Story
Kanolli is a 5 year old Chihuahua/cockapoo mix who was an owner surrender when his previous owner could no longer care for him.  He is doing his best and learning to adjust to a new life.  We know that he loves treats and is very treat motivated.  He is leash trained and absolutely loves to go on walks but startles easily so we are working on that.  He is almost fully housebroken although he still has an accident occasionally.  He is still nervous from his move to his new home so we are giving him space and time.  He does well with other dogs and will require a fenced-in yard so he can run and play. Everything is new and different for Kanolli so he will need a home that is calm and someone who can take the time with him.  Patience will be key but once he knows you are his new person, he should settle in fine.  If you are interested in meeting Kanolli, fill out an application today! Story
Ziggy is a lover boy who would love to have a home with you.  He gets along with all of the dogs in my home and plays very well.  He is completely crate and potty trained.  When you tell him to 'Go Home' he puts himself in his crate and telling him to 'Go Potty' he will run outside.  I have not left him alone in the home while I am running errands because he always puts himself in his crate.  He will eat with the other dogs but he likes to eat in his crate.  He does not have any food or any other aggression. Ziggy was an owner surrender from someone who had him all of his 3 years.  The owners living situation changed and she could keep him any longer.  When he first came to me he was very scared and confused which was understanding.  I completely left him alone so he could get use to his new environment, the dogs and me.  After 2 days he came up to me giving me kisses and he has been my best friend every since. On the day of surgery, he was nervous but he allowed the vet tech to handle him and he was so relieved to see me on pick up time.  Once he gets use to you, he is an excellent pet and no maintenance on a daily basis. Ziggy is 3 years old, weighs 8 pounds and a long haired Chihuahua that would need to be groomed about every 3 months.  If you are interested in adopting him, please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. LUNA would do best in a home with a pet companion as she really does enjoy the company of another dog.  Her energy level is average but may be too much as an only dog. She is crate and potty trained.  Because there are several dogs in the home, LUNA is crated when left alone but has the run of the house while there is an adult present.  She comes alive with little kids, she loves to play with them. They had her since she was a tiny baby. Since she has been in my home she is having a blast running around free and playing with the other dogs.  I am sure she is happy to not be locked up all the time.  WILLOW is quiet and a cuddler although she really does just like running around and playing. This is a sweet little girl who really deserves a good home so she can enjoy life. Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.This little ball of fun is AMY, a chihuahua mix and we are not sure what she is mixed with just that she is mostly chihuahua.  She is 4 months old and 9 pounds and loves to play and have fun with all of the dogs in the home.  She is being potty trained and goes out with all of the dogs and she is catching on fast.  As long as we have her we will continue to train her as best we can. AMY was found wandering the streets of San Antonio, TX alone and scared, she was very happy to be picked up and even happier to get in a house.  Now do not let that sweet little face fool you, she is spirited and loves, loves to play with the dogs and run zoomies.  She tires herself out and then wants to cuddle to take a nap.  Even though she is crate trained she still wants to cuddle up with a human and she does not mind sharing that space with another dog, big or small.  Sometimes she can be submissive when playing with the dogs.
