Story
George is a 6 lb purebred long-haired Chihuahua who is looking for his forever home. He has your typical Chihuahua traits, sometimes he's growly, sometimes he's barky but above everything he just wants to be with you and give kisses, a lot of kisses! Someone with chihuahua experience would be best for this little guy since they understand the chi mindset. George is a very healthy boy. However, he does have a grade 3 luxating patella on his rear left leg but this does not keep him down. We do limit jumping on and off of the couch + carry him up and down the stairs so he doesn't hurt himself. He will benefit from surgery down the line so his muscles don't suffer while his knee is popped out. His ideal home would be with another small dog around his age as he loves to romp around and play. He absolutely loves to run around and play with his toys all by himself also. He would do well with older children who respect his size and will absolutely need a fenced-in yard. George does well sleeping in a crate at night or sleeping in your bed, either way he sleeps through the night and snuggles up. He does not like the crate during the day and will voice his displeasure. George is not one to get into things so he is fine outside of the crate and just sits at the window waiting for his person to get home. He is 95% housebroken, as long as you keep him on a schedule he will go outside. He also does use potty pads inside if it is cold out. If you are interested in meeting George, fill out an application today!

Story
Kanolli is a 5 year old Chihuahua/cockapoo mix who was an owner surrender when his previous owner could no longer care for him. He is doing his best and learning to adjust to a new life. We know that he loves treats and is very treat motivated. He is leash trained and absolutely loves to go on walks but startles easily so we are working on that. He is almost fully housebroken although he still has an accident occasionally. He is still nervous from his move to his new home so we are giving him space and time. He does well with other dogs and will require a fenced-in yard so he can run and play. Everything is new and different for Kanolli so he will need a home that is calm and someone who can take the time with him. Patience will be key but once he knows you are his new person, he should settle in fine. If you are interested in meeting Kanolli, fill out an application today! NY AG/MKTS RR363

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi there! My name is  Little Mama , and I’m a sweet 7-year-old Chihuahua mix searching for my forever home. I’ve settled in beautifully with my foster family, but I’m ready for a place of my very own. I’m a loving, affectionate girl who loves to snuggle under the blankets and cuddle up close. I’m food-motivated and enjoy my treats, which makes training a breeze! I currently live with two other dogs and get along great with them. I also share my home with two kids, and I adore them. I’m crate trained, house trained, and I know basic commands. I would make a wonderful companion for a family or individual looking for a loyal, cuddly best friend. If you’re looking for a sweet, easygoing girl to love, I just might be the one for you. Could I be your forever Little Mama? Story
Ryan is a gentle soul who adores snuggles and going everywhere with his people. He is great with other relaxed dogs, good with cats, would be ok with older respectful kids, will warm up to strangers with time and patience. His favorite hobbies include snuggling with his people on the couch, sleeping in bed with his people, and playing with his squeaky toys. He is housebroken and will go outside, but he will also use his pee pads inside. He does not require a fenced-in yard and will do well as an only dog or will be fine joining another pup in the home. Ryan is looking for a forever home where he can share his boundless affection and wagging tail. If you are ready for a loyal companion who will brighten your days, Ryan is the one for you. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.Get ready for some fun to come into your house and your heart.  DORY will add some joy and excitement in you as she is just a spit-fire with a little gip and dip in her dance!! DORY is 5 months old and weighs 8 pounds, for sure she will remain a small breed dog as she only weighed 1.8 pounds at 3 months when I got her.  She is a Chihuahua mix and we are not sure what she is mixed with.  She had a bent front right wrist when I got her and the vet said it was some sort of trauma that happened to her.  DORY wore a splint for 3 weeks to straighten it out and there is no further medical needed as the wrist is healed.  She uses it while running around playing but still sometimes runs without putting the paw down.  There is NOTHING wrong with her wrist and she does NOT need medical attention.  Just being clear as to why she seems to have a limp. DORY loves wrestling and running and playing with all of the dogs in the house.  If you are her size, she has a good time rolling around and just playing tag with the other dog.  If there is a bigger dog in the house, expect DORY to crawl all over the dog, give kisses and just be a pretty pest in the best way possible. She is very smart and watches everything that is going on.  She understands completely what she should and should not be doing.  Currently there are lots of toys in the house and she has not shown a need to chew on personal items but she loves to chew on bully sticks and other hard chew toys. DORY would do best in a home with a pet playmate and not as a single dog as she will get bored and lonely. If you are interested in adopting DORY, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org   She is also potty trained but may have an accident if not let out often enough.  She is also crate trained but she does not like to go in there, she wants to be with you.     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         January 28, 2026, 7:32 am

Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This pretty little girl is LUNA, a 9 month old, 12 pound chi-weenie.  She is a Chihuahua/Dachshund mix and very social and happy.  She is happy to meet people and gets along with all of the dogs.  LUNA plays very well with the other foster dogs big and small but still likes to be a lap dog and snuggle with you. LUNA would do best in a home with a pet companion as she really does enjoy the company of another dog.  Her energy level is average but may be too much as an only dog. She is crate and potty trained.  Because there are several dogs in the home, LUNA is crated when left alone but has the run of the house while there is an adult present.  She comes alive with little kids, she loves to play with them. If you are interested in adopting LUNA, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org       ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.
