Meet Spike, an adorable and spirited 1-year-old Chihuahua mix who’s eager to find his forever home. Spike’s journey with us began when his previous family could no longer care for him, but he’s proven to be a resilient little guy with a huge heart. Upon arriving at the rescue, Spike was battling sarcoptic mange, a skin condition that left him itchy and uncomfortable. Thanks to the care he received, he’s now fully treated and clear of mange. Although Spike’s coat is on the sparse side, our vet suspects this is simply due to his breed, and it only adds to his unique charm!Despite his early struggles, Spike’s playful personality shines through. He’s a bundle of energy who loves to zip around the yard with his signature zoomies, chasing toys and showing off his quick, nimble moves. He’s incredibly friendly and enjoys the company of other dogs, making him a great fit for a home with canine siblings. Spike is also wonderful with children, making him a well-rounded companion for families of all kinds.While he may be small in size, Spike’s heart is full of love, and he’s ready to share it with a family who will cherish him. He’s playful, affectionate, and ready to be part of a home where he can thrive and continue to show off his sweet, fun-loving personality. OUR DOGS ARE FOSTERED IN TEXAS OR COLORADO BUT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION AND TRANSPORT OUT OF STATE. Read below for more information.All of our dogs are located in a foster home in Texas or Colorado. Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Mutts N Such direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).Our out of state adoption fee is $350 plus transport (varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, a registered microchip, fecal analysis, spay/neuter for pets 6 months & older, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs will be current on flea/heartworm prevention.
