you! Sadie is a petite little Chi mix - less than 10 lbs and around 10 yrs old. She gets along nicely with other dogs and cats, but she’s decided she prefers calm and quiet in her Golden Years so she’d do just fine as an only dog. Her dream retirement home would be in a quiet household, maybe with someone recently retired who is looking for a new best friend. Someone she can snuggle up with at night and who will let her laze around and sun bathe during the day.  What do you think? Does that sound like you? Story
MPMR requires that all dogs in the home are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and on heartworm prevention unless a dog has a verifiable medical reason as to why this cannot be done. Immie Estimated 9.5 years old 18 lbs Chihuahua/Terrier mix Fully vetted to include a dental If you look up "Velcro" and "glue" in the dictionary, Immie's picture would be there. She loves her people and is someone's constant shadow. Immie is the perfect, gentle girl. She was never reclaimed from animal control, and the reasoning behind that is unfathomable to us as she was clearly loved in the past. Immie is house trained, calm, walks nicely on a leash, and gets along with other dogs. She has shown no aggressive tendencies towards cats either or any desire to chase. Immie loves food. She came to us very overweight, so her new owner will need to understand keeping portions and treats controlled is important as she has a bit of arthritis in her legs. Because of this, she chooses not to jump on furniture and hasn't figured out the steps. However, she will dance on her back legs to be picked up. She would gladly sleep with her person and likes burrowing under blankets. Immie had a dental, and 13 teeth were removed. In the process, we learned some of the teeth were dead, and combining that with her odd use of the front right leg, it is possible she sustained some kind of injury to that side of her body in the past. Because she has some initial separation anxiety somewhere new and can be vocal, apartment life may not be suitable unless someone works from home. This does subside within a few weeks. Story
I got Chloe when she was just 6 months old during the pandemic, and she has truly been the best companion I could’ve ever asked for. We’ve been through so much together, and it breaks my heart to say that due to life circumstances, I’m no longer able to give her the level of care she deserves. Chloe is up to date on her rabies vaccine but has not been able to get her other annual shots this year due to financial difficulty. She needs a home that can match her energy, be patient with her, and give her the proper training, consistency, and care she needs to thrive. Her personality is one of a kind she loves being a couch potato, gets the occasional zoomies, and can be hilariously petty when she doesn’t get her way. I’ve tried everything with potty training; she listens when she wants to, but if she’s upset, she might pop a squat to express her feelings. With the right training and routine, I truly believe she can improve.

Story
Joey is a sweet boy that loves being with his owner and having his head petted. He loves snuggling on the couch and laying under blankets because he gets cold easily. He does not like being left alone and can be barky as a result. For this reason, he is not ideal in an apartment or condo. He is good with smaller dogs once he acclimates, but is fearful of larger dogs. He can be nervous and requires a calm owner and predictable routines. I adopted Joey when he was six and have been his owner for five years. Even though he is 11 years old, he has a lot of energy, likes to play fetch with small plushies, and likes his daily walks. I recently had to return to working from my office this has not been beneficial to him as I am away for long hours. I feel he would be better served in a home with people around for most of the day.
