Cindy 480-628-2486This is Rocco. A real love bug. He just had his check up last weekand is in great condition. Playful, eeats Blue Buffalo dry in blue bag. Loves treats. Loves walks and to go anyplace with you. Gets along with other dogs and cats if they dont run. Good with kids as far as I can tell. I don`t have any little ones around so he has had breif meetings. He has no knee problems and loves baths. He uses the doggie door. He loves to go places. He loves baths too. I adopted him 30 days ago and I just found out my lot rent is skyrocketing so I cannot afford to have a pet. I`ll probably need to move. He sits, stays and understands most of what you say. He wants to be a lap dog. He comes with leash, food, toys, blankets and treats. He is microchipped you can get in your name. About 16 lbs. I`m only charging some of what I`ve spent on him. I wis h I could keep him, but I can`t. Only asking some of what I`ve spent. 120.00 firm only to a good home with yard.

Story
Hi everyone! Meet Snoopy.  He is a Long Hair Chihuahua Mix. He is a 14 pound ball of energy! His perfect day involves hiking through a forested trail or exploring a rocky beach. He is always up for an adventure in nature! He loves jumping over logs and walking through shallow creeks. Afterwards he can relax and snuggle on the couch. He is very affectionate and love giving kisses! Post nap, he can play fetch or tug of war with his favorite squeaker toy. he can end the day with a peanut butter kong and some belly rubs. Dislikes: Walking on streets with heavy traffic, especially when buses and unmuffled cars drive by. The noise is stressful for him, and he prefers the safety of home. He is also sensitive to certain noises, and will alert with a bark. We have been working on ways to provide a relaxing outlet when there is too much going on during walks like a Citronella Collar.  This is a big reason why having my own backyard would be amazing! I like to watch over my home, so new people must allow me a chance to feel safe around them.. Once they walk through the door,  It helps is meeting new people while on a leash. It shows me they are friendly and safe. I am a nervous dog by breed or nature.  I have been trying to build a more secure peronality.  A good trainer and dedicated adopter can help me overcome my fears.  I'm not crate trained but have used a pen. I'm working on the pen being my safe space. I do very well at the veterinary clinic and have gotten compliments for my sweet nature. I also do well getting my nails professionally trimmed.  I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. What I need: No young children.  I do better with adults. A gated backyard. I absolutely love running and can run for hours! My fast, agile body would be amazing at agility courses He can be shy and nervous around other dogs, especially if they don't respect boundaries. However, he can be comfortable with them over time.   ##1867517##

Story
Meet Popcorn A Tiny Dog with a Big PersonalityPopcorn is a 10-pound Chihuahua with a big heart and a soft spot for cats. At first glance, you'll notice how adorable he is – but this little guy is more than just a cute face. Popcorn is looking for a patient, experienced home that understands the unique needs of a senior pup who’s had to figure life out on his own terms.Popcorn has cataracts and limited vision, so he startles easily – especially if he's woken up abruptly. For this reason, he’s not a fit for homes with children or a home that has many visitors and will need a calm, quiet environment where he can feel safe. Once he trusts you (and that might take some time – think weeks or even months), he’ll allow gentle pets and might even sneak in a snuggle on his terms. He’s very food-motivated, which helps with building trust, but he’s also protective of his meals and treats, so he must be fed separately from other pets. Popcorn loves cats and would absolutely thrive in a feline-friendly home. He’s cautious with dogs but can coexist peacefully after a respectful introduction.Popcorn isn’t a social butterfly, but he does fine when visitors come over – as long as they don’t try to engage with him directly. His ideal adopter will be someone who respects his boundaries, moves at his pace, and is okay with earning his love slowly but surely. If you’re a cat-loving human with a quiet home and a heart big enough for a little dog who just needs time and understanding, Popcorn might just be your perfect match.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at https://caws.org/adoption-applicationMay 15, 2025, 6:51 am

Story
Meet Woofgang Puck, or just Puck for short! This lovable 8-year-old Chihuahua mix is a little bundle of joy, possibly with a sprinkle of Beagle in his genes. At first, Puck may come off as shy, but give him a moment, and his playful side will shine like a star! Puck adores his toys and loves to get into some light-hearted trouble—just picture him as the life of the party! He enjoys his naps, but don’t let him miss out on the fun; after all, who wants to snooze through an adventure? He loves being outside, but keep an eye on him—if the yard isn’t secure, he might go on his own mini explorations. And be careful! If a door is left open, he’s ready to dash out! When it comes to other dogs, Puck needs a little help. He has a tendency to “assist” them with their meals, which can be quite annoying. His friendly greetings can be a bit much—he barks, jumps, and wags his tail enthusiastically, which may confuse his canine pals. With some training, he can learn to tone it down. He’s also learning how to handle his protective instincts, but if you have other pets, be prepared to guide him through it. Puck is quite the jumper when he’s excited and might unexpectedly leap onto you, giving playful nips at your legs! He listens when corrected but often forgets the rules once the fun starts again. While he’s crate trained, Puck feels much more comfortable snoozing on a cozy bed rather than being confined to a crate. Sleeping in your bed isn’t something he’s into just yet. The good news is, he’s house trained and will let you know when it’s time to go out. Puck does have a heart murmur and takes medication twice a day for it. He can get a bit anxious, especially when being picked up or during car rides, and sitting on laps isn’t really his scene. This sweet boy is looking for a forever home filled with love, patience, and understanding. With your support, Puck will be ready for short hikes and exciting adventures with his favorite human! Puck has been neutered, is current on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. He also had a recent dental and lost a few teeth. If you are interested in adopting Puck, please complete an adoption application on our website. Just go to uaaf.org/adopt. Story
Meet Pippin, a four-year-old Chihuahua with movie-star looks and a heart full of love. Pippin is searching for his forever family (or perhaps a manager for his budding modeling career). With his striking good looks and soulful eyes, he has a way of making you feel like the most important person in the room. This handsome little guy found himself in a shelter through no fault of his own, but thanks to UAAF, he’s now thriving in a foster home and ready to find his perfect match. Pippin uses a dog door and is doing great with house manners. Like many young boys, he may mark, so a belly band is recommended until that phase passes. Pippin loves to play and would be thrilled to have a playful canine friend in his forever home. He enjoys kids who understand that small dogs aren’t toys and appreciates gentle, respectful interactions. He hasn’t met cats yet, so his feelings about them are unknown. When playtime is over, Pippin is all about cuddles. He adores being close to his people and is more than happy to let you brush and admire his beautiful coat. Pippin is neutered and up to date on all vaccines. If you’re ready to spoil each other with love and companionship, fill out an application and see if Pippin is your perfect match. Pippin has been neutered, is current on vaccinations, has tested negative for heartworm and is microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Pippin, please complete an adoption application on our website (uaaf.org/adopt). Story
Meet Golden Nugget, a senior dog with a heart of gold and a personality as rich and layered as his name suggests. While he has a sweet and loyal side, he also knows exactly what he likes—and what he doesn’t. He’s independent, spirited, and full of character, just like you'd expect from a classic Chihuahua. Golden Nugget is friendly on his own terms, often forming strong bonds with his favorite people. He’s sharp as a tack and still enjoys exploring his surroundings with youthful curiosity. Once you’re in his circle, you’ll find a fiercely loyal companion who brings joy, laughter, and a whole lot of heart into your life. He’ll thrive in a home that appreciates his quirks, respects his space, and is willing to advocate for him with others. Whether that means letting guests know he needs a little time to warm up or ensuring he has a quiet spot to retreat to, Golden Nugget does best with someone who understands and honors his boundaries. Adopting Golden Nugget means embracing a dog with opinions, charm, and endless personality—and gaining a devoted, one-of-a-kind friend for life.
