Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Dino, aka "Dino the Bambino" - the most adorable and friendly dog you'll ever come across! He's a mix of Chihuahua and terrier(we think), around 2 years old and weighs 20 pounds. He's all set and excited to find his new loving home! This playful and goofy pup is simply handsome! He enjoys spending time with other dogs, and you can always find him outside playing with them. Dino loves to cuddle with his furry friends as well. He is fine with cats, but he is just naturally curious about them. Dino has already mastered crate training, and he's currently working hard on learning how to walk on a leash. Although he still has a bit of work to do, he's shown great progress, and his determination is truly impressive. Dino is looking for an active person or family who will give him a warm and loving home. He is excited for some warm weather too!  With his wagging tail and infectious joy, Dino is sure to bring a smile to anyone's face! Dino is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm. His adoption fee is $450 Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 27, 2024, 9:03 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Handsome Thomas is available for adoption!  He is a long hair merle chihuahua, 6-7 years old and 7 pounds.   Thomas was acquired from a breeder and is still in the process of learning how to be a pet. Due to this, he can be timid and uncertain around people. However, he is not aggressive in any way. Although he allows people to pick him up, he does not actively seek affection from them. It is best for Thomas to be in a home with another dog, as this would provide him with a companion to learn from and keep him company. He tends to bond with female dogs. Despite his small size, he has a spirited personality and can become the boss dog once he becomes comfortable in his surroundings. Not aggressive but just bossy! Thomas is not yet leash-trained, but he enjoys spending time outdoors in his foster home's fully fenced yard when the weather is good. While he does not venture outside on his own, he is capable of coming back inside by himself. Thomas is not housetrained, so he has accidents in his foster home. However, he can wear a belly band if necessary. It is best for Thomas to be in a home that has experience with small dogs so that he can continue to grow and thrive. Thomas is neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, flea/worm treated and tested neg. for heartworm.  He has also been professionally groomed. His adoption fee is $400Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 27, 2024, 9:03 am

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.I have been trying to post this little boy for more than a week and just do not know what to say about his breed.  His mother is an 11 pound, 4 year old Chihuahua.  She was picked up from the streets after giving birth in a field.  I got her and the 2 boys when they were just 1 week old.  They have been in my home thriving greatly. Since momma was out in the streets we do not know who daddy is, sorry.  Bobby is 4.6 pounds and 9 weeks old.  He does favor mom.  He is 2 pounds lighter than his brother Boots.  I have included a picture of mom. They play constantly and love when I let them out of the puppy play pen to play with the bigger dogs.  They run zoomies all around the living room.   These are very very good and loving puppies and should make great family pets whatever they are mixed with. Both boys have had 2 vaccinations and due their 3rd one next week so they will come fully vaccinated, neutered, dewormed and microchipped.  They are too young right now for a rabies. We transport to most state across the country.  Thank you for looking. If interested, please submit an application on our website at www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         March 17, 2024, 11:04 am

Story
ADOPTED!!! This cute little nugget is Henry.  He is 3 years old and weighs 10 pounds and will not get any bigger.  Henry is a sweetheart, loves to cuddle and he is a quiet Chihuahua.  You hardly know that he is there.  He gets along with all of the other foster dogs in the home big and small.  And he is okay with cats. He walks well on a leash and does not get car sick.  Henry would love to snuggle up with you and be your best buddy.  He is very low maintenance on a daily basis.  He has been medically vetted and his medical records come with him at the time of adoption. Story
This guy cracks his foster mom up.  Although he is playful with the other foster dogs in the home, Calvin acts as if he is the stepdad to everyone.  He does not tolerate any fussing among the dogs as he thinks he is the only one that can do the fussing.  He can be grouchy sometimes.  He still loves to be held and cuddle up next to you for some love. Calvin is 3 years old and 15 pounds.  We are not sure what he is mixed up but he will not grow anymore.  This touch guy is a heartworm survivor.  We pulled Calvin from our city's very high kill shelter when no one wanted him because he was heartworm positive.  His foster mom is glad she pulled him and saved his life as he has been a good houseguest.  He has successfully gone through 2 treatments to get rid of those pesky heartworms.  Calvin is ready for his own home now so he can be the boss.  He walks well on a leash and  does not get car sick.  I will try to get some better pictures of him from his foster mom and hopefully a video to share but I wanted to get him posted so he can find a home where he does not have to share all of the love. If you are interested in Calvin, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This cuddle bug is 5 years old and 10 pounds.  She is a pretty chocolate color and so very sweet.  Willow gets along with all of her foster siblings big and small, she plays very well with everyone especially a little 2 pound female chihuahua that is in my home. Actually I like Willow, she makes me laugh doing her own thing.  She can be independent and sometimes she wants to follow you all over the house and just be your buddy.  There are times that she just hangs out with all of the foster dogs and sometimes she puts herself behind a gate to be roommates with 3 much bigger Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers! Willow was dumped in a field with 5 of her siblings, several rescue groups divided them up.  All of them were very emaciated and heartworm positive.  Willow has gone through heartworm treatment SUCCESSFULLY and fully recovered.  There is nothing that needs to be done for her except have her on monthly heartworm preventative or the ProHeart yearly heartworm preventative. Willow walks well on a leash and rides in the car without getting sick.  This little girl really wants to be your buddy, her demeanor is great.  She has not aggression in any area and for her to have been starved, she is not food aggressive and now that she knows she has food every day, she does not eat a lot. If you are interested in adopted Willow, please submit an application on the website below.  The websites marketing the dogs do not transfer their applications to us.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org         ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.
