Story
Hi everyone! Meet Snoopy.  He is a Long Hair Chihuahua Mix. He is a 14 pound ball of energy! His perfect day involves hiking through a forested trail or exploring a rocky beach. He is always up for an adventure in nature! He loves jumping over logs and walking through shallow creeks. Afterwards he can relax and snuggle on the couch. He is very affectionate and love giving kisses! Post nap, he can play fetch or tug of war with his favorite squeaker toy. he can end the day with a peanut butter kong and some belly rubs. Dislikes: Walking on streets with heavy traffic, especially when buses and unmuffled cars drive by. The noise is stressful for him, and he prefers the safety of home. He is also sensitive to certain noises, and will alert with a bark. We have been working on ways to provide a relaxing outlet when there is too much going on during walks like a Citronella Collar.  This is a big reason why having my own backyard would be amazing! I like to watch over my home, so new people must allow me a chance to feel safe around them.. Once they walk through the door,  It helps is meeting new people while on a leash. It shows me they are friendly and safe. I am a nervous dog by breed or nature.  I have been trying to build a more secure peronality.  A good trainer and dedicated adopter can help me overcome my fears.  I'm not crate trained but have used a pen. I'm working on the pen being my safe space. I do very well at the veterinary clinic and have gotten compliments for my sweet nature. I also do well getting my nails professionally trimmed.  I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. What I need: No young children.  I do better with adults. A gated backyard. I absolutely love running and can run for hours! My fast, agile body would be amazing at agility courses He can be shy and nervous around other dogs, especially if they don't respect boundaries. However, he can be comfortable with them over time.   ##1867517##

Story
Lulu is a 2-year-old Chihuahua mix weighing just 8 pounds, but don't let her tiny size fool you - she's a little ball of spice with a big personality! This silly girl loves being around her people and will happily follow you everywhere as your loyal little shadow.Lulu enjoys playing with toys, hanging out with her humans, and going for walks or having playtime to burn off her medium energy. She has good leash manners, is crate trained, and is house trained as long as she's let out regularly. She gets along well with other dogs, especially smaller ones, and is also fine with cats (though she may try to play with them!). Lulu does well with kids, but she would do best in a home with older children who understand that her little nips are just her way of asking for attention-not aggression. One of Lulu's quirky habits is that when she's excited or following you around, she may jump and give a small nip to get your attention. It's just part of her spunky personality!Lulu can thrive in many living situations, including apartments or homes with yards, and she's comfortable being crated during a typical workday. Her grooming needs are simple-just regular baths to keep her looking and feeling her best. What makes Lulu special is her fun, goofy spirit and how much she loves being close to her people. If you're looking for a playful, devoted little companion who will make you smile and stick by your side, Lulu might just be your perfect match.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. ALL CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
Meet Martha 10 years • 16 lbs • Chihuahua mixIf you’re looking for a gentle, elegant little lady with a heart full of love, Martha is your girl. This mostly white Chihuahua—with a few adorable tan spots—moves through life with quiet grace. She’s calm, confident, not skittish in the slightest, and as quiet as a mouse.Martha loves nothing more than curling up beside her people for cuddles or snoozing peacefully through the night. She’ll happily sleep in your bed or settle on a cozy dog bed with a soft blanket. This brave girl went through all her vetting like a true champ and is feeling so much better. She’s fully house trained, crate trained, and gets along beautifully with dogs of all sizes and personalities in her foster home. Martha is carrying a couple of extra pounds, so her foster is helping her slim down slowly and safely.Because she’s a senior lady, she’d do best with older, respectful children. Her dream home has a yard where she can wander and sunbathe, and humans who work from home, are retired, or can bring her along to work—she loves being with her people more than anything.Martha is truly special: sweet, serene, and endlessly charming. She should have never ended up in a shelter, but now she’s on her path to the loving forever home she’s always deserved. If you’re ready to give this breathtaking little girl a safe, happy life filled with unconditional love, please fill out an application to meet her. Story
Hi. I'm Wylie, I got my name because my foster mom and dad think I look like Wyle E. Coyote from the Loony Toons. I'm originally from California where I lived with A BUNCH of my brothers and sisters. Now I'm in Utah looking for my forever home, along with my two brothers. I'm the quietest out of the three of us - I hardly ever bark. I love my people and want to be around them all the time. I like to play a little bit, but I am most content being held and loved on by my family. I am still working on potty training, but I learned how to use a dog door pretty quickly, so my foster mom and dad think I am pretty smart. I get along with other dogs, but would be happy to be the one and only as well. I might take a minute to warm up, but once I do, I will be your very best friend. To meet Wylie, please complete an application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal.
