AGE: 15 YearsSEX: FemaleBREED: Chihuahua mixENERGY LEVEL: LowDOG FRIENDLY?: Yep!CAT FRIENDLY?: Yep!KID FRIENDLY?: Likely!Meet Rosy! This sweet senior chihuahua is a calm, confident little lady who enjoys the simple things in life. She loves heading out for short walks throughout the day, taking her time to explore and sniff at her own pace. After a bit of walking, she’s happy to relax and ride along in a stroller for some extra comfort. Back at home, Rosy is happiest resting in her cozy bed, spending much of her day snoozing peacefully. She enjoys being near her people and will let you know when she’d like to join you on the couch, though she’s more of a companion than a cuddler. She also loves all kinds of treats and will happily accept them with enthusiasm.Rosy is house trained, walks nicely and slowly on leash, and does well when left home alone. She will need someone home often, however, as she is experiencing some incontinence and may have an accident if home alone more than 4 hours. She’s friendly with people she meets, though she’s more easygoing than overly social. She has seen children on walks and isn’t bothered by them, and she has done well meeting other dogs - including larger ones. She’s also cat and dog friendly overall. While she lives comfortably in a busier environment and isn’t bothered by noise due to some hearing loss, she would likely feel most relaxed in a quieter home where she can enjoy a peaceful routine.Rosy will sometimes wag her tail and bark at dogs she sees, likely because she’s interested in saying hello. While she can coexist with other pets, she may prefer being the only one in the home, as she can get a little jealous when sharing attention—especially on the couch or during treat time. She’s a quiet, well - behaved companion who doesn’t get into things and is easy to have around the house.Rosy was diagnosed with a suspected heart condition several years ago and takes daily medication to help keep her comfortable. This should be reassessed with your veterinarian a few times a year to ensure her dosing continues to meet her needs. Because of this, along with some general arthritis, she has a lower tolerance for longer walks and may need to be carried or enjoy stroller rides for extended outings. She also has periodontal disease and is not a candidate for dental procedures due to her heart condition, so soft food is recommended, along with dental chews to help support her oral health. As a senior girl, Rosy is looking for a loving home that will cherish her and provide comfort in her golden years. While her exact timeline is uncertain, it may range from months to a few years. In return, Rosy will offer gentle companionship, quiet loyalty, and so much love!Think you might be the right fit to provide a loving home for Rosy? Apply Now!https://newcollar.co/apply-to-adopt

Story
Tia | Female | Approx. 4 years old | 22lbs | Dog and Cat Friendly | Toronto Tia is a very special girl looking for that special home that will invest the time and patience she needs to be herself. You can see the sweetness and willingness to trust in her big brown eyes, but she is quite shy at first and needs an adopter who will go at her pace. Even when she's unsure of things, Tia is the most gentle dog. Already Tia is making great strides in her foster home: in a short amount of time she's gone from timid to much more comfortable. She'll stay on her foster's lap for ear rubs, does a little dance when waiting for her meals, and rolls playfully around on her back accepting belly rubs. Her foster has gained her trust and been rewarded by joyful greetings in the morning with Tia launching herself onto the bed wagging her tail like crazy! She sleeps through the night and settles down for a nap when left home alone with the foster's dogs and cat. Tia is shy but curious when it comes to walking and meeting new people. She's calm and indifferent with cats and other dogs, but enjoys having their company, and would likely be fine living with either as long as they didn't come on too strongly. She'd do best with an adopter who is around a fair bit of the time and has a fenced yard. Few things are more rewarding than earning the trust of a shy dog. It's a really special experience to became their safe person and give them the foundation to be brave, comfy, and confident. In Tia's case, she doesn't require too much to build this trust. If you can go at her pace in the beginning, she quickly let's her inner affectionate goofball shine through. This will only become more and more apparent once she's in her forever home. If you can devote yourself to Tia, she will devote herself back a hundred fold. The shy guys don't always draw the apps, but often make the most memorable and special relationships and experiences. Story
QUICK FACTS Name: Ttuji Age: Around 2 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Chihuahua mix Color: Brindle Weight: 5kg / 11lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I’m not quite sure how I ended up all alone, wandering the streets by myself. Thankfully, kind rescuers noticed me and brought me to safety at a city pound. Because of limited space, I was sadly placed on the euthanasia list—but my story didn’t end there. I was rescued just in time and given a second chance at life. Now, those uncertain days are behind me, and I’m ready to find my forever family and start a bright, happy new chapter filled with love.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY I’m super, super adorable—tiny in size and perfectly pocket-sized, which makes me very easy to bring along on adventures! I love being close to my people and feel safest when I can lean into you or be held in your arms, especially if I’m feeling a little unsure. I get along well with both dog and cat friends too! Underneath my slightly shy exterior, there’s a goofy, playful side waiting to come out—and I have a big appetite to match!   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I’m great with people and love greeting everyone I meet, soaking up all the affection and gentle pets. I can be a little shy at first, so I do best with a calm, gentle approach and kind words. Once I feel safe, I warm up quickly and tend to form sweet little bonds with people who show me love. I’ll gently take treats from your hand and I generally feel more comfortable around women. I also allow myself to be picked up, and once I’m comfortable, I’ll happily show my belly for extra snuggles. · With Dogs: I’m great with my dog friends too! I generally get along best with dogs of my size or smaller, and I enjoy their company a lot. Even if another dog is being a bit pushy or rude, I prefer to calmly walk away and avoid any conflict. I also take comfort in having dog friends around and often look to them for a little extra emotional support. · With Cats: I’m great with cats too! I’ve previously lived with a cat in my foster home and got along very well. With thoughtful introductions and a little time to settle in, I believe I would do just fine in a home with cats.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a moderate to high energy level and love getting out to explore my surroundings—walk time is one of my favorite parts of the day! I enjoy taking in all the sights and smells and staying curious about the world around me. After I’ve had my fun and adventure, I’m more than happy to settle down and snuggle up close with you for some cozy, relaxing time.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m still learning my leash manners and getting better every day. Sometimes sudden loud noises can startle me, and I may lie flat on the ground until I feel safe again, but with patience and reassurance, I’m continuing to build my confidence. I have lovely manners around food and don’t guard my meals from people or other dogs. I’m a quiet girl who rarely barks and I know how to rest calmly in my kennel. I can get a little car sick at times, but I’m otherwise doing great with my routines. I’m also well on my way with my potty habits and can use both indoor pee pads and go outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: • A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment • A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout • A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together • A family that will love and cherish me forever • Ideally a home with another dog or cat sibling but not an absolute requirement • A family who understands my shy nature and is willing to be patient and supportive as I continue to build confidence and come out of my shell   SPECIAL NOTES I may seem a little shy at first, but I warm up quickly and love showing my goofy, playful side once I feel comfortable. I have a big appetite, which makes me eager to please and fun to train. With the right family, I know I’ll grow into a loyal and loving companion. When I feel unsure, being held close helps me feel safe—and in those moments, I build trust quickly and find so much comfort in being with you.   Ttuji's Youtube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com   ##2689879##

Story
🏠 Currently in a Toronto foster homeHi… I’m Ttoro 💛 I’m a 2-year-old boy, a tiny Chihuahua weighing just 3kg. I may be small, but I have a big heart—especially for my person. I was rescued just before it was too late, and for the past 6 months, I’ve been living in a foster home where I’ve learned what love feels like. Because of that, I’ve grown very attached to my person. I do like people… I really do. But sometimes, if someone I don’t know suddenly tries to touch me, I can get scared and react. It’s not because I’m mean— it’s because I’m trying to protect myself… and the person I love. The good news is, I’ve already been working on this, and I’ve gotten much calmer and better. If you give me a little time and don’t rush me, I’ll start to understand that I’m safe with you too. I get along okay with other dogs, but when it comes to food… I can be a little sensitive. Sometimes I worry someone might take it, so I might grumble a bit. (But if the other dog is bigger than me… I suddenly become very polite 😅) More than anything, I bond deeply with one person. And when I do, I want to stay close and protect them. That’s why I’m looking for someone who can love me in a calm and steady way— not too overwhelming, not too fast. Someone who will respect my space at first, let me come closer on my own, and gently show me the world is a safe place. If you understand small dogs like me—especially Chihuahuas— you’ll know that we love deeply, we just need trust to grow first. The good thing is… I’ve already lived in a home before. So I think I can adjust again pretty well, especially if you’re patient with me. I may be a little shy in the beginning, but once I choose you… I’ll be your tiny shadow, your loyal little guardian, your forever companion. Will you be my person? 💛

QUICK FACTS Name: Dabok Age: Around 3~4 years old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Chihuahua mix Color: Brown Weight: 6kg / 13lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I’m not sure how I ended up all alone on the streets, covered in itchy mites all over my body. Thankfully, kind humans found me and helped me get better. Now I’m clean, happy, and ready to find my forever family!   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up to date Recovering from severe skin infection. My fur is still growing!   MY PERSONALITY I’m a super sweet girl who loves everyone I meet! I’ve been through a rough time, but kind people rescued me and are helping my skin heal from a mite infection. I’ve already stolen the hearts of all the staff and volunteers, and now I’m hoping to find a forever family to love me just as much.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I love people so much! I don’t remember everything from my past, but I know I was neglected and left behind—probably because of my itchy skin from mites. Even so, my heart is still full of love. I’m trusting, affectionate, and always ready for cuddles and gentle pets. I like to greet strangers with a friendly wag and I like to show my belly right away. · With Dogs: I’m pretty easygoing with other dogs! I don’t mind them at all, but if one gets a little too pushy, I’ll bark to let them know to give me some space. With proper introductions, I do just fine and get along well with the other dogs at my care facility. I also love food and have a big appetite—I’m never shy about asking for treats, even around bigger dogs! · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown.   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have a nice, moderate energy level—I love going for walks and spending time outdoors, but I’m just as happy curling up inside for a cozy nap or snuggle.   TRAINING & HABITS I’m a good girl on leash and like to follow my handler’s lead. I do best in quieter areas since loud noises can make me a little nervous, but with gentle guidance, I keep getting better every day! I’m a quiet pup who rarely barks—usually just when I want some attention. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel and I potty both indoors and outdoors. I don’t guard my food from people or other dogs, and I’ve got a big appetite! Because I love treats so much, I’ll be easy and fun to train.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me grow and become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A home that offers a fun, structured, and safe environment A family that enjoys outdoor & indoor time together A family that understands my past & loving me with patience Understanding of my sensitive skin that still needs a little extra care because of my past mite infection. My skin is a bit delicate—kind of like a Sphynx cat! So if you’ve always wanted one of those, I might be the perfect match for you!   SPECIAL NOTES I’m still recovering from my past skin infection, so my skin is a little sensitive and needs gentle care. I do best in calm, quiet places and would love a patient family who understands me. I walk nicely on leash and enjoy outdoor time, but I’m also happy to snuggle indoors. I’m polite with other dogs, though I prefer slow introductions. I love food (maybe a little too much!) and treats always make my tail wag. With some love and care, I’ll be your sweetest, most loyal friend.   Dabok's YouTube Playlist   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.com ##2577931##
