Meet Spike! Spike is a young chihuahua mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. This little guy is bursting with energy, always ready to zoom around the yard, chase after his toys, or play with his canine and feline friends. But when playtime is over, Spike is just as happy to snuggle up under the covers or curl into your lap for a cozy nap. Spike’s journey hasn’t been the easiest—he came to us when his previous family could no longer care for him and was battling sarcoptic mange. Thanks to the love and care he received, he’s now fully treated and healthy! His coat may be a little sparse, but that only makes him more unique and charming. Spike was adopted but recently returned through no fault of his own. Despite this setback, he remains the same loving, playful pup, eager to find a family who will cherish him forever. This sweet boy is completely house-trained, great with other dogs and cats, and doesn’t need to be crated. He’s recently discovered how fun toys can be and enjoys chewing on his little chew stick. Spike thrives in a home with another playful dog to keep him company, so his ideal family will have a furry friend ready to match his energy and zest for life! OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS OR COLORADO BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Colorado. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention.
