Name: DemiBreed: ChihuahuaGender: Spayed FemaleAge: Approx. 10Weight: 10 lbsLocation: Parrish, FL Leash Trained: YesHousebroken: YesCrate Trained: No **Meet Demi – Your Future Forever Friend!**Demi is a sweet and happy girl in search of her forever home. Unfortunately, her previous owner had to move due to health concerns. For the past 9 years, Demi has lived with an adult female dog and another chihuahua, receiving lots of love and attention.  Demi thrives in a home where someone is around most of the day.   She enjoys walks, gets excited for treats and feedings, and loves to watch squirrels. Demi is eager to please her people and easily motivated with snacks.  She adores couch snuggles, burying herself in blankets, and being in the same room as her family. She does well in the car if you want to take her with you on a ride.  Demi is housebroken, dances for treats, and loves to nap in a dog bed as long as she’s with her family. She currently sleeps on a dog bed in her foster moms room and is quiet all night long. Demi is the perfect little package all rolled up with love.  She does well with older children (over the age of 5) and would be happiest in a home with a couple kids to love her or just adults.  She is currently with a foster family and gets along well with their dog and a cat. She would do well with another small breed friend to keep her company. Demi’s ideal home would include both canine and human companions.  She prefers to be with her people so a family how isn’t gone for long periods of time would be best for this little girl.  Demi would do best in a home where she can receive lots of attention and companionship. She thrives on love and enjoys being a part of family activities.  She has also discovered that she really enjoys a nice walk with her foster family so she can explore and sniff all the wonderful smells. Demi is currently with a foster family, eagerly waiting for her forever home. If you think Demi would be a perfect addition to your family, please reach out to meet this wonderful girl! ##2086405##

Story
I am pleased to introduce Grasshopper a Chi/Healer mix! He is almost 5 months old, and weighs 19 lbs.  He and his siblings made the journey all the way from Jasper Texas to be Buffalo Underdogs! Grasshopper is a sweet SMART boy, in less than 2 days (wow) he has mastered stairs, hops in and out of the house without hesitation and loves to chase his ball around the yard. He’s doing a great job learning to walk on a leash and is excelling with potty training. He likes to romp and play with his 3 foster dog sisters and is the best nap taker ! He would need slow intro with children as I’m not used to them yet. Grasshopper sleeps without one peep in his crate all night long.  If you’re looking for a best friend forever Grasshopper is your boy. So please head on over to Buffalounderdogs.com to fill out a application.  Don’t hesitate I feel he won’t last long ##2122399##

Story
Tato bug, foster mom calls him Love Bug, is a sweet 15lb chihuahua heeler mix.  We think he’ll stay on the smaller side (no more than 35lbs.).  He loves to both snuggle and play. He loves playing with his toys and collecting them in his bed. He enjoys both playing with others and playing independently by himself. Tato Bug also loves chewing on a good bone.  He has the cutest bunny hop when he’s excited. Tato Bug plays with his foster brother and sister.  Although on the smaller size, he likes to try to keep up with the big kids.  He has done well with kids that he’s met so far.  After a little play, he loves to relax and nap in his nice, comfy bed or right next to foster mom and snuggle. He is a rockstar in his crate at night. He sleeps through the night with no issues. Give Tato Bug a treat in his crate and he goes right in while foster mom is working during the day. He is working on potty training, but is doing well with only a few accidents.  My foster mom is impressed. He is treat motivated and working on basic commands, such as sit and leash manners. This little boy has so much love to give, he would do great in any home! If Tato Bug sounds like a great fit for you, you can apply at https://www.buffalounderdogs.com/adopt. ##2122351##

Story
Amelia, also known as Sweet Pea, came to rescue as a stray who was never claimed. From what we can tell she is anywhere from 2 to 7 years old and a Chihuahua mix. Dog control and vets guessed her ages quite differently. She was found in very rough shape and we couldn't help but try to give her a shot at a new life. She had horrible skin issues along with a nasty cough. She was also overweight and her nails had grown into her paw pads. With all of these issues, her mobility was very little. She had seemed to have almost given up on herself and seemed depressed. "Pea" did have faith in couple of people though and would give them "kisses." After one month in her foster home, she was a different dog. Her cough has vastly improved with meds (she will need Lasix for life), her skin and coat, her mobility, and she lost weight. She is absolutely beautiful. Most importantly, she has regained her zest for life. Pea will run (it's more of a fast paced walk but hey, I can't run either). She'll look back at you to make sure you're still there and it looks like you're getting the cutest side eye ever. She is happiest on the couch with her person or on her dog bed, under a blanket. She would be okay in a home with or without a fence as long as she's watched in an area without one. Pea does roam the yard but she's not a fast runner with her little legs. She can go up most steps but hasn't mastered (nor really attempted going down them). Sweet Pea is very low energy and just wants to lay around all day. She is housebroken but with being on Lasix, has had a very occasional, pee accident while her foster parents are at work. She does try to pee on a pee pad thats been left down for her. She does well on car rides and with baths. Pea doesn't bother with the cats in her foster home. She doesn't like the dogs that are high energy and in her face but is fine with calm dogs like her. She HATES when they go by her food but has no issue if a human does it. She's not destructive so she doesn't need a crate. If you are interested in meeting her, fill out an application today! Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet.I have been trying to post this little boy for more than a week and just do not know what to say about his breed.  His mother is an 11 pound, 4 year old Chihuahua.  She was picked up from the streets after giving birth in a field.  I got her and the 2 boys when they were just 1 week old.  They have been in my home thriving greatly. Since momma was out in the streets we do not know who daddy is, sorry.  Bobby is 4.6 pounds and 9 weeks old.  He does favor mom.  He is 2 pounds lighter than his brother Boots.  I have included a picture of mom. They play constantly and love when I let them out of the puppy play pen to play with the bigger dogs.  They run zoomies all around the living room.   These are very very good and loving puppies and should make great family pets whatever they are mixed with. Both boys have had 2 vaccinations and due their 3rd one next week so they will come fully vaccinated, neutered, dewormed and microchipped.  They are too young right now for a rabies. We transport to most state across the country.  Thank you for looking. If interested, please submit an application on our website at www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Our organization is run by volunteers/foster parents, please be patient to give us time to respond to your emails and/or phone calls.  We will reply to you.  Thank you.         July 21, 2024, 10:45 am
