Story
Lars 505-999-8036She loves to be pet and is very calm normally. She does take a while to warm up to people. She seems to have a little trust issues probably as a result of where she was rescued from. She had since opened up a lot and is friendly but will go on guard when new people come around.

Story
Named after the fiercest dinosaur in history, Rex the Chihuahua brings all the power - in pint- sized, snuggly form. While his namesake roared through the cretaceous, Rex conquers hearts with soft snores and cozy cuddles. Fast on his feet (especially when snacks are involved) and fearless when it comes to claiming a spot on your lap, Rex is proof that the biggest legends sometimes come in the smallest, sweetest packages.

Story
This is Fice! He was born November of 2015. He’ll forever be a puppy. He is such a good pup but also has his quirks. He’s great on a leash, hasn’t ever bitten my toddler who is rough on him (just gives warnings), he’s great with other dogs and cats. He has great recall. Unfortunately I’m looking to rehome him because I give him anxiety. He recently lost his dog best friend and was living with my parents for years. He was great there. No anxiety. He came to live with me and he can’t stand it when I’m not in eye sight. As soon as I leave, he hurts himself in a kennel or starts scratching the baseboards and starts shaking uncontrollably. He never did this while living with my parents so I feel likes it’s a me problem. I feel I’ve tried everything. I spent a lot of money on training, tried medication, cbd, puzzles toys, lots of exercise but nothing is helping and he’s hurting himself. I’m so sad to do this because that’s his only downfall but I feel like he’d be better with someone else.

Story
Meet Popcorn Shy sweetheart with a heart of goldPopcorn is a small, low-energy pup who’s come a long way from a rough start in life. At just 10 pounds, this 5-year-old Chihuahua is the perfect size for cozy cuddles—and cuddle he will! Rescued from an abusive situation, Popcorn has spent the past year learning to feel safe and loved, and he’s blossomed into a deeply affectionate and loyal companion.Once Popcorn decides you’re his person, he’s all in—snuggled up beside you on the couch, keeping you company while you work, or happily trotting after you during play. He’s crate trained, house trained, and perfectly content free-roaming while you’re out during the day. He stays calm when left alone and doesn’t have any separation anxiety.Popcorn currently lives with several other dogs and does well with them, though he prefers slow introductions and a bit of space at first. He also loves cats—he’d happily be best friends with a feline buddy. He’s not a high-energy pup: a short walk and a little playtime are plenty for him. He doesn’t chew or dig, only barks when someone passes by the window, and walks nicely on leash. He’s polite and easygoing with guests once he’s had a chance to warm up.Because of his rough beginnings, Popcorn was very sensitive to fast movements and unfamiliar handling when first rescued, and he did react fearfully in those early days. With gentle care, consistency, and trust-building, he hasn’t shown any concerning behaviors in over a year. He just needs a little patience to feel secure.Popcorn would do best in a quieter home with adults or older kids who understand how to give a shy dog the space and kindness he needs to open up. He doesn’t need a yard and is perfectly happy in an apartment. His favorite thing? Being close to you. If you let him, he’ll happily nap on your head just to be near. If you’re looking for a loyal little buddy who will reward your patience with deep, unconditional love, Popcorn just might be your perfect match.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200. Story
Looking for a pint-sized bundle of joy to brighten your life? Meet Candy! Is your couch crying out for a little gargoyle to perch on? Do you dream of coming home to 18 pounds of spring-loaded happiness? How about a dog who can do an uncanny impression of Bob Ross cleaning his paintbrush? Candy’s got you covered.Candy is a 4-year-old chihuahua / basenji mix with a heart as sweet as her name. She’s incredibly smart and shows signs of prior training, but she’s looking for a patient and loving human to help her brush up on her manners and build her confidence. With consistent boundaries and guidance, she’ll truly shine.Currently, Candy lives in a foster home with two senior dogs and a cat. While she’s tolerant of her furry roommates, she’d thrive as the center of attention in a home where she doesn’t have to compete for love. That said, with thoughtful introductions and the right mix of personalities, she can adapt to a multi-pet household.Candy’s energy level is perfectly in tune with her people. Whether it’s a brisk power walk, a hiking adventure, or simply lounging on the couch, Candy is happiest when she’s near you. Be prepared for her excitement during transitions—like waking up or coming home—but once the initial zoomies are out, she’s ready to match your pace.Candy would do best in a home without small children and with someone who’s retired, works from home, or has a flexible schedule. She doesn’t enjoy being left alone for long stretches. If you’re ready to welcome a cinnamon-doughnut dog with a huge personality into your life, Candy is ready to meet you! Let’s make life sweeter together—reach out to meet Candy today!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-served basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal.
