Story
Kevin was in a house with over 50 Chihuahuas   Kevin is complete gentleman ... he is sweet, can be initially timid, smart, mostly a calm, happy little man.  He can become fearful  i n certain situations  and will seek out a place to hide ... kind words of encouragement always helps him overcome his fears. He is a little anxious when left alone and will softly cry out...some times he'll let out a low howl....not loud at al!  He is not destructive or aggressive in any circumstance. He sleeps in fosters bed thru the night and is only crated when left alone. Kevin is very food motivated and will take a treat from anyone who offers. We have never had any issues handling him; he tends to be nervous when clipping a leash on /off ...he is improving with every passing day.  Kevin has no interest in toys or play. Off leash is not recommended ... should be considered a flight risk in strange places.  He is a perfect gentleman at the vets.  Kevin is great travelling in a car but best he be secured in a crate or by a seatbelt.   If you're looking for Kevin, you won't have to look far... he can always be found in his foster dad's lap ...his favourite place to be. He follows his foster dad everywhere.  Kevin is fine with company. He will make himself comfortable on any lap available. We are still working on housetraining .... he has very few accidents now. He will not venture out in yard unless a person is with him. I always take him on a leash until he does his business. He usually goes potty on command. If you don't use a leash he'll run back to the door Kevin prefers to be in the house then outside. He has shown a little progress in the yard to go off on his own and explore.  At first Kevin was frightened of other dogs in the house .... he is now fine....he basically ignores them.  He is neutered, utd vacc., microchipped The vet thought Kevin to be around 5-6 yrs old.June 12, 2024, 9:00 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.CAESAR is a friendly, outgoing little guy who’s an owner surrender and through no fault of his own finds himself in our rescue looking for a new home. He’s neutered, vaccinated including rabies and microchipped. He has been seen regularly by a vet and his vet record shows he’s a healthy boy and the only thing noted is that he has the start of some tartar build up on his teeth. This little lap dog is a super friendly, outgoing little guy who wants to have a family that will have someone home with him most of the time to give him lots of attention as it’s important to him that he not be left alone all day. He just wants someone to love him and spend lots of time with him and enjoy having cuddles on the couch together as much as he does.   CAESAR is crate trained as well as house trained and is generally a good boy around the house. He likes children but will bark if they’re running around and chasing after him so we recommend they be aged 10 and up and will be loving and gentle towards him. He lived in a home with 2 cats and they were best of friends so he’d definitely suit a home with cats.  CAESAR walks well on either a leash or harness and loves to go on his walks so he’d need an active owner who loves walking as much as he does. He doesn’t bark at people or dogs on his walks but if there’s a knock at the door, well that’s a different story! We don’t recommend him going to a dog park with larger dogs as he’s just a little guy and could be easily set upon. It’s also not recommended that he be off leash until a strong bond has been formed between him and his owner and his recall has been tested for him to return to you. He loves playing with all sorts of toys, curling up on his dog bed and of course having treats. He’s pretty chill and well behaved and will easily fit in with most families but would probably suit an older household rather than a young family.  If CAESAR sounds like the little guy for you then please complete the adoption form to meet him. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 11, 2024, 11:24 pm

Story
Meet Kylie: Kylie was so shut down and terrified of people when she first joined our partner rescue in Texas. It was obvious she had , very little human contact. She was so protective of her baby that she would stand guard, her hackle would go up, and she would growl and bark at you if you tried to come into the kennel. Eventually it was time to separate them. Kylie was placed in a temporary foster home and in no time she completely became a different dog. She started wanting to be close to people. She would jump up on the couch beside her foster mom and the other dogs. She learned to enjoy cuddles, belly rubs, and the comfort of a gentle hand messaging her ears, sides, and legs. It was such a reward to see her transformation. Kylie has now come back to the rescue and has really amazed us all at the difference in her. She now gets excited and is all tail wags when her foster comes into the room. She always looks forward to receiving her cuddles, yummy treats, and chillin with the gang. Kylie does great with other dogs, doesn't show interest in the cats at the rescue. She does well with most kids. Although we do find she is cautious around young kids and sometimes will get a little antsy around them. For that reason we recommend kids that are older and calmer. Kylie would do great with a family that will be patient with her and allow her to adjust slowly to her new environment and to warm up and come out of her shell at her pace. Please complete the application if you would like to adopt Kylie!

Story
Woof! 🐾 Hey there, I'm a bit of a shy pup when you first meet me. I'm like a cat—I need about 3-7 days to warm up and show you my true, adorable personality. But hey, patience is the key to our friendship! I absolutely love other dogs. I can't resist saying hi to each and every furry friend, and my cute face tends to win them over. I'm happiest in a home where I can play and interact with another doggy buddy—I'm quite dependent on their company. When it comes to my energy level, I'm just right—moderate is the way to go. I enjoy outdoor adventures, but indoors, I'm the picture of calm and contentment. Walks are a bit new to me, so if something startles me, I might just plop down and pretend I'm invisible. Sharing is caring, especially when it comes to treats and toys. I'm more than happy to share them with my doggy pals. I'm also crate-trained, so I know how to cozy up in my crate when needed. Whether it's indoor playtime or taking care of business outdoors, I'm ready to be the best companion you've ever had. Can't wait to charm my way into your heart! 🐶❤️ Rescue story: My mom gave birth to 6 puppies in a shelter. All of my siblings have found their forever homes and I think I’m ready to find THE ONE!! Story
Introducing the darling Jennifer, a petite 2-year-old Chihuahua-Jindo mix weighing in at a delightful 10 kilograms. This precious pup has quite the story to tell, having been rescued from a kill shelter alongside her precious puppies. Jennifer is what you might call a "people person" in the canine world. She adores meeting new friends and welcomes them with open paws, allowing even strangers to lavish her with pets and cuddles. In fact, she's quite the social butterfly and doesn't mind being carried around like the little queen she is. And oh, don't even get her started on belly rubs – she's practically an expert at melting hearts with her irresistible display of a soft, fluffy belly begging for attention. Having been a devoted mom to her puppies, Jennifer has learned the art of sharing and getting along swimmingly with dogs of all shapes and sizes. She's a true peacemaker, always opting for a calm and collected approach when there's a sniff of conflict in the air. Whether it's a boisterous playmate or a gentle giant, Jennifer is all about spreading harmony and love in the doggy world. When it comes to cats, Jennifer's curiosity might pique when she spots a stray feline on her walks. But fear not – her focus remains firmly on her trusted handler, ensuring that she stays on track and doesn't get too distracted by those mysterious creatures with whiskers. Now, Jennifer may tend to pull a bit on the leash when she's overcome with excitement on her adventures. But fear not, for she quickly settles down once she's had a chance to take in the sights and sounds of her surroundings. And as for those tear stains? Well, it seems that chicken might be the culprit, but a little TLC and a carefully tailored diet will have her sparkling like the gem she truly is. This charming canine companion is seeking a forever family who can shower her with plenty of love and affection, along with a dose of tranquillity to match her serene disposition. If you believe Jennifer is "the one" for you, please don't hesitate to reach out to her devoted team. She's ready to sprinkle your life with endless joy and puppy kisses! 🐾 To see more videos:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhJGCgsllwY&list=PLIsLTtIpe3JxsglforEc1FTB9vABc7T-8
