Story
Name: birdie Approx DOB: 1 year old Breed:chiweenie Current size: 13lbs Size potential: full grown Leash trained: na Crate Trained: yes Potty trained: mostly  Kids: yes loves them  Other animals: she is good with dogs not cat tested but doesn’t have a prey drive  Energy level: medium  House or apartment:either but a house with yard access could help her potty training  Story/backgrounds: bird Birdie was found seeking shelter on a porch with her sibling. Sadly, her sibling didn’t survive, but Birdie held on and fought for her chance. She came to us with severe skin issues and an infected tooth, both caused by neglect and life on the streets. After medical care, healing, and lots of love, Birdie is now spayed, healthy, and ready for a fresh start. She’s a gentle, resilient girl who has already survived more than any dog should—and she’s ready to trade street life for couch life.Birdie is looking for a safe, loving home where she’ll never have to struggle again.  A home filled with love and adventure because she deserves to see the world with a different perspective. One where people are kind and loving. ##2656677##

Story
Lilo and Stitch are two very tiny Chihuahua puppies who were turned in to an already over-crowded rescue in Louisiana. They weigh 2 and 3 lbs. and may need to stay together for a few weeks. They would be too fragile for a home with small ones or where they may be stepped on. Chihuahua or small dog experience is a must and we want to keep them local to Sudbury for post-adoption support. Please apply at https://www.saveadog.org/applytoadopt.asp, and someone will get right back to you.

Story
PLEASE NOTE: This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to Massachusetts shortly with no additional travel costs. Roughly 90% of our dogs are adopted prior to their transport up to MA and 10% are adopted locally.Meet Penny! Penny is approximately 5 years, 8 lbs and likely has some chihuahua in her mix! In her foster home, she is doing great with house-training, has not been crated and has minimal experience walking on leash, She could go to a home with other dogs, and kids 10+. No apartments please due to barking. Her foster says, `If you are searching for a pint sized bestie that won`t get fur all over your furniture or bed Penny is your gal! She likes dog beds, blankies, and funny enough shelves with blankies are her favorite. She does not jump on the furniture and will not stay in my bed at night at all. Penny will pull at your heart strings with her bestest sad puppy face when you leave, but will always greet you with the cutest little dance and tail wag when you come home to her! She would do great in a home where she could be the main attraction! She will be your fierce lion, and your most favorite dinner date. Penny does have an opinion, and a voice. She expresses her knowledge of both regularly. Unless your neighbors are far away, Penny was not made for apartment/condo dwelling. Penny would be fine with some Fresh air therapy, but would like to keep her therapy sessions to a minimum, unless you don`t mind carrying her. Now, for her sake I would like whoever picks her sweet little face, that if you are that person who likes to carry and hold and walk around with and do everything with your buddy kind of person, and don`t mind some conversations, you are going to be the perfect person for her. She absolutely LOVES if you just hold her and walk around with her in your arms/arm/hand/would probably love a little puppy carrier that goes over your shoulders. Penny does just fine when introduced to other dogs, shes just not a player with dogs.`She is available for adoption in N Dartmouth on February 27th. Please fill out an application on our website at https://www.browndogcoalition.com/adoptable as a first step.- Dogs may not be given as gifts or surprises.- Please thoughtfully discuss with your entire household the physical, safety, financial and emotional responsibilities of a dog BEFORE applying to adopt.- More information about our adoption process, application and adoption fees can be found at br

Story
🌷 Meet Cory & Paloma — Two Sweet Seniors Looking for One Forever Home Cory is a loving senior Chihuahua with a calm, affectionate personality and a serious talent for cuddling. She adores being close to her people, whether that means curling up under a blanket or snoozing beside you on the couch. Cory adjusts a bit more easily than Paloma, and her relaxed presence helps her best friend feel safe and secure. Like Paloma, Cory is a gentle sweetheart who thrives in a peaceful home where she can enjoy soft beds, quiet days, and lots of love. The two girls are deeply bonded and must be adopted together — they’ve spent their lives side by side and find comfort in each other’s presence. If you’re looking to open your heart to two loving senior souls who will fill your home with warmth, calm, and endless cuddles, Cory & Paloma are ready to share their golden years with you. 💕🐾
