Story
Meet Ebony! Ebony is about 9 years old, 3 lbs, and she likely has some Chihuahua in her mix! In her foster home, she is working hard on her house-training, crate training and does well on leash. She could go to a home with other small dogs and older children. No cats please! She ideally needs someone who is home most of the day. She is very barky and scared of men so no apartments please. Her foster says, `Ebony is a tiny, adorable dog. She may act a bit aggressive to new people, but she means no harm. She is just not sure if she is safe, and trying to protect herself. Given her size, who can blame her! Once she knows she can trust you, it is a breeze - she will let you cut nails, brush teeth, give a bath - and of course cuddles all day long if you let her. She does not require a lot of activities, rather enjoys a quiet house with her favorite people. She is small enough to put in your pocketbook and carry with you everywhere - and she would love that. She can be your only or live with dog siblings.`She is available for adoption in Hopkinton by appointment. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.-Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.-Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at browndogcoalition.com

Story
Munch is a fun and playful pup looking for a loving home. He was taken away from his previous owner after he was neglected and starved. Munch was fostered and returned to health by the local animal control officer who rescued him. He’s a happy, healthy, playful pup, eager to find his forever family. He is approximately five years old, and he weighs 25 lbs. His breed mix is a bit of a mystery—though his previous owner claimed he’s part Chihuahua, it’s clear he must be mixed with something larger. With his energy and love for adventure, Munch is searching for a family who can provide plenty of daily mental and physical activity. He loves to go for walks, play outside, and run around our fenced area. He likes other dogs but has a rough-and-tumble play style that not every dog enjoys. He got along very well with the cat in his foster home. Munch can be mouthy when he gets excited, so we are looking for a home with older kids. He has had all of his vet care and is ready for adoption. If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our dog adoption application here: http://medfieldshelter.com/adopt. Our adoption fee for dogs ages 7 months - 7 years is $450. Dogs 8 years and up are $250. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash. With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both. All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.

Story
Cici is a worried little lady looking for a special home. She did not have many new experiences before coming to us, so new people and places can be very overwhelming for this pint sized pup. Cici is looking for a quiet home that can give her time to warm up at her own pace. Once she adjusts to her new home and family we think she`ll be a sweet and social girl with her inner circle. Cici has lived with another dog before and could likely live with a well matched friend again. She did had bladder stones that needed to be removed and could potentially require a prescription diet to help prevent more from forming. Cici will need a good relationship with a Fear Free veterinarian to help keep her happy and healthy! If you think this dog could be a good match for your home and would like to learn more, stop by our Boston Adoption Center. We have open adoption hours Tuesday-Sunday from 12pm-3pm no appointment needed to speak to a staff person regarding available dogs. Preparing your home for your new dog or puppy ahead of time can help ease the transition for your new pet and set you both up for success should there be a dog thats a good match! To learn more about how to make the first few weeks with your new dog or puppy the most successful it can be, please visit www.mspca.org/petresources. For more information on our adoption process, please visit https://www.mspca.org/adoption-centers/how-to-adopt/ Please note, in an effort to keep the stress levels reduced for the dogs in our care, our dog kennel areas will not be open to walk through. Interested adopters will work with a matchmaker on staff to determine which dog(s) theyre interested in - and if we can identify a match, potential adopters will be able to meet those dogs outside of the kennel. Cat and small animal areas will remain open to walk through.
